Hi Coach Lizzie! Is this also for men? I am man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I only managed with soda cans as weights but could not even last 2 sets of bicep curls when my arms completely gave up and I stopped😟 My MIL did 4 sets of bicep curls using pairs of 20 lb and 25 lb dumbbells! Her biceps bulge like yours and are rock hard! I feel really low and defeated.
Oh no! I don't want you to feel that way. PLEASE listen to your body and start WHERE YOU ARE. We all start somewhere. When I began, I was using very low weight and fewer reps. We have to build the strength over time--not expect it to be there already. Baby steps and consistency count. And you don't have to do EVERY day to be consistent. You can do every other day/three times a week/etc. If you have a wider shoulders, doing the one weight move might not be the best. You can also stand against a wall to gain more stability while you work on your arm strength. Please know that even the strongest people you see, started off feeling weak. Only the folks who stick with it and listen to their bodies improve. :)
@@Lizzie.Brooks Thank you for your encouragement, Coach Lizzie! I will try this lesson again in a few days! My MIL told me to try it again but without any soda cans at all to see how many bicep curls I can do with just making a fist and then see how it goes from there! Your bulging biceps are really arm goals for me if it is possible!? I tried an armwrestle test against my MIL's arm but I could not even move her arm even when I used both my arms together against her one arm 😟 I did feel really low.
@@rupinjeremiah9589 Your mother-in-law sounds really strong! You will get there. The body adapts when we put it under stress (good stress--like exercise). That's all it is---safely stressing the body physically so that it adapts to the pressure. Again--gently and over time.I agree to just start with the arm movements!
@@Lizzie.Brooks Thank you, Coach Lizzie! My MIL told me to follow along her warm-up part which she told will be very intense and exhausting for me but it will be something I need to be able to get through before I can start the soda cans exercises! After warm-up my MIL does the heavy arm dumbbells for 30-40 minutes but she said I shouldn't do that at all yet. She told that bulging biceps will take a long time to achieve.
I’ll take any tips you offer - you look like an absolute goddess! ❤
Oh goodness! That's really sweet of you to say!
Lots of ideas here. Thanks so much😂
You’re welcome 😊

@@rupinjeremiah9589 Yes, please take your time as these things don't happen quickly but they do happen with consistent effort! :)
