What you've shared is one interpretation of a slash chord. It can also mean that you should play an inverted chord. So, G/D (or, G over D) can also mean to play the second inversion of the G Major chord. Rather than playing G B D, the pianist would play D G B.

Thanks, Ryan! I stopped in the middle and tried it out. Worked great! It looks like the right hand is keeping a steady rhythm and when the left hand notes are played, they are played at the same time as the right hand notes. I notice that in the first verse, the C on It's in the second line and the C on Let in the fourth line hit just before the word in order to keep time with the right hand. So, is it better to stay with the right hand even if it means not hitting the left hand note exactly where the chord chart indicates?

Thanks for sharing and simplifying how you you can play any praise and worship songs by chords the easy way. The Left hand plays the bass note [R] movements of the chord progression and the right hand plays the key signature of the song [ E.g. key G - G Am Bm C D Em - LH plays [Root] only G A B C D E while the RH plays Key G power Chord G D [R + 5 ] through out the whole songs. Definitely very easy for a beginner learning to sing and play piano or keyboard for the first time.
