That car looks like Frank Sinatra.
Keeping up with the Lincoln Mk V, Bill Blass, Cartier, Givenchy, and Pucci Editions
Needs Corinthian leather and t-tops, Because I did it My Way
My boss drove one back then. With all the tapes I know why he always sang Frank's songs.
Sinatra was so out of tune by 82😂
Totally on point in my opinion. This screems for a update video on the future of Jaguar with al we know so far.
The SS-100 at 7:12: Thinking of vintage Jags, I used to know a guy who owned an SS-100 a long time ago. -And then suddenly, a picture of the (formerly his) actual car!
I had one in bright red. Loved it till the turbo unspooled
We had one when I was young
Are pax tires still a thing?
Yep. Actually designed by a 13yo boy in Los Angeles to bring back the Ford Falcon badge. Sent in to Ford for a $25 drawing prize in 1979. Reply letter from Ford one year later said that they do not accept unsolicited drawings. Then there she was in the flesh in year one of production.
Just fucking hideous too. America makes trash.
Love the exp, very cool car
I bought one used , I survived the severe torque steer the broken sub frame added to the fun .
My dad bought my Sister one in the late 80's and she cried that it was Manual. Not the turbo but fun car Gold with sunroof
Crx or this. Yeah this wouldn't get a look in
Absolute embarrassment 😮😮
Saab also had the trx tires insanely expensive
Coker makes them now. Not bad pricing at all considering they are 15.3” odd ball stuff
@@EssenKujo-dq9juthey make the Mustang sized ones (390mm) the EXP used 365mm tires which are still no longer available
Put this engine and struts front and rear suspension in an 84 escort gt. Got it to run mid to high 13's back in 1990. Real fun sleeper
One ugly car. I remember the frog car
Never seen one with the roof chopped off. Makes it look like the later 3000S.
Good video but one mistake. The Pontiac Fiero was built on a steel space frame and not an aluminum frame. Still its a great fun car to own and drive.
I had 2 Fieros here in the UK, a 87 SE and a 85 GT Notchie manual. Great cars for the day and so much fun. The lazy V6 even sounded pretty decent.
It was supposed to be corvette with a small engine but corvette didn’t want it so Pontiac took it
It looked like a mclaren at first
Woot sub #721!
Yes sir my uncle has 2 of them and wow they are fast and cool 😎
Do you know how to remove the rear stainless steel trim on the leading of the rear edge of fins on the top ?
275 hp? 😂 I had a four-cylinder with 300 hp and 340 pounds of torque in 2003
Different strokes 4 different folks. Not everyone likes the sound of a 4 Cylinder engine. Not everyone buys a car with the idea to keep it all original, stock OEM. Some guys pay to own it, others build it to own it. Not a lot of FAMILY SEDAN vehicles came with 275 HP V8 in 2005. So what did you have? Not a lot of 300 HP 4 Cylinder engines in 2005 either. Only one I can think of are those WRX Subaru's... so is that what you had? If so.... kinda dumb comparing your AWD shitbox that cost the same as a Corvette back then to a FWD Family Sedan vehicle class, isn't it? That Bonneville GXP cost half the price and was definitely a more comfortable ride. Those WRXs came stock with 300HP.... and if that's what you say yours had then you must not be into building a car up to make it your own, which is fine... I'm just shocked after all these years, I come across another WRX driver and the arrogance that usually comes with the type of guys that buy that car is still very much alive & well. Something to think about... I had an 2002 Grand Prix GTP Coupe that would beat those WRXs off the jump at a red light in traffic and 1/4 mile strip back in 2005-07. Not on the track though, unless the driver was an idiot. But my 1996 MR-2 would spank the shit out of those WRXs... all day long, every MF day. My 05 AWD Trailblazer SS even won sometimes against those bug eyed retro Ford Pinto lookin ass shyt boxes 😂 made good money off from the arrogance of a Subaru driver. I do respect those cars but I just don't like them. Anyway, hey... my apologies if I got you all wrong. Just trash talking a fellow driver. And I just bought an 05 Bonneville GXP for a new project to fix up and sell. It's just the way you said it... sounded a bit douchey. Like I said, different strokes. I'm probably in the wrong with this long ass comment 😂 but I'm stoned 2 the bone and don't give a fck. I wish all the best sir. If you still have that 4 banger and you're in Michigan, lmk if you want 2 lose some 💰 I got an entire fleet of all kinds of shyt 2 race that Subaru. I got an 88 Ford Probe GT with the engine & trans out of a 2016 Focus RS and $3K and an 8BALL says I'll lap your ass in that WRX 😂
@@youknowit888-kt4en So what's up bro? If I come up to Michigan are we gonna meet up so I can drive that Probe? It's been years since I've had a fast sh!t box, but they are so much fun. Your collection sounds like a hoot to play around with bro. I only have an S197 GT/CS and a 4th gen LT4 Z28, so I really have nothing fun to offer in return though 😅
Wasn't a Northstar in the Pontiac it was a all aluminum 5.3 ls making 300+hp
That was the Grand Prix GXP that had the LS in it. Bonneville had the NorthStar.
