que times for dungeons 1-60 are actually 15-45min long and pvp ques are non existent. if u do get in its 45-1 hr 45min+

I just started playing again after a 10 year break. I noticed what you are saying how my character is getting weaker the higher I level. I could go through mobs in just a couple seconds in my level 10sih stages. Now I'm level 35 and it's taking me longer to kill mobs I encounter, and I have more abilities to attack with. I first played WoW when it was first released. I LOVED the game then. Now I started a new account, and it's so confusing with professions. I like the game now, but just not in love with it anymore. I'm sure me changing is a big part of that, but the game makes leveling not as fun as it once was. I love getting a mount at 20 instead of 40, and being able to fly is a great addition. I'm from the walk until level 40 days and those were tough. I'm still playing after a couple weeks, but the higher level I get, the less I play. Thanks for the guide. I wish I had found it before I started playing again.

I honestly prefer to „get weaker“. Although I wouldn‘t even call it that. If you always just twoshot everything, what‘s the point of combat? Why do I have CCs, CDs, a complex rotation, if one button does it equally well? Not trying to be a dick, but I‘m really glad this isn‘t the way you want it lol. If anything the average open world encounter is already braindead easy.

Go do some classic, the real one where the cap is 60 and old school wow...thats rewarding and hardcore, a time where you had to think about agro and could die easily, retail today is just so boring and easy mode compared IMO :)

I'm kinda iffy on Battle For Azeroth. I've only played part of the Horde's side, so forgive me for missing all of the Alliance stuff. I absolutely adored the Zandalari questline, it kept me playing for a really long time. Every day I'd log on and keep playing. ...Sadly the Vulpera part isn't as interesting. For some reason I lost interest once I stopped doing quests in Zuldazar (I apologize if I'm spelling that wrong) which really sucks imo because I no longer have the motivation to finish Battle For Azeroth and unlock the rest of the races. I'm hoping that I'm nearly done with the Vulpera and that the... whatever comes after are more enjoyable. Honestly, I think I'd pay extra for the ability to skip quests but still get the rewards- I'm sorry but some of them are just exhausting. Also I really miss Princess Talanji and Bwonsamdi :( They're my favorite characters in the entire game- Maybe that's why I don't play wow too often- cause the characters just aren't interesting enough to keep me engaged unless I'm committing to one of the big campaigns. One thing I really like about WoW though, is that I don't have to be good at combat to play :) I'm terrible at things like aim and strategizing, I like that you can get through most of WoW by just pressing the number keys in combat.

I love the roleplaying game that will start you out as a ragtag hobo and not even 2 minutes after completing the quest you are now champion of the galaxy and annihilator of worlds when not even 2 minutes ago you were collecting 10 boar asses for the local butcher and all these powerful people from over 10 real life years ago talk to you like you’re best buds

Being someone who also quit some time ago (though a lot less than 8 years), I have also taken up Dragonflight, at least for a few months when it was fresh. Got bored after a while, but I can't speak ill of the expansion, it felt kind of nice, I liked it. Difference from you is I always find it more fun leveling in Warlords of Draenor. While that expansion always felt somewhat off, I really loved the questing in it as well as those little secret items you'd get on the map that give you XP, plus I feel it's the fastest of the expansions for some reason... or perhaps I know exactly where everything is and what to do since I've done it so many times. And I also enjoy the world being completely deserted when I level. :)

I think on the tutorial the game should Automatically Open the menu and drag the spells into the Hotbar or automatically make them appear in the hotbar until it's full like would moves in pokemon. 7:05 Honestly, If the game starts to drag, I would Either create a new character and see what's the 'meta' or just Stop playing. 8:05 In my understanding, Difficulty should mean that the game gets more complex instead of more harder. Since there are more options and relatively fewer answers, It makes it harder. But seems like WOW decides to throw everything on the first hour of the game. 8:32 You have to track Item levels!?.... does the game remark this on the tutorial at any point? (though I think its too much stuff to keep track off) (From the 10 minutes of gameplay I had, some other videos and this) I think this game is only for people who have no life. (not even masochism) OR Is a game to play while you do other stuff, having macros and some bots to grind the game supervised on a second monitor while you are doing something else.... but if that's the appeal, with the story the game has... why to have that content at all? Is it because it's been dragging mechanics since it's conception? I think I would search a way to have a custom server with my rules (though after all I enjoy modding games, I enjoy games to have fun... you know... what they are supposed to do.)

