Some awesome photos that I see here 😎👍🏼🫶🏽. My opinion on the Q3 is, that I don’t need it and I decided to go for the Q2 about 1 year ago. That’s all you need and nearby the same except of the display on the Q3 which I don’t like and the better video features, which I don’t need. I have to say that I also use my XPro3 a lot especially on holidays and a love to use much more my M240 for Photoshoots. Anyway the Q3 is a beautiful camera and your photos on point 👌🏼

For me it's lens is just too large to be considered a compact camera. It almost doubles the size of the x100 series, it's larger then standard M mount with a number of lenses, and that would be fine if it was detachable but it's not. If I'm getting a compact camera then it should fit in a large coat pocket for travel. This camera is large enough and an irregular enough shape that it needs a dedicated camera bag, and if you're bringing a camera bag anyway why not bring an interchangeable system with multiple lenses?

Played with a Q2 for about an hour or so. Just not a fan of the focal length. I'll stick with my M11 and M Monochrom.

Awesome video man! The shots you shared are just stunning. But I guess editing in post they didn't feel different compared to the M11, right? If I remember it correctly they both share the same sensor. Did you ever shot with the first digital M bodies, the M8 / M9?

I have a Sony A1 + 35mm f1.4 GM and a Q3. I end up using the Q3 for pictures almost exclusively unless it's not handy and I need to grab a quick picture. Picture quality, sharpness, rendering, colors, and user experience make the Q3 a joy to use.

What are your thoughts on the Leica Q3? Very curious!

do you use the Leica for your professional work?

Which scanner were you using? I just got the Opticfilm 120 and the details I got from it is crazy too. I’m scanning them into around 8000x6000.

Nice film holder reel dawgie! I got the janky essential film holder. I don;t mean to hate. It is a great budget option, but that looks solid. Anyway. Congrats on the expensive purchase. Xpan's aspect ratio is indeed "cinema" like but there are two issues that I face. 1. Its not friendly for smart phone viewing. Your photos in the reel is compressed to a small strip on my screen, losing all the resolutions that a 135 offers. 2. With the issue from 1.- why not just crop in post for any 3x2 image since we are losing resolutions anyway? It will save us a lot of money from getting an xpan. This is of course from the perspective of social media user in which your reel appeals to.
