Hi There! I'm Lizzie Brooks (E-RYT) and I've been teaching yoga and movement since 2000. I teach seriously good workouts that aren't TOO serious.
Each class is equal parts muscle and mindful. Movement is accessible, fun, and effective. Some classes are only yoga, while some integrate weights (weights optional). I also teach high-intensity interval training and yoga fusions. I provide multiple styles, topics, levels of challenge, and lengths of practice because the body and mind respond well to variety.
My classes might also include flaws, silliness, depth, acceptance, and a few bad jokes. You can find my yoga and wellness-related articles on Yoga International. I write for adults and kids!

This is an old full body Joovv. I bought it maybe 10 years ago? I'm sure the technology is even better now.

Those decorative sticks, the abstract watercolor, phrases like "find your alignmennt", "direct your gaze", etc.. THAT is what we hate about yoga. The weird, ostentatious pretense. The shade-throwing. The humblebragging about your 20 years of experience. That vibe. Becky.

Thank you so much for this. I've been struggling to do this pose. Every illustration shows everyone so low to the ground.
I'm so happy this was helpful. Yes, there needs to be A LOT more information out there about this pose as so many people hurt themselves trying to recreate what they've been taught/shown. This is an ADVANCED pose even though people often treat it as basic. The health of our bodies/joints is much more important than any pose will ever be.
Such a great visual demonstration and explaination, thank you! Any tips for people who are on the larger side, especially in the lower abdomen?
Glad it was helpful! I rec the use of a wall to start the push up movement. The further away from the wall you take your feet, the harder it becomes. You can also do on the floor with stable blocks under your hands.