I started few days ago and gone BFA road and really enjoyed it so far, im 43lvl now and all I see is people complaining how bad is it, was it really so good on other expansions? I guess I will try and make a different class your way and see for myself

I tried it and it honestly felt utterly horrible. I do think they have finally done some thing better, but overall it still mechanically feels off. I am a firm believer that flying mounts have done more damage to the game than any other addition, and yet they seem to have doubled down on that. Also, being able to fight 10x mobs with no real danger, as per you video, feels really bad to me. In contrast I went and tried Classic Era was was absolutely hooked.

I subbed for the video idea, but yeah I think after cataclysm the leveling got too easy. You either boost a character to 60 and get overwhelmed by all the abilities and talents, or you level a character which is too easy and doesn't feel rewarding because of the level scaling, lack of exploring the world, and getting new better gear with every quest. There is no challenge until end game. Pvp is currently ruined and pve is all about min maxing rather than clearing content your own unique and fun way. Classic plus is the only fix and making excuses for retail is what is stopping the game from being any good anymore

Legitimately don't think Blizzard will touch levelling until after The Last Titan, but this is a very good and well put together guide for new players in the meantime.

the only way i can see anyone getting into wow is through classic. retail is wholly inaccessible to a new player. the pace at which youre thrown into the endgame in retail is tailored to the veteran player whos played every class before, and punishes the beginner who is overwhelmed with a full toolbar at level 10

Game has been in decline since the WoW token and personally, I don't see why I should play on blizz servers when private servers are offering me a way better experience and more feelings of an actual community than blizz servers.

NOTE: because they gimped the artifact weapons at the end of legion, it isnt pleasant to level in unless you have heirloom weapons because they dont scale well enough, and none of the content drops weapons because why would they when you have the epic magical mcguffin of awesomeness.

As of 05/2024 I have returned to after a 14 year break, and I was so confused, I wasn't sure what WOW to DL, Classic, Discovery, 3 day early pass into war within like WTH is that!!?? No explanation real, not one I liked , not enough to help direct me. So then I recover my 7 95ers, who are al 30, or 35....I forget, then the guild I ran I trusted to another, he returned the crown back 5 years ago and demoted his toon not sure why, log says he just did it 1 hour ago, but the guild members lost shows he hasn't been on in 5 years so I don't know, maybe because the game was still loaded, if I still can't get in to my own Guild vault I'll open a ticket but I've heard that's bad now, used to be able to open a ticket and say exactly what the issue was and you'd get a response in a few to an or maybe a day, but it was simple, like the time I was stuck on a gryphon I flew back and forth between IF and SW, lol yeah was on that bird for about a day I'd log out and in and same thing. Finally a GM (Game Master) helped me out of it. But I am back and I know my way around, but it's really is like coming out of a coma I forget how to do anything or what my pally spell do .. Thinking like here too, be great to practice by making a new toon. I'm originally from vanilla days, I strongly believe, they should have Stopped at WotLK and then add the other stories through instances, say magic rocks land and bleed out an instance into a multiverse. I really enjoyed questing, and Dgns until they got so stupid hard we had to watch TH-cam videos to study them like do ya know the mechanics of this Dgn bra? Na...na....no...GET OUT! LOL I was so glad when they came up with my wish which was one button Dgn group finder I was so happy no more sitting around the outside waiting for folks to walk up, Anyway, Cheers all!❤ And thanks for the video.

I quit playing regularly back in 2012 at the end of Cata. I have no idea wtf a key or mythic+ is. I used to do pick up raids as a Assassination Rogue back in the day, so thats my idea of end game content, mostly on normal difficulty. That said, I've levelled some random characters well under max level at the end of Draenor and Battle for Azeroth, so I've experienced the level squish which feels nice but also like everything is too samey. On a random warlock I made 2 hours ago I literally just randomly wandered into the Wetlands because they gave me the quest for "moving on" right as I got to Loch Modan and it's hard to ignore that waypoint marker thing. Once I get through all this samey levelling, since I dare not touch my main not knowing wtf is going on anymore, what should I do??

I'm a new player and I followed your method after leveling a character the way blizzard told me to, the experience was much better. thank you. I'm actually enjoying the game a lot. It's confusing and the systems are overwhelming but I think I'm getting it..

Bliz did have a really good solution to players having outrun their gear in Pandaria -- Adventurer Gear Vendors. NPCs who sold 'greens' with the appropriate level to where you were at. All Bliz has to do is sprinkle these around, or at least in the capitol cities, with gear of the 'use: generate a piece of gear appropriate to your specialization and level' type.

Update notes need to be added to vids a year old or more. Flying is now free, and automatic. You now go from slow 'flaaaap...flaaaaap' (when you first get flying) to FLAP! FLAP! FLAP! at level 40, automatically, without having to pay a big chunk of gold anymore.

