It's a bit difficult when one can't see which way the strap is going because you don't show it to the camera and then cover the entire band with your hands.

Fucking MSI man. Ive got the same shit on my MSI Optix MPG321QRF-QD. First one had a stuck pixel out of the box. Replacement developed a stuck pixel a year later. Goddamn.

Is that 1 x 120x20x0.5mm, 1 x 120x20x1.0mm, 1 x 120x20x1.5mm, 2 x 85x45x2.0mm, and 2 x 85x45x3.0mm that you ordered? Also, you mentioned you used 0.5 and 3.0 on the backplate for 3.5, where did you use the 1.0 on? Saw someone on reddit use 1.0 for the VRMs. Is that where you used it on?

Just a little tip for MSI cards, you can peel off the sticker with tweezers since the sticker is bigger (6mm) than the actual screw. :)

My motherboard is msi B460m mortar wifi. Asus software won't let me control the fans. The fan controller is not visible. What is the solution? thanks

Great video! In the process of replacing my pads now and I’m very thankful for your detailed shots and measurements! Figured I’d throw this out there for anyone spending FAR too much time trying to clean the leftover pad residue from between the heat sink fins. After removing the old pad, wet down a q-tip in some Goof Off/Goo Gone/other adhesive solvent. Push/roll the q-tip down the length of the fin and the leftover material should let go and come off in a single piece vs. having to scrape and clean small chunks at a time. I found isopropyl alcohol didn’t do a good job as a first step if there was leftover pad still left on the surface. Definitely use alcohol as a last cleaning step to remove the Goof Off though.

You should have clearly mentioned that the originals for 35 Euros are clearly better then the China copy . These copies changed the sound signature... who can afford to buy one of these Headsets also got the 15-20 Euros extra to get the original replacement... just my thought - otherwise helpful video...

I just bought the Dell S2721DGFA and im returning it for the second time for the same issue, except i have 10+ stuck pixels. They started showing up after one day of use in both. Its so discouraging getting any new monitors now after this ordeal, it really shouldnt be so prevalent.

Bro i hate manufacturer's this days. Why you cant add few extra dollars when pricing your product and put good thermal pads and paste , so user dont have to? When all the components are extra class you shitters cant use cheap and normal thermal pads is breaking my mind

What is the thickness of the thermal pads on the memory? In the video you measured them to be 2mm but on the package ( the gelid one) was written 1.5mm. What should I get for mine?

Hey man, very nice how-to was very thankfull to see how easy it is. But would it be possible to tell me the exact amount of cooling pads you had used and which type? I tried to figure it out by myself by calculating the size of the areas, but I think I made a mistake, because the amount seems to be huge!

i have same card and I've seen some people say u can use a 3mm on this,i bought only 3mm because some people said 3mm also it's good and i close the backplate with only 3mm the it had huge space between pad and the pcb ,and i added 0.05 that i had left from other cards and you CANNOT use 3mm at all barely touches the top of the smd's like 0.01~0.02 don't even try to use the card with 3mm ,used grizzly but the material its too hard for it to go in between the smd's so its doesn't touch the surface well, i pressed it a bit but didn't do much difference, it's a bit more stable i managed to raise the clocks at 1000+ mhz from 850, before it would had crashed if i had tried to put it at 1000mhz+ the temperature fell like 4-6 degrees, couldn't find 3.5mm anywhere changed the pads only on back of the vram, not on the sides also, because i didn't had enough 0.5mm. Changed my pads, sold as 17w and 20w ,was some cheap chewing gum. left side on cooler the pad was 1mm and the next was 2mm, weird enough. and the last one one the right side 1mm in this video all 1.5 mm or 2mm

electronics spray removes way more way better. and you dont have to risk snagging anything on any of the chips. you should try it. wd40 contact cleaner or crc electronics cleaner. I have both and they both work fine. you just need to let the card sit in a open area overnight so it all evaporates and you end up with a pcb that looks like it just rolled out of the factory....Perfection.

you should have used electronics spray cleaner and got a much better result without any fibers, much cleaner

I just want to stop by your video and say Good Job for using that tracing paper to map out your graphics card! That's exactly how I changed the thermal pads on my Xbox and installed a new SSD into it! Bravo!
