How did you make the footbridge and the canopy?
Hi Stewart, how do i get hold of your Meon valley Line track layout for train sim? Do you have a link? Cheers, Howard.
facebook.com/groups/163915197661541
Stuart did you ever finish this? 😮
The route was built using the route editor software that comes with train simulator classics. There are tutorials on TH-cam that shows you haw it works
How did you do this, Stewart?
looks amazing!
Impressive work Stewart. Like the operating crossing gates and the semphores though I was a bit worried at around 6:40 that another train had been signalled in to the same section of single track from the oposite direction 🙂
The carriage has cut angle end doors, okay on the GW but not with this company.
If you look above it does say its a work in progress. The engine and consist is only being used for testing .
Someone doesn't know their "railways". I would ask how a Caledonian Railway 0-4-4T. which were widely available on the Scottish region, came to find itself on The Meon Valley Railway? !!!!!!
Its on its holidays and being used for testing.
Cool, Will we be able to take it to all the Links 2003 venues? ;-))
Unfortunately not. lol
Can't imagine whatever had happened with the line, that Tisted would have needed a signal box of that size. For that matter, what was the point of it being there, when you left Tisted, you went straight through a red signal onto the single line. I'd feel safer travelling on the South down bus, if that's the standard of your drivers !!!!!!
Very much a work in progress when this video was made.
What is this game?
Excellent. Looking forward to this extension 😊
Stewart - thank you for this - I love it and want nothing more than for this line to be reinstated (or as close to it ) in real life
This looks fantastic so far
Balloch Pier Station, Balloch St , Jamestown ST , Caldarvan ST , Drymen St, Viaduct . Gartness S t, Balforn ST, Buchlyvie St , Port of Menteith St, Kippen ST, Gargunnock St , Stirling Castle View, Striling Approach .
Kilsyth Station, Twecher Station, Birdstone junction, Hayston, Torrance Station, Balmore Station. Bardowie Station, Summerston Station, Maryhill Station
Hi Stewart, always great to see these videos of the long missed railways come back to life. Would it be possible to add captions to let us know the locations, I'm struggling to visualise where the stations and junctions are as we pass them. Best wishes. Neil.
Kirkintilloch, Twecher, Kilsyth, Colzium, Banknock, Longcroft, Bonnybridge, Larbert , Plean, Bannockburn , Stirling ( I'd better try and learn how to do video captions) 🙂
One of the most interesting sections of the line with the viaduct and tunnel at West Meon. Also shows the very long station platforms (unnecessarily so for the traffic on offer and usual two-coach trains). West Meon platform had a dip part way along where a public footpath crossed the line, a very unusual feature.
Beware of the after school detentions 2 hours
What railway line is this called
The route is called SR1932 .Its the Line from Havant to Fareham a work in progress for Train Simulator. It will join the Hayling Island Branch to the Meon Valley line which are already completed and available at the TRAINS NOW DEPARTED Facebook page facebook.com/groups/163915197661541
I'd totally forgotten about the Forth & Clyde Junction Railway until it took a left! Poor old Balloch, a pale imitation of what it used to be.
Its a game which should give you a rough idea of what it was like. What it isn't is an ordinance survey map. Its not perfect. It wasn't done to make any money just for fun. It is what it is.
What happened to botanic gardens station between Kelvinbridge and Kirklee.
Amazing recreation. Charlie Scott recommended it.
Good video. Charlie Scott who gave us a great tour of this section today recommended it. Guess it took quite a while to make?
The Largo Law is recognisable but the routing is kinda fictional. The first at Charleton is up a hill to a hidden green with three bunkers on the right. Not bad on the second but the left to right slope is far steeper in reality with a second ditch running laterally across the fairway.
It was done a long long time ago and is only a bit of fun for the Microsoft Links Golf game. It is not a commercial product.
Looks great!
Looking very nice, I like the audio of the water, that driver is going some speed though.
Hurrying home for his tea
Just wondering but, is there any chance of this route becoming public?

what do you open the files in once you've downloaded them?
Wow is that smoke on top or is it different particle?
I'd love to see your work on the Basingstoke and Alton Light Railway.
That's a future project not started. YET

Where can i find this to download
Do you Still have the assets for this route?
I like this type of video, as a engineer of the "66", I have some remarks. 1) DMU ? 2) 30-40 pair telephone lines auto-linked to dual-tracks "track refabrication", with maybe some form? of routing around over-bridges 3) weird seeing under-bridges with delusions of grandeur (most unusual remit) 4) lack of signal cabling (the one you forever trip over) I loved the Hospital on London-side of Alton Station and the big yard on the Up side, but "track refabrication" with No Con-Rails on Dn & Up into Alton? (I didn't put a DMU on it ! (mostly, just "Tadpoles" for the Guildford Tunnel)). Lovely line through to Winchester which I only rode over once, much missed by the Southern, meeting the main at Kingsworthy London-side of Winchester, worthy of the then expensive film to record re-routed expresses passing through. Dearly missed travelling on at least part of the Meon Valley line, but exigency of service and other demands precluded visiting this lovely area.
Thank you for your comments. It is still very much a work in progress . There are other videos to keep up with progress as we go along.
Clever work but the meon line was double track throughout. I was hoping this would pass over the tunnel on the A272.
Wasnt it single track with capacity for double
@@cjclow052 yip. it sure was
Looking very nice, nice to see the Adams Radial in action too.
Very interesting. I have done plenty of research about the Shelley light railway, I lived in minster all my life until 2 years ago. It's a shame it was taken up before I was born but alot of it still remains by means of small hints and giveaways.
These are usually fairly accurate but, sadly, there is a lot that bears no resemblance to the real place
Looking Good Stewart.
Did we miss the bit where the road goes under the Caledonian railway bridge because of the views? There seems to be a bit of modellers license going on! Got the feel of it still. Neil.
This is looking more and more impressive, I cannot wait to see it in the workshop so I can download it and drive the line! Have you taken it through to Fareham yet as you don't seem to have shown that stretch in any of your videos?
It will Get to Fareham . We are working our way down. I wont be available in the workshop . You will be able to download it free from the "trains now departed" facebook page when completed.
Stewart you spend the time putting up your videos but don't you answer peoples questions ?
Sorry for the delay i'm not on you tube all the time. The assets come with the routes in Train simulator. If you search in you tube there are lots of Train simulator route building tutorials that explain how it works.

@@bankiesp Thanks I will check it out..
Great piece of work. Like the "spare" double-track over West Meon viaduct. I've walked this part of the route and it definitely gets the feel right.
Thank you
Nice!
Hi Stewart where do you obtain all the station building/ road / bridges details..Thanks
They come with the Train simulator routes. You have to use the route builder to construct your own route. There are videos on you tube that will demonstrate how.

Really does looks great , But where do you obtain all the station building/ road / bridges details..Thanks
These are really good
