Ford Ranger replace Cruise Control Buttons without pulling steering wheel - 98 through 2011
The cruise buttons always get dried out and crack apart. I bought some cheap ones from Amazon and the reviews were decent on them, some guys have had them for 3 years and more, so I decided to try them. They worked great. The wired were a little shorter than desired, but overall they worked and was not too bad.

02 Ford Ranger Anti Theft Light - Fixed - Code 14
มุมมอง 4472 หลายเดือนก่อน
My 02 Ford Ranger had a no crank, no start issue for years, but seemed to only happen during the hot summer months. If the outside temp was over 90° the truck would not crank over and the security light would flash. I finally decided to diagnose the problem and I found out that you can watch the flashing security light and determine a code. See codes below for Anti-Theft Security issues: 1 : 3 ...
Dometic Awning Installation - New Tricks
มุมมอง 1515 หลายเดือนก่อน
I found a few tricks to make installing the awning much easier. I leave the awning rolled up like a burrito when sliding it into the top rail. I just used a small clamp at each end to keep the fabric rolled up and then slid it through the rail. Everyone else unrolls the fabric and then they fight it all the way. Hope this helps others.
Chevy GMC Trucks Sloppy Shifter Repair - SM465 4 Speed #chevytrucks #chevytruck

This applies to the GM manual 4 speed transmissions that came in all the older trucks up through bout 91, it is the SM465 but this trick works for the earlier SM420 as well. My shifter was really bad and this trick helped tighten it up tremendously. It feels way better.
Hustler Mower Deck Idler Pulley Replacement and bent deck repair.

Repairing bent deck where Idler Pulleys attach. These pulleys will start leaning over time due to the deck bending right where the bolt goes through. This is how I fixed my deck. Hope this helps others with the same issue.
2009 and up V8 Camaro SS A/C Belt (Stretch Belt) replacement #camaross #camaro2ss
มุมมอง 5199 หลายเดือนก่อน
2011 V8 Camaro SS (2SS as some call them) (this process should be the same from 2009 and up) air conditioning and engine belt replacement. This has the stretch belt which can be a pain. If you try to use screw drivers or other tools, you can very easily damage the grooves and or edges of the crankshaft pulley. It's best to use a special tool as I did. Yes, I know the engine bay is very dirty, l...
Chevy Silverado Cheap Running Boards Review and Install - Yitamotor Brand (China) #2500HD
มุมมอง 33911 หลายเดือนก่อน
Bought some cheap ($138 off Amazon, on sale) Yitamotor brand running boards for my 2016 Silverado 2500HD Double Cab. They will fit 2014 - 18 and maybe other years. I read the reviews on them and they were pretty decent overall. I decided to buy them for the price and I will say they aren't bad. Easy to install and sturdy enough to handle my fat butt, lol, I weigh in about 190 lbs. I'm pretty pl...