Northstar was a trash motor. The supercharged 3800 series (Buick 3.8) was way better in the Bonneville. Plenty of power and got great MPG if you kept your foot out of it.
@@G8GTJav I would love to drive a Bonneville SSEi someday with the supercharged 3800!
NorthStar was solid. In fact a lot of people copied its General design and use it today and racing trim the North Star Motor proved to be quite successful. That being said the 3800 was a far more reliable motor than just about anything. And yes was a supercharger or turbocharger Karma and still proved to be reliable. Even more interesting around this timeline you can buy the Grand Prix GXP, that had the ls 5.3 which was more powerful than the North Star and far more reliable . I like to the Bonneville but I found the last Model Aurora to be a better car than the last Bonneville.
@ashes2ashes863 I agree with you about the Buick 3.8. Had a GN and a Bonneville SSEI back in the day. Both were great cars and put a lot of miles on each. However, Northstar motors had major issues, at least early on. It was GM's first attempt at casting the aluminum block around the sleeves, and the cylinders would warp. Had a DTS with Northstar, and it was an absolute turd that drank oil like crazy. The dealership kept saying it was within "GM spec." Pricks. Had to get an extended warranty while we kept fighting them to get a replacement motor. When a GM engineer finally showed up to do a teardown, he showed me the bores were severely warped/ out of round. There were areas where you could see the rings had never made contact with the cross-hatching on the cylinder walls. No wonder it drank oil. Replaced the short block but always felt underpowered afterward. Put about 75K on the motor before it developed a rod knock. I've been a GM guy all my life and never had problems like with that Northstar. By the way, when I visited the dealership service center, multiple times, there were several Caddies in the back and in the shop that had their Northstars pulled. That was enough proof for me. This was in the early 2000s.
@@G8GTJav I worked at a Ford Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership back when the Northstar cars were falling out of warranty. We weren't even a GM dealership and we did our fair share of Northstar head gaskets 😅
You literally have to get almost a stage 3 kit to keep up with a Northstar 😂
A decent ride
I was in a custom shop one day when a guy brought his base model Dodge Stratus of this year into the shop and proceeded to ask for a eclipse body kit he assumed that since it was built on an eclipse frame or whatever that he could just put a Clips body parts on it and was crushed to find out he had wasted a ton of money
Oof. Kinda funny, but also feel kinda bad for him. Live and learn!
You know that you could do that to the chrysler sebring that its the same platform.i have the 3.1 v6 with the front bumper of the eclipse and looks good plus the turbo make it a little fast
The Lamborghini aspect was turning a iron block v10 in an aluminum one
I almost got an 09’ bullitt when I got my 08’ but I didn’t know any better. Wish I did get it
390
@stevemay6613 Ah dammit, you're right. My mistake there.
This gen of the bullit was junk. Sorry. Movie version cool. Last gen built at the rouge complex junk. Thanks
Yeah the movie version looks better
Gonna have to figure out some mic and audio mixing, sounds awful.
Had 3 total - 1990 Xcab 5 spd 4X4 moved state for a 2WD 5spd long bed dual tanks than bought a 1983 4x4 5spd and still have it for over 20 years
Bora 4motion sedan or wagon❤
Ugly
It's a Ferrari 365
Yes. A very well kept (or restored, I didn't ask) one at that. A 365 GT 2+2 specifically.
Awesome
