Cold start and revs with freshly installed Milltek Non-Resonated Cat-Back Exhaust system (SSXAU482). Still using the stock downpipe at this point, and the only other modification is a CAI: aFe Power Magnum FORCE Stage 2 (54-13050R). The CAI gives a nice little bit of growl under acceleration, but is otherwise unobtrusive and unnoticeable.

      No, it's the Termignoni Full Exhaust system designed for the Monster 1100S, they're just Cerakoted.

    what would be the difference between the steel plate and the brass plate? is it only weight wise? because i know they’re both pretty stiff

      Having typed on the PC plate for about a month now, I can definitely say that I prefer it to the steel plate. Much softer typing experience, and sound-wise there's much less of a "ping" or "twang" with each keystroke. An added benefit is that the RBG lighting is much more visible now since my transparent top housing Boba U4Ts transmit some of the lighting to the plate.

      @@PixelatedFancyLads yay tactile gang!! Mine is the black knob-less version (I thought it looks more traditional without the knob 😂 I am old school). So far I love both boba u4t and coffee chip ice cream switches. Still wonder if I should put coffee chip or maybe try the Anubis switch for ultimate thock. Is there any other tactile switch that you love? PS: in case you haven't tried...force break mod and polyfill are both nice mods you can try to take the keyboard sound to next level.

      I just ordered the PC plate to test against the stock alu plate. Gonna try force break (already done it), tape modding + polyfill (or goka foam that I ordered) as well as some stick on PE foam pads for switches to see how mine turns out. Got the knob one because I like the functionality of changing volume with it haha 😂

      @@im_Spade_ I believe the stick plate is steel, that's why. Ordered PC plate for a softer feel. If it were aluminum I might consider saving $15 and just use as is. Hope to hear your result/opinion. PS: I didn't get knob for this only because it's so small compared to the huge board...almost look like a nipple to me :) , but the functionality is definitely nice. Alternatively you can also change volume by pressing Fn+ "+" and "-" .

      @@IronCan88 stock plate is steel? Wouldn't that be more expensive than aluminum? Not to mention it looks like you can't buy a steel plate for the Q6 on keychron's site so seems kinda suspicious 🤔 Maybe you're right. With QMK/VIA I'm sure it'll be super easy to change volume. Guess the knob does look like a little nipple 🤣 We'll see how the PC plate goes whenever it comes in haha

    Hmmm... I'm thinking about purchasing the catback Milltek exhaust but tbh, I'm not that impressed with the sound. Certainly more than stock but just a tad under from the sound that I want. I live in California and do not want the hassle from emissions downpiping my car to get a louder sound, so this will have to do.

      Yeah, short of going straight pipe back from the stock downpipe, you don't really have a lot of options while meeting emissions regulations. But this sounds infinitely better than straight pipe, even if it's a little bit quieter than most aftermarket systems.

      @@PixelatedFancyLads Just installed mines today. Definitely better than stock and I like the added deeper tone. The only thing I dislike is how lighter it is and now my ride height has raised a bit lol. One other minor thing is I think I lost a bit of low end torque, despite Milltek saying you wouldn't lose any. I'm getting a stage 1 tune in a couple of weeks, so really not an issue.

    Hi there, Is there any possibility to show clip how it sounds from the inside during casual/more dynamic driving? I've been told I'd be very dissapointed with Miltek becasue it sounds like stock. Honestly can't find any clip with non res and stock downpipe.

      I can probably try to shoot a video, but I'll tell you that what you heard is correct: it's very quiet on the inside. They're pretty well-insulated cars in terms of blocking out the exhaust, so it's pretty dang quiet on the inside. You can definitely hear it more than stock, though, and the tone is much better. Stock was wheezy and breathy sounding, and this setup definitely has more grunt and snarl to it. But it's definitely not loud. From the outside, it sounds great. Nice and mean, without being overly aggressive or drone-y. It's really night and day compared to how calm it sounds on the inside. You do get some DSG farts. They're subtle, but you can definitely hear them on the inside. Hope that helps!

      Well I'm just confused becasue some people say non-res was too loud and they swapped for res one. Some say both are quiet. You know I'm not 18yo honda fanboy, don't need to drag attention of whole city. Very good review from your side. I was thinking about Borla but Borla seems to be too noisy for me. Thank you for the review. Looking forward to get it clipped - tons of S3 vids there but little to none with A3. How would you compare it to S3? I find S3 stock perfect loudness for me (according to vids). Best Regards my friend!

      @@huarez3310 It's pretty similar to the stock S3 in terms of loudness, but it's a little raspier. In a good way, I'd say. Like, you can hear more of the exhaust pulses, where on the S3 it's a little smoother, bassier, but more subdued overall. The Milltek sounds less choked, if that makes sense.

    Did you need any adapters, or additional piping for this catback? I saw a video of someone with an APR downpipe needed a 5-6 inch extension for their downpipe to catback. I have the IE downpipe like you, and I want to buy the same catback but want to make sure I have all the parts I need

    These cars sound better with a catback. With a dp they are so raspy. Bizarre as my Gti stage 2 with same engine sounded much better.

      The camera mic doesn't do it justice - it's a much deeper, fuller, louder sound with the high-flow cat. There's still some added raspiness, but it sounds way more harsh in the video than it does in person.

      @@ShereefYT Definitely deeper, but there is a marked increase in raspiness as well. I think my mic just picked up more of the throatiness than the rumble.

      Through the camera, no, it really doesn't sound too bad. In person, though, it was very airy and weak sounding; completely silent inside, as well.

    Thanks bro I have all IE parts and stage 2 tuned but went straight pipe and was obnoxious and drones bad but pops like a ak47 so I out the stock resonator back on and it helped but now just getting either the miltek non resonator or a billy boat.

      It's excellent. Takes a little finagling to get it mated to the turbo, but it's all pretty straightforward and there are no issues with fit to speak of.

      Stephen Stefanski Pretty intense around the 2500-3000 RPM range. It's a deep, booming, resonating drone.

      That's normal! That's just the sound of the injectors - direct injections engines are notorious for their sewing machine sound.