It’s in the description of the video: code 15 says key is not programmed to PATs security system. It sounds like the chip in the key is bad or needs to be programmed. They can do them at Ace Hardware a lot cheaper than the dealer.
Do you know what code 15 is?
For me I just brought it nothing changed bruh helpp
If there is a check engine light on the dash, you can get the codes read at a parts store like O'reily or Autozone. If no check engine light, then I would check spark plugs first, especially if they have more than 125K miles on them. If those are good, I would clean the Mass Air Flow sensor. If it is neither of those, then it could be a lot of other things such as O2 Sensor, or Coolant Temp Sensor, but hopefully there are trouble codes stored in the engine computer. Good luck, thanks for watching.
@ fuel pump?
What about 2wd trucks. I looked under mine and it's just the pitman arm to the bar that connects the tie rods, one adjustment bracket on passenger side by wheel and one that goes right to drivers side
It's basically the same process except you will need to turn both sides equally. The best way is to take a sharpie or some other ink marker and make some marks on the turnbuckles each side and the main bar going across and on the tie rods. Anything to keep track of the number of turns so you don't lose track. I would do like quarter turn marks on each one. Then, just make sure you turn each one that same number of turns. This will keep the alignment the same and will only affect your pitman arm and your steering wheel location. The direction of the turnbuckles should be the same on both sides. Also, I would start with only like a quarter or half turn on each side and then drive it to see, because a little bit goes a long way. Good luck.
A most invaluable video! Thanks for uploading this video! I used this video to change out my gearbox and utilized every step that you did...including the flushing with the jumper wire. A lot of other videos didn't show the flushing part.
Very informative and helpful thanks
Glad it was helpful, thanks for watching.
Thank you...thank you for documenting this!!!!
Such a beast
Whenever I cant afford health care I watch these videos to make me feel better.😊
Removal was important if ur gonna reuse it
Agreed. If I was going to reuse the belt the little tool has a removal function as well but it would probably work better from the bottom. Thanks for watching.
Our 2012 Laredo has probably another year left on the awning so I'm already learning the right way to do this when the time comes. Thank you fo taking time showing us👍
Yeah, I would definitely keep the awning rolled up and put some clamps on the edges to keep it rolled. If I would have had two tall ladders, things would've went much easier. I've seen everyone else completely unrolling the awning on the ground and then trying to fish it into the top rail, all the while it is getting hung up on everything and has a chance to get torn. Good luck.
What's the part number for the idler pulley kit?
I will check my receipt when I get home, hopefully I still have it. But I'm pretty sure the two fixed pulley kits are 126124 (pulley and fat washer) and this part number replaces the old 604231 which has the smaller dia and longer length spacer. I remember looking all this up before I went to Hustler dealer. But, I will double check on my receipt, assuming I still have it.
I found the receipt and the part number is the 126124 like I thought. Also the other pulley on the tensioner is 604792. Hope this helps
I lost like 3 quarts when I took those lines off. Was not expecting thatcmuch to come out. How much came out for you?
I had siphoned out as much as I could from the power steering pump. That's what that small hose was at the start of the video. I had talked about it but due to editing to conserve time, that part kinda got edited out. Sorry! But, I just inserted a small dia rubber hose and then ran it down to a pan on the ground.
Great video Coram Deo billyd
My Hustler Raptor XDX blades when turned touching are not level, I put new blades on thinking it was a bent blade, put the exact amount of air in all wheels, measured the deck to ground from both sides and it was correct. Still cutting with a thin patch of grass higher than the other. I guess that is my problem a bent pulley or deck. Thank You. Very helpful.
Where to buy the blue ?
I ordered mine direct from their website: bluetopsteeringgears-com.3dcartstores.com/
That’s how ford left my steering wheel lol I was like why is it sideways, took it back, now a few months later decided to look underneath my truck and check the steering gear box cz I still had play, bruh why the gear box looks just like the old one haha they never replaced it😢
Good video thanks
Great video. Thankyou.
I wish her the best ❤❤❤❤🐎🍼❤❤❤❤
So who are all of you?? That's right, get out. This is my world and you are just visiting 😊😊

WHERE'S HER MAMA!!!
I added a description on the video just now. She was abandoned by her mother and was found wandering in a field in eastern Kansas. She was taken to Hope in the Valley Equine Rescue located in Valley Center, KS. They are a volunteer group that is taking good care of Josie
Okay, she's cute, but where is her mother if she's only 10 days old?
Possibly back in the trailer, and most likely sleeping while she can!

Oh my goodness that is one little shit she's gonna be something else.
She's beautiful!
Your steering damper is shot, it’s leaking. They go bad, I’m changing mine again now, 2nd time.
This happens until the spider sells its soul to the moth
Thank you so much this is a great video.
Thanks for watching, hopefully it will help you with yours.
That's nice. Dad gets to help you out still. I'm diving into mine. I got all the symptoms. Aligned it to make sure. Toe was out just a bit, but I got it centered spot on now. Just gonna have to throw down the money and do the box. I chose BBB Industries though for just a regular reman box. I was between that and the Blue Top like you chose.
2 cute babies 😥
Thanks for the great video, were you able to provide the link for the pitman arm spline numbers? Thanks, Butch
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching!
Added note, Check wiring harness plugs for burned ends, my driver side was the bulb was good
Good input. I typically do look at the connectors when I pull them off just to check for corrosion or burnt wires, etc. Thanks for watching.
I only hoped to replaced valve cover gasket and in doing so feel like I cursed my gf 2007 sonata 3.3. After that took forever to get down to the covers i used steel wool and carb cleaner to clean as much as possible and reassembled the car threw codes for both solenoids. I replaced them after the longest fight with a car in my life. Got it rolling for 4 months, then a few weeks ago, the car started shaking real bad and got code p0018 and all the spark plugs. Needless to say I am very disappointed. I worry the oil pump screen is clogged, vvt solenoids need replaced again, timing chain is ruined, or the fact that I dont have the mustard to do the job.
Dang that stinks. I was really worried about mine after I changed them but they held up until I sold the car. I don’t know if you bought factory Hyundai solenoids or not but sometimes the ones from autozone and Oreily can fail prematurely. It’s definitely a poor design from Hyundai. I’m now buying Toyota vehicles and so far so good. Fingers crossed 🤞

