Thank you for your video I'm going to try and move my right rear out, i am a large racer and my kart pushes in, middle and out it's just miserable to drive and I'm trying everything with the front end and tire pressures but never did anything with the rear spacing, both rear tires are in as far as they can go so again thank you for your video and i will definitely start with the right rear
So if ur kart is pretty good but u want it to be a little looser center off could u add a little more camber?
You telling me its like spring rate just helped me alot, never thought of it like that
dude,you're a genius
So laying your right front down will help your kart turn if your pushing? Or does it mean i got to much left rear grip?or tires to soft all together? Or could it be im running to low air pressures? Where would you adjust first, but will laying the right front down help some is what im really asking?😳 Please chime in bro,🥺
you seconded the notion of my thinking, the guy.....😊
Low cross with high inside low outside on dry slick tire temps come off nearly exactly even after 39 laps. My temps ranged 182-183
It was 105 deg out direct sun
If a local tract started a kart series but banned any tire treatment would you race it?
Huh???
If the ratio is the same on the mini gears vs standard gears what causes the difference in acceleration curve?
Im assuming weight
Hi John, with the ratio the same generally the max RPM will be relatively the same (usually within 100rpm) . The difference in the acceleration curve is due to gear size, chain momentum, and rotational weight. If you have a moment, go check out our video on gearing combinations, I think you’ll find it interesting.😁
I like my hybrid
Great videos but the added in clips of comments kills it for me .
A inertia Dyno requires software, laptop, wiring, sensors in order to see the data *in the form of pounds*** A hydraulic Dyno requires oil and a gauge to see the data *in the form of pressure*** So when compared to dynos, why wouldn't a racer spend $100 on a tire pressure monitor system (tpms) that records the spike in pressure sending it Bluetooth to your phone app in a graph from just like the setup in this video? Takes only couple minutes to install and you can use on race day. You would be seeing your loads exactly as you see them in the video, only it will be in the form of pressure
In order for you to collect all that data, did you need the software, laptop, wiring and sensors?
Waaw super
Do you have a recommendation on seat height of floor pan per weight of driver? Like 90-110 pounds 1.5” off floor pan and 150-200 pound driver .75” off the floor pan? Just examples
It’s definitely difficult to be instructional at the track!
I really appreciate the videos. These came at a perfect time. Trying to learn this stuff to help my son, and there is just so little out there explaining the basics and the various adjustments out there we can be making for him on a race day.
I hope you do another video on the new mini gear systems, is their chassis dyno comparisons anywhere?
How do you essentially pick what RPM you want your motor to turn? I run a BSP sealed motor. The saying here is around 5800 rpm. We are on a big 1/4 mile asphalt with sweeping turns.
We talk to our engine maker and he'll give us a range depending on the type of engine then we try and adjust our gear so that the rpm's fall into that range.
Or, in your case, "they say" 5800. Try gearing for 5600, 5700, 5800, 5900, and let the stopwatch tell you which is quicker.
Thanks great help.
Is there a difference in gear ratio with a 120 link chain and 108 link chain?
Nooo ratio wont change
I have been searching videos to understand cross weight and finally found it. Thank you for the video. Now i dont need to refer to anything when adjusting my rc car cross weight because i can visualise it in my head.
How much cross was added in this demonstration to show those numbers on your graph
I know its just a drawing but are your tires that offset from eachother?
Hi Charillz, the drawing is exaggerated to help the explanation of the underlying principle
z baar flexes more. its longer! bend a 24" stick vs a 6" stick what flexes more?
Hi Bondar33, I would agree if both were straight. However, the key in this situation is the bends which add the rigidity to the Z-Bar.
Phantom has 83 on some the charger has 95 and works great with heavier driver was the kind of information the people want. That was just an example. But your information was good to know. Now I know a chassis flexes.
If you wanna make a good decision, choose Phantom racing chassis...... period!!
Those of us with lung problems generally cannot be around an open container that has gasoline in it It's something about certain chemicals that makes our problems worse
Sorry to hear that, William. Definitely can make adjustments to use a closed container. Safety first for sure!
I am 6,1 and 225 pounds and 35 years old . Racing a 70 + Horsepower Open Outlaw Kart with a cr500 . All my Kart does it push really really hardn...it's a S.K.E chassis ? Where should I start. ...The kart rides Wheelies on the Straits . Do I need some weight up front ?
This is very valuable information 💪
😀 Promo_SM
Probably one of my favorite videos on this channel yet. 🙌🏼 nobody talks about it bc it’s easier to just adjust one corner at a time. The high cross push is exactly what made me look into and understand more about chassis rake/ride heights
Awesome!! Thank you for watching!!!!
This is one of my favorite channels tons of information. And a great message at the end.
That’s funny you say that Frank, cause your channel is one of my favorites as well! What you are doing for the Dirt Karting Community will last for generations!
What you got cookin in the crockpot in the background?
An Axle Bearing Casserole 🤪
Thank you bud the Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to go racing with my daughter it’s been 25 years since I’ve been around a kart your videos have helped me get up to speed and I love how you use it as a ministry keep it up
Man I needed to hear that for sure great video
Thanks Roger!
great video and it shows what the setup should be but not how to get there ...
Thank you Tom!
for me may be 50y of racing but you are so right what you just said thank you
Thank you Jeff!
So in that case would this be caused from too low of air pressure
Hi Dynamic, it definitely could be! Or can be caused by overloading the tire and causing sidewall deflection
We definitely need some more videos
With all this additional data is additional sensors required for it? Coming from a alfano this mychron stuff is new to me
I'm curious how your getting the tire info.
Hi Sean, the tire load channels are derived from lateral and longitudinal acceleration acquired by the MyChron itself. The tire temp readings are from the AiM Tire Temperature Sensor Kit that we offer at www.kartspeedsolutions.com/store/kart-products/tire-temperature-sensors-kit
@@dnoftzthose readings are from the AiM Tire Temperature Sensor Kit that we offer at www.kartspeedsolutions.com/store/kart-products/tire-temperature-sensors-kit
Give us some more of those guitar solos David haha Really cool graphs man how can I setup a wheel load graph or is that a math Chanel you created?
Thanks Mac!
I like the new music way better.
Thank you!😊
I know you want your seat mounting bolts with wiggle room, but what are your opinions on having that wiggle but also drilling the holes in the sest for the bolts a hair bigger in diameter to help with flex as well?
Yes sir, I do that as well!
When you aay keep seat straight should it be straight with the frame forward or be straight with rhe steering column?
Hi Jeremy, I was meaning straight with the steering upright that connects the steering shaft to the chassis.
So when you advise having the struts to the frame tight, the slight looseness of the seat you advised earlier in the video should be in the strut-to-seat bolts?
Yes sir, that is correct
Thank you for making this video David
UAS setup!
Yes sir, I’m working on it!😁
I just started watching and idk if you’ve ever done this video before but maybe do a gearing video and how the gearing works and just stuff like that?
Awesome suggestion!
