She seems like a fun character. I'll be picking her up as well. Don't think she'll be my new main but I'll try her out for sure. Looks like you were right about the buff after the L1. She gets five flame stocks that enhance some of her moves. Very cool!
10:57 a normal DP won't be stuffed by hazanshu because they're all air-invincible on frame 1 (all AA move that are are non-conventional AAs, like bison's psycho crusher, honda headbutt, marisa's dima or gief's lariat which are all only air invincible on the 5th frame onward if memory serves), it's considered airborn and can be anti-aired without spending bar, that and assuming mai's 5MK is -3 and her DP 5f like all the others she would get stuffed by anything below 8 frames however L hazanshu is 23 frames of startup so mai would just win regardless of interactions and move properties here
Ah so A.K.I.'s QCF HP is an Unconventional AA like the aforementioned examples which is what I was basing my assessment on. I considered them all DPs because to me they serve the same purpose but my understanding of how they work was wrong. There is an important different between a DP and a AA special move that makes a big difference. Got it. As for Mai's 5MK, yes I expect it'll be like Bison's or Terry's until she comes out and it can be confirmed yes or no. The only alternative is that it's better because it doesn't look worse but once again who knows until she actually releases.
Jump less. Anti-air more. Stop backing off once you get them in the corner. Learn a better punish than 3xJabs->special
13:02 - nice pressure! 11:34 -- counter DI can drop on netcode at times, but you can check via replay if you were still in recovery or not by just mashing DI after replay takeover. i don't know aki's frame data.
You recognize that you're getting DI'd on your Serpent Lash, so you can see that it's not entirely random.
Drive reversal is - 6. You can punish with standing MP or standing LK. You used crouching MP(8) and standing HK earlier(9). You have a nice punish combo with standing MP, DR, st. mk, st.HK, heel strike... Most of the buttons, moves you use are too slow to be used up close; So they just throw DI, left and right to catch you.
Ok. I will work on that.
You have got to stop autopiloting pressure and actually react to what your opponent does. That's your biggest flaw right now. Your flowcharting so many things and not actually responding to what is happening in the game.

I know exactly what you're talking about when you point it out. Ummm, that's a habit from decades of other games and my way of thinking. I even pointed it out in one of my earlier SF 6 vids and I think I was talking to Rock about it. I like concrete solutions. This is a solution to that and that solution is always that solution no changes. In fighting games that's rarely the case, postion changes the answer, Mechanics change the answer, on top of that my situational awareness is also a big weak point for me I've noticed. That's a much bigger problem for me to actually break though because it's the way my mind approaches problems. -sighs-
@@tsukinodeoblivion6485 - Imo, you are ready for drills to help you expand your situational awareness and learn to trust in your reactions. Muscle memory gets us out of the beginner stages, but then can get us locked in intermediate stages. Drills helped me finally break through this. You just gotta want it.

Usually off the QCF HP there are enough frames to come out of heel kick to be plus. I forget the exact amount. Though It looks like my Standing LP whiffed so I must have messed up the timing.

7:38. If I remember correctly, cruel fate is -3 there. You can't do crouch LP(4). There is one combo you can do that is simple. There is one move you need to change in the combo you are already doing. When you get a punish counter with standing HK, you do sinister slide, heel strike and sometimes venemous fang... Try cruel fate instead. You're close to diamond.
Thank as always for the advice. XD And yes I've been seeing the legend and master A.K.I.s going into cruel fate after punish counter. I'm trying to build the muscle memory because whenever I see the punish counter currently I'm defaulting to Torpedo.
@@tsukinodeoblivion6485 What really works is to play with only that in mind. That's how I learned the big combo into level 3 in the corner. I learned it in training mode and went straight to rank or casual to just do that.
19:22 go for this one a lot to beat fireballs. 19:44 don't just send it like this, though. Do 2PP when you think they might throw a fireball, then P *only* when they actually start to throw one.
2:41 drive reversal this, you dont have to take it. Also, stay crouched vs Akuma, more so if they spam st HK. Nice comeback before that btw

You were already playing slow vs the Ed. That actually helps whenever you try to take mental notes of their playstyle. The Ed for example, always grabbed after hitting the target combo, blocked every drive rush attempt and DI when you were kinda close.

You blocked a DI and not a drive reversal. That’s why you didn’t get pushed back. It’s -6 on block by the way.
6:42 there were more holes in his blockstring than swiss cheese, basically nothing he did aside from the first 5HK was + you could have taken your turn back pretty much anytime

All you had to do was wait for Cammy to DI and crush her. You tried to play her game instead of just punishing her for playing that way.
This, plat is full of these individuals. The cammy was mashing DI anytime you confirmed. These are the types of pattern you must do your best to recognize in the first set
Cammy target combo isn’t safe. It is why she is canceling into DI after it.
People jab out of your jump ins because walking forward takes frames and you delay buttons on landing when you don’t grab.

@@luisboIV I don't really have an answer for this. There are times my muscle memory and what I want to do conflict or it it's how my thumb slides over the pad. Trying to mitigate it as much as I can through practice.

8:50 yeah annoyingly enough air-invincible moves are only invulnerable to air STRIKES (both sim's and akuma's air FB are coded as special strikes), so air grabs that grab grounded targets like Kim's or cammy's just bypass them
ngl it feels more like the frames played more into Kimberlys favor there since the active frames of the A K I anti air didnt even start. Looked more like it was still in the start up frames hence why it grabbed before the active frames even started. Cant say though since i dont play A K I. I only play ED and the DP from ED just works fine 100% of the time. Btw what i also wanted to say is i feel like the easiest way for you to level up to diamond is learning actual higher damage punish combos. Since as example in the kimberly match in the very first match you punished her missed DP with LPLP into a DP. Learn like one combo with higher payout that gives you more reward and you good on that part. Also wanted to ask if you have a genuine gameplan in a match all the time or if you are "ballin" it accounting to what your opponent is doing.
@@petrawulf9 that's the thing, tsukinode got grabbed during the startup frames of H lash, and that move is air-invulnerable until active, except ground-targeting aerial grabs like kim's just bypass that

Dunno if you're looking for advice but. Your anti-airs are super on point but I recommend you actually jump less yourself so you can focus on your button usage in neutral more, and make more use of buttons like f hk, 5 mk, and confirming the hp target combo for cammy specifically 6:47 throw your fireball and just wait, you can cancel to ex slide on reaction if she uses level 3. you can totally flip the direction of the set with that knowledge check

yeah, I saw your comment at the same time I've been going over to Stand Mp instead of stand MK off the DR overhead. The high level A.K.I.'s also do it that way so I've been practicing. It's easier and more consistent and gives the same advantages. XD