Thats angel dust eating moth boy 💀
Good video and everyone has their opinions but I had a Redhead steering box installed on my 2004 F350 Superduty after the sector shaft on the stock box twisted in half, yikes! . It steers easier and more positive than it did when the truck was brand new. I honestly don’t know the difference in the remanufacturing between the Bluetop and the Redhead but so far I’m a believer in the Redhead.
Yes, I've heard the Redheads are really good as well. I was looking at them before I found the Blue Top gears. I read a lot of reviews on both of them and I found them both to be good. The only reason I went with the Blue Top was because it was $100 less expensive. I didn't plan on keeping my truck for more than a few years and since the blue top had really good reviews, I figured I'd save the 100 bucks. I will say that if I had a newer truck that I was going to keep for 10 yrs or more, I'd probably have gone with the Redhead. Thanks for watching.
@@Roybwatchin Yep, that all makes sense to me and like you I would opt to save the 100 bucks too if not keeping the truck long term. I however made the decision when I bought my truck new in ‘04 that it could quite possibly be the last truck I ever purchased. I’ve invested the $’s for many upgrades for the 6.0 issues and other things for the long term and the truck is still in excellent condition overall. As I mentioned before I’m very happy with the choice in steering gearbox that I have and I know you are too. Stay safe out there and keep on keepin’ on!
The blue top steering made my steering a bit better but it still wonders
I would check all the items I talk about in the beginning of the video. You really need to put truck on stands with both front wheels off the ground slightly and check all the items. If the upper and lower ball joints are not out of grease and bind when you turn the wheel, or the U joints (assuming it's 4x4) are not bound up, and all the steering tie rod ends, links, etc are good, then you likely need to look at the pump. The pumps on these are weak from the factory and I've read that its hard to find a good replacement. Some guys buy new ones and they are worse than the original. So, if you need a new pump, I've heard Napa has a decent one, but I would stay away from the remanufactured ones. Do some online reviews of several until you find one that you trust. I've even heard of guys that buy a factory one from Ford and have had issues. Luckily, the pump isn't that hard to change, but still a pain. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@Roybwatchin I had replaced the entire front end earlier in the summer. Upper and lower ball joints universal joints, tie rod ends, track bar, steering link and damper.
@@stuartbrock7586another thing to check is the leaf spring bushings.
DOGGOOOOOOO! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
Did it correct the issue? Same symptoms but no tear in that hose
Yes it did!
cool vjdeo and useful of info. You are good with that!Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for sharing, that is such a neat little toy I bet she did have more fun than the kids did, I always feel like I have more fun when I ride the mower with my kids, we chain up a power wheels behind it and all 5 of my kids pile on ages 4-13. Since you commented on mine I thought I'd return the favor since you have some neat wares to gander at thank ya.
Thanks for watching!
Poor moth it’s one of those cute moth species too :(
Changed mine but car still bucking. Do i have to change the MAF or service the throttle
Could be a number of things. Was the intake hose torn and that's why you replaced it? The MAF can cause bucking, but so can many other things including one that gets overlooked all the time and that is spark plugs. Depending on how many miles on your car, the spark plugs are only good for around 100 - 150K miles before the electrodes are worn and the gap is too large. This often gets overlooked. Is it throwing any codes, is the check engine light on? Might be good to check the codes if the engine light is on. Good luck!
@Roybwatchin Hey thanks for your reply, it was actually my sparkplugs. My intake hose was torn actually so i had to replace that. But my sparkplugs i got from Autozone just 3 months ago went kaput on me. I actually didn't look there initially because i had changed them a few months ago. But i got new ones and everything is fine now.
Having a very similar situation with my 07. Hit bumps and she wants to dance. Seems like a lot of play in the wheel as well. Front end components all good
My 350 does the same thing. I’ve been threatening to replace the gearbox forever. Now I have a great tutorial! Thanks!!
No problem 👍
Good god!! I have chasing this for months and never once thought about looking for that split. Sure enough mine is split in the same spot!! Outstanding damn video, thank you!!