Not just you; evokers *are* squishy. My feral druid stays up much better -- spend 5 combo points and get a free, *instant* heal, no cooldown. Evokers have one or two quick heals, neither of which is really enough for a difficult fight, which is likely to be at melee range. I think Evokers are supposed to use the two tail moves and Avalanche to keep from being melee'd too much, but the knockback would need to have a longer stun to really help. Having one of your main heal spells being the same as your filler attack spell is really awkward if you really need a few heals, and your big ones are on cooldown, as they often are. Evokers need armor boosts like warlocks have, plus 40 yd range like everyone else, and either better heals, or a more persistant shield spell. My guess as to why so weak is to give players who complain "everything is too easy!!" a class to play that definitely is NOT.

It is extra-stupid to NOT have a melee class that can use polearms, considering that one of the intro semi-cinematics shows an entire ARMY of dracthyr equipped with polearms.

Personally, I've found that Mage is one of the hardest classes to play -- no heal spells, shield has too long of a cooldown, and the dps is never enough to make up for being so squishy. Perhaps a better test would have been a balance or feral druid? I agree about the wrong loot dropping -- did the proper loot spec somehow not get set? I've never had boss loot of wrong type drop, although with area looting, if unlooted npcs are in range, it can look like the boss dropped the off-class items.

bro i hadnt played since high school almost 20 years ago. i jumped in, got to lvl 60, a chunk of which was playing pokemon, and i still dont feel like im strong, i dont feel like i know whats going on or why, i dont know much of any story outside of zandalar since thats where the game put my undead warlock for some reason. i didnt even know that that race had to be unlocked at lvl 40, which that in and of itself is completely stupid, im not wasting an hour or 2 to unlock a character i want to use, just to spend a week re-grinding and not knowing shit on that character either... like it told me to see this time person, they asked if i wanted to be the best shawman after i unlocked the zanda troll, lvl10, so yeah lets 'do it how the game wants me to', since the undead warlock i had started in zandalar and not the undead place (i dont know or care why), so it puts me in legion's timeline, and now i have this thunder hammer thing that requires artifacts that i have no idea of what they are, how they do what to my weapon, what the purpose is if it says the legacy items are disabled, like am i completely wasting my time here, because it feels like it. throwing the player from questline to questline like it keeps doing is absolutely stupid in my opinion. I want to keep up with what im doing where im at and stay on that. one guy leads down a rabbit hole of quests, next thing i know i have to scour the net to find a way back to start, and literally cant find a way, just to continue some ancient quest i dont even give a damn about. Some games/rpgs/mmos give you some kind of tutorial info other than up is up down is down attack is attack now go play. warlock account feels like im slinging wet paper balls at my enemies, no idea why. my gear is as high as i can get it to my knowledge, but i dont know how to go beyond where im at, so i cant progress further. all the jobs like fishing cooking blacksmithing i have no idea which is most benificial, like why do i need to cook if i can constantly restore hp, i need tailoring to do cloth armor right but what else and why and how do i make them work? there's no diffinitive guide as far as i know that can just tell or show you step by step. most if not all of what ive seen is simply 'ok so you want this, this is what you need' but its like after youve played for a couple years, seen some expansions and know most of the things. im tired of banging my head against a wall to enjoy paid content. i didnt spend any money to boost, just grinded, trying to get the best looking/feeling warlock i could, but that 192 item level cap or whatever it is, locked behind an expansion purchase to expand that level, nah im good.

Thanks so much for this video. I started playing WoW back in 2008 and was on/off for a while before quitting in 2011. I logged back in for most expansions only to hit max level then quit. And then the last two expansions or so, I just ignored. But the game stays in my heart. The music is nostalgic and I remember good times...so I decided to come back but was intimidated by how much I'd missed and how much had changed. Thanks for laying some things out for old players looking to return.

I didn't know the bags gave you gear *at* the level it was opened. I don't know about Cata, TBC, or MOP, but with the WotLK dungeon finder it says searching is taking a while and asks if you wanna search beyond your timeline. So what I've been doing is getting the start of SL, go back to the main city after getting the portals, then changing time to WotLK and sticking with dungeons and questing. It helps a bit, and I find it fun. Thanks for the video, I'll keep it in mind when I level my next alt in a search to find a main lol

People will give hate on me, but WoW it's easy and too casual, but that's on good and the best. So far the only mistake of Blizzard in WoW is indeed the freaked leveling system and the fact that they will increase the level cap again, while what they should do is offer the future new expansion content to be played from levels 50 to 60 instead of increasing level cap.

Besides having bad guide, the game has terrible ui and keeps spamming you with trash info. No one would see a raid, dungeon or pvp video, looking at the swarm of ui elements, text and numbers, and thinks: oh, this looks fun, I want to play this. Can't Blizzard afford hiring or consulting a propper interaction designer?
