Very helpful!!!
Thank you so much for this. I am doing Duolingo and I’m on the section for possessives and it doesn’t explain ANYTHING. God bless you. I’ll watch your entire series to make my learning experience more thorough. Keep up the great work ❤. Mahalo nui
Aloha! Trying to find the "Hawaiian Language Co-page #" to retrofit computer for translation and printing in Hawaiian. The USA EPA Region 9 Environmental Justice and Civil Rights Indigenous Webinars described "Translation Science"; and "Language Justice" issues. It also appears that in many cases where the Indigenous Peoples in many lands were oppressed and not allowed to speak their own language. In the TMT Contested Case Hearing, the Hearings Officer Violated the law when she put the State of Hawai'i Language Access Coordinator "under orders not to allow a Hawaiian Language Interpreter".
Aloha and mahalo nui loa! I love it!
I have used your videos to teach my kids the Hawaiian Language and it has helped them a lot. Also shared your videos to my sister and oldest son in Texas to learn Hawaiian language. My sister is now teaching her granddaughter. Love your videos continue to make them and maybe go a level higher to help build their confidence in speaking Hawaiian ❤❤❤
This lesson did go deep, but the information is so valuable! Mahalo!
I love this channel. Thank you so much!
ke kuku wahine în my bantu tongue sound like your saying it my grandmother Ke koko waka 😂
Hawaiian sound like a buntu language teeth=niho=meno=zino head=poo bandu(sepedi) =hlogo it sound the same and also the use of ke ka ha wa na 😂
In Portuguese we use "este", "esse" and "aquele" (and the variants for female and plural (f and m. So, we have 12 diferent words) in the same way the Hawaiian.
Filipino and Indonesian both have the same construction in linking verb sentences. Adjective or noun first, followed by the subject. The way she explained it though was extremely insightful. I wish I could have heard it explained that way when I was studying Tagalog; it would have brought much clarity to the grammar.
Hi, how do you say 'blessed home' in hawaiian? Thanks
Amazing, mahalo ❤
Aloha I’m from France and I’m learning the Hawaiian language, Mahalo, mālama pono :)
THIS IS A GAME CHANGER! Mahalo nui!
To be fair, it isn't vain if it's true 😍
mahalo!!!
mahalo!!
mahalo:)
I appreciate the lessons! I started studying hawai'ian since deciding to visit hawai'i again. I don't want this language to die out!
I am so grateful you have done this.
So helpful. Mahalo
Love your page!
Mahalo nui loa, Laura
Mahalo! I love your videos. I e learned so much. Question, I thought you only used “ko” for plural. Like ko koʻu makuahine. Only one mother or does that describe my 2 mothers?. It’s not just koʻu makuahine for a singular mother?
thank you for this episode, this Hawaiian grammar subject has always befuddled me.
I am so glad I found your channel, what has been confusing for me about learning Hawai'ian is the unpredictable in Duolingo it is sometimes the same as the English and other times a sentence will be odd if literally translated so my struggle is knowing when this occurs. Grammar concepts are confusing in American English, so understanding them in other languages is hard for me.
This is tough, but your tutorials are so helpful! I will keep practicing!❤
Like many others here in the comments secrion, I am also learning through Duolingo. This grammar explanation is a necessary and helpful supplement to Duolingo. Or rather, Duolingo is a good supplement to this lesson. Now that I have the concept, drilling on Duolingo is less confusing. Thank you so much for this excellent lesson!
Just learn English ……..AT LEAST!!!!! Why the hell would anyone bother to learn a dead language????
This is great. Mahalo.
This was so helpful!! Thank you!!!
I really hope you make more videos in the future! I just started learning Hawaiian and these have been extremely helpful.
great videos I agree with the other comments too😊 so much love I read in them!
But babe……NONE OF THIS IS HAWAIIAN!!!!!! GET IT????? THE EUROPEANS BROUGHT YOU ALL THIS!!! YOU……..NEVER HAD A WRITTEN LANGUAGE!!!! So I’m off on a 10 day vacation…….SO WHY THE HELL WOULD I BOTHER WITH THIS CRAP????? HOW IS YOUR JAPANESE OR GERMAN??? SO BOTTOM LINE……..YOU PEOPLE CAN’T EVEN UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER ON THE SAME ISLAND!!!!!!!
Who passed in your cereal my guy

so much better than duolingo! mahalo!!! 😊
This is my 4th time going through the whole series. You’re almost literally the only Hawaiian resource on TH-cam with any real consistency. I love your series and wish you were able to keep expanding on it. Mahalo nui!
Hello again! How do you pronounce the words Ioane, umikumamaono, oia, Mana’o i’o ia ia ? Mahalo in advance
Oh sorry about asking about oia.
Your videos are amazing to listen and learn. Thank you.
I've been using duolingo to learn Hawaiian and I keep getting ke, ka and nā wrong, but the app doesn't tell you WHY it's wrong, or where the property place is for each. This video was very helpful. Thank you!
Late to the party, but these are so helpful and well done! Mahalo
