Wire Winder
มุมมอง 2K8 ปีที่แล้ว
A simple wire winder to fit on your Munro Autodriver and allow you to roll wire up onto your old Southern Wire wooden spools
wood splitting with a munro post driver
มุมมอง 2.2K8 ปีที่แล้ว
I'd never spend the money on a wood splitter, I don't do enough of it however, I do have a post driver. I thought I'd make a new attachment; a bit of heavy plate, some drill pipe and an old splitter head and off she goes.
Double Gate latch
มุมมอง 5K8 ปีที่แล้ว
I found one of my guys had put a couple of gate latches on back to front; good opportunity to make a video explaining why they go on differently than you'd expect i.e. they look right the wrong way around, they just don't work that way.
Wire Bending
มุมมอง 2698 ปีที่แล้ว
Just a little machine I built to help bend a gazillion wires for a job. We drill every post, feed the tail through from the front, trap the wire in the pre-made bend, pull it tight and bring it around to the front to be twitched off on a line wire. Clients request.
Tighten barb wire for 5 cents

A quick and cheap method of tightening old barb wire.
Quicker with an axe.. cool tho
Smart
Where do you buy your stretchers?
They are Strainrite strainers, a NZ made product bought through my local store.
Can you make a video on this driver? I'm wanting to build a similar setup with my munro.
Munro have an attachment available, could save you some work.
What is the make of the strainers with tension spring. Good knot. Thanks
They are Strainrite strainers from NZ. The gauge is a seperate part number but also from strainrite.
Good instructional video.
How to make two ton
Where can I purchase this lock?
This is a gallagher product, they are available at most rural outlets in Australia.
Good one...
I'd like to see that done with 8 gauge ............
I’ve done this knot countless times with 8 gauge. My favourite wire to do this with is 3.15mm high tensile or 10 gauge, which is tougher than 8
WOW!
Seams unneccery and time consuming
Yes it may seem unnecessary however, it doesn't take that long under normal circumstances. The extra frills are really just a signature of sorts. What would I use instead?
nice work mate👍
good vid, we've been using the tex brown for about 2 or 3 years here in the UK. I cross the wires between the 2 posts but I like the way you pull them together and finish it off
Every contractor seems to have a signature, I can usually tell who has worked somewhere by the way they build their end assemblies, that just my signature I guess.
thank you for sharing you fencing skills its gonna be real helpful on my job I know how to patch wire with just pliers and a hammer or rod to tension the wire
More recently we've welded a 50mm long piece of 25mm mild steel to the flat on that little tool; the 25mm has two holes drilled in it end on to accomodate the "prongs"? of the staple. This helps keep the staple stable and allow tighter wire.
Are you using a 6 gauge x 2.5" staple?
Hello, Sorry I don't know what 6 gauge converts to however the staples were 4mm x 50mm staples. This was a pretty poor video and not long after we perfected the method and could do it very quickly.
Thanks, 4mm x 50mm = 6 gauge x 2"
What is the little tool you are using to twist the staples and bend them? -very slick!
The tool is just a Gallagher wire twitcher. essentially just a peice of tube that has been flattened at one end and had holes drilled in it. Usless for its intended purpose, much more useful for re-tensioning barb with a staple.
