Pensacola Railfest 2022 Haul!! Lots of MTH and Lionel Trains!
I remember visiting this place when I was first getting into HO Scale. Got a good bunch of stuff, include some used rolling stock. Tried looking it up today only to learn it's gone. I only went once, but I'll still miss it.
611 is housed at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke!! She's a beauty in real life!
A good Lionel streamliner is a joy to behold. That was a nice matched set of classic EMD diesels at the end.
Williams for the win Shame Bachmann destroyed the line.
Now that’s a train room!!
VERY NICE COLLECTION. POSTWAR RULES! CLEAN THEM, LUBE THEM, RUN THEM, ENJOY THEM.😊
I have a postwar one so I dint have to worry about belts but I would go and get an O ring assortment and try that instead of gluing rubber bands just a observation
Fun layout! What is the overall size?
12' X 24'
Wouldn't using a small spray bottle be easyer for the mod podge?
I love the EJ&E. Great to see one running. Thanks, I watched it once at work and twice this evening.
The GP38 is PURDY... not then some!!! 😃
i love my 682 turbine and i also have a 671work train and a 2020 work train i do wanr a 681 to tom

The Tennessean is Train Number 26?
They do make assorted sizes of all different width rubber bands. And yes a good quick fix is to cut to size using super/crazy glue, but it's not a permanent solution and will eventually fail at the glue point. As long as you have a reference size to go off of, search the internet for a assortment package of rubber bands and you will have something which will work, I've had to do this many times before on not just lionel products but other manufacturers who no longer support or supply replacement parts for their items. If your having issues with slippage and you cannot find an exact tightness? Try with a piece of sand paper to roughen up your pulleys to supply additional surface area and grip. This will most certainly solve your problems in the future. Good video and valuable information for these items. Thanks bro. 😊
I removed the old belt that was slipping and took it to the local hardware store. They had an assortment of O-rings with a 2mm rubber thickness. I picked one just slightly smaller in diameter than the original rubber band. It works great with no slippage and no worry about a rubber glue joint.
With out sound please

How do you separate the frame from the tank? My #6035 has no screws. Does it just pull apart?

My absolute FAVORITE postwar Lionel set! The 2140WS💪
Ooo nice engine
I have Lionel post war trains also have the MKT NW 2 600 and the Texas special Alco plus other Lionel locomotives
I’ve seen it
The EARY - EASTERN ALABAMA GP38-2 runs in my neighborhood a lot, besides it’s the same paint type.
I would love to.know where the shop was where you saw the coal ramp! Over all very nice haul!
You didn't even bother to tell us how much you paid for everything. It would had been a better video if you had. Why didn't you?
Ill trade my postwar stuff for that fish you got mounted on the wall
Everything in your video is definitely of the post-war era (1945-1969) with the exception of that green cattle car, it is of the MPC era (1970-1984) That turbine locomotive is absolutely beautiful!!
Gg 1 your plans
The appearance of age and decomposition can be great adds to a Lionel layout. The broken gondola could be "welded" or its trucks on a shop siding as spares! That caboose is awesome, and I would consider not cleaning it up too much, but oiled, clean axles, yes!
What great condition your 800 series cars are in ! The 260 Loco seems in equally good shape ! The 800 series was Lionel's larger series of cars before WWII . They were closer to 1:48th proportions ecxept for the length .
Congratulations! That's a fantastic assortment you picked up at that flea market! And don't feel bad for what you paid, if the seller's happy and you're happy there's no reason for guilt. Here's the lesson for everyone, DON'T discount flea markets as a source for toy trains! You never know what's in there until you look! It's no guarantee you'll find some good stuff BUT I've gotten some "right-place, right-time" deals at flea markets myself. You're going to love those Williams products! Williams trains were damn near bulletproof and it's a shame Bachmann bought the line and then didn't know what to do with it. One bit of advice I'll give you on the Genesis diesel, if it's like the twin-motor Williams diesels I've got it's probably going to take off like a rocket when you power it up. An easy fix, wire the motors in series and it'll tame it right down. It'll also improve the illumination of the passenger cars as well since it'll take more power to get the engine moving. Since there's little to no collector interest in Williams trains the prices tend to be VERY reasonable when you find them and there's still plenty out there. You know, that fantasy B&O Heritage unit looks a LOT better than the Half-Heritage unit CSX is running now! Again, well done! Thanks for posting
nice layout what are the dimensions
Label says dump back in the container and use it over again.
Do these pass through Lake City FL? If so, how often?
Yes they will sometimes but mostly it’s the SD70M-2s but they have a really nice paint scheme too and an amazing horn. You’ll see them Monday - Friday couple times per day.
Things have changed a lot used to be short line railroad. You would see GP 9 or GP38 or GP 40 maybe switch engines. Now you you may see SD 40-2 and maybe SD 50.I seen ex BN SD 70 and ex CSX SD 70.You never know nowadays.
❤️🇺🇸❤️
Mine is shorting out when I try and activate the uncoupling section to dump my 3469 dump car. Trying to figure that out. Also, it will go up, but not down and that’s a little loose piece on the remote board. Not sure how to solder it. But this was bought brand new and even had all the plastic still on everything. After 2 years everything thing seems to be failing. I like the quietness, but if I can’t fix it, maybe get a postwar one
Speaking as a man who's home town that was once served by the Seaboard Air Line.Later Seaboard Coast Line.I went to a school by the tracks.I got to see GP 9 and 7 pulling fast freight. The SF 45 with the slogan "PULLING FOR YOU"Being born the the late 1960s.I saw boxcars from the 1940 and 1950s there were still using wooden gons with steel bracing. And yes the orange caboose Whole I have a collection of o gauge trains.I have a few MTH mohawks steam locomotives.Called mountain type in the south. They were very popular down here.Any way I was detailed one for Seaboard Air line. The thing is its hard to find the right decals for Seaboard. I also liked your Seaboard Hudson. And yes their were real locomotives painted like that. They where pacifics but close enough. You can see my Seaboard mountain at Eric Oxner or 889ts.
That is one fine looking example of the Sam the Semaphore Man. Thanks for showing.
Thanks for sharing. I found the Evapo-rust on Amazon and I'm going to order some. On those wheels, just a drop of light oil where the wheels meet the axles and those will spin like a Hot Wheels car.
