House Cat | A Namibian Leopard Hunt | Fierce Firearms
Nice location, nice game but horrible stalk on day 3. You spooked the animals so easily and lost such a nice trophy (second bull on camera). Not sure you really need 7mm BC for those standard range shots. A 7 mm RM with a good 160-165 grain bullet would have done the same job, IME. The 7 mm BC looks appealing but I am not sure about reloading steel alloy cases that have to work flawlessly at 80 PSI. It 's possible solution for those hunting at longer ranges and do not reload (assuming they come up with good range of off-the-shelf loads).
My 7 Rem tops 3k with 175gn Partitions using Retumbo. Yawn!
In a 20" barrel? This cartridge is designed with one sole purpose - get magnum velocities out of short, suppressed barrels.
“We’re out here testing the new 7mm “backcountry” on a high fence game ranch down south, had a few good opportunities but none were far enough away” You guys could have used a 7x57 on a hunt like this with the same results 🤦🏼♂️
That was deadly.
Fierce has crappy customer service! You can read about it all over the place. I wanted one but decided not to. Excuse of their issues. Go for the new Seekins phase 3 freaking awesome and Weatherby all day. Their customers is beyond amazing and fast. Once fierce has you and you buy a gun if you have issues you go to the back burner! You can get lucky and maybe get a nights out shooter sure. But when you need a company to fix something or get it done fierce does not come get the job done.
Of course he dropped you popped em in the fkn neck 😂...ill keep my 7 prc thats as advanced as im gettin lol
🚮🚮🚮🚮🚮
I like they long range. Shoting too. 👍
Brother that was a good shot. Congratulations. 👍
These two guys are the biggest douchebags lol
I love my 7mm rem mag and 7prc. I don't see any other reasons to get another 7mm caliber. I wished the 6.8 western didn't die out and other other ammo company makes ammo for it. Next calibers on list if the 6.8 western gets more popular and other ammo manufacturers load for it and the 300prc which will be the only 30 cal i have. In California so i dont see why i need anything bigger. Shooting copper bullets with the 7mm mag n 7prc flies so true.
It achieves faster numbers with 4-6" less barrel length and no worse barrel burn .. i wouldn't say it's nothing.
Man, I would think you would want to go for an elk that is single and not surrounded by cows. great video on the ammo though.
Funny how he harps on that 3,000 fps 🤣🤣🤣 and he says it like there ain’t already a bunch of Big Game Calibers that go that fast and faster. My Remington 300 Ultra Mag pushes Barnes 190 grain over 3,100 FPS and ain’t no Elk ever ran off that was shot with it 🤷🏾♂️
I think you’re not understanding the big picture, you’re 300 RUM is probably a 26 inch barrel without a muzzle brake or suppressor, they are using very short barrels that shoot nearly the same “FPS”. But I agree with part of your message bc I love my 300 RUM, bc it drops everything
I am an avid big game hunter and a fan of Fierce rifles but this video is really portraying the wrong message about hunters. Hunting elk during the rut with a rifle, killing them in open cow pastures, seemingly lying about the shot distance on the first bull, and flashing Rolex watches while hunting in cotton t-shirts really does not exemplify the type of hunter who should be considering buying this new cartridge. That was sad to see.
Agreed. In a world of cheesy hunting videos this one was the parmesan
Jesus Christ Karen, jealous much.. who cares how and when “they” decide to do their hunt and with what “they” use bc it’s their hunt, their choice. Go complain somewhere else, better yet, be a better person in life and stop complaining about others choices bc it’s their life, not yours. SMH
Hate to break it to you but this is all content related hunting. Only way to combat it is to stop watching and supporting it.
It’s in NM on reservation and this winter was very warm for AZ NM. Plus they said it’s a management hunt. Did you watch the video?
@@adunx In the first minute of the video they talk about how hard they are rutting. This is quite obviously a peak rut hunt. Did you even watch the video?
7prc just went obsolete.
Nope, it’s $50 box for eldx and you can get 7prc in many brands.
@sapperROSS 20 inch barrel 3000 fps. End of story.
Says a guy that doesn’t own a 7prc
@@joshuaw2988 Most definitely not. Pussay caliber. My .782 Warbird screams past em all at 3700fps...
lol boy are you clueless
Farm raised elk , with a cartridge that you cant handload for . Screw your suppressor , and a throat eating round , you guys must be in with Federal that is owned out of this country by commies.
I don't care about all new bs...am staying with my old work horse the 30-06....
Rockin that 1965 REM 700 .270 🤙🏼
@ondaholo1568 I been running a old 1962 760 pump 30-06 with a 18inch barral...never let me down
@@davidlantz4560 pump? That’s cool🤙🏼
@@ondaholo1568 yes it is very cool...it's a carbine model....it's very accurate out to 300yards .... with corelokt an power shock an fosion all 150gr....
4:17 that shot was like 80 yards maybe 100 tops😂definitely not 200 yards
@@darinplumb7844 I was thinking the same thing....so much hype on this 7bc it's stupid....
Is this place a high fence operation? Seemed like the elk were a little tame.
@@TomL3grandsons same thoughts man....
@@davidlantz4560can't blame the cartridge. It sure did its job. Would've liked to have seen them cleaning the animal/internal damage. Those tipped fusions look nasty
@@daltonv5206 yeah man the fusion bullet works very good...but I use a 30-06 150gr with a 18inch barral at 2800fps never let me down on very big whitetail deer an big bears....
Went and looked at a bunch of Fierce rifles at Scheels. What is with the finish? Every single one looked like someone took a paint brush and splattered clear epoxy or Elmer's across the whole stock.
Agree could look nicer but it's gonna be a hunting rifle, it's gonna get beat up and scratched in it. Just more stories to tell
I need a tag more than a new gun.
7mm bc is going to be niiiiice in that mountain reaper
As long as it doesn't have those infamous Fierce QC problems.
@@JohanWXCyou’re thinking of Christenson
@@darinplumb7844 I'm certainly not. I've bought two Fierce rifles, and both had to go back for repairs.
Nah fierce is garbage. Google fierce firearms disaster for a laugh
@@JohanWXC my shop in tx wont sell fierce anymore. Said they wouldn't to admit to a batch of bad barrels and even fierce even blocked him. Said he had to send back multiple within a couple month period. Even told me they aren't worth it solely because of their customer support. Apparently they don't like admitting to their mistakes. Going with seekins or a horizon after hearing this.
left hand?
Psychopath
Psychopaths are not good in music and arts
Good thing your not shooting the Reaper it would have fallen apart after the shot.
That a 307 hush ?
Nice mescalero monsters
insert here >>>>>>> 7mm backcountry....
That has got to be a tie for the best looking stock I have ever seen on a rifle.
That has got to be a tie for the best looking stock I have ever seen on a gun.
I Generally keep my comments to myself, and i will pretty much continue to do so, however this video and all the advertisement and marketing leading up to this "long range hunting" has pretty much pushed me away. This shit aint hunting. I love accurate rifles and ringing steel at long rang as much as anyone, but laying on a road and shooting 1k yards to punch a tag has zero skill regarding hunting (fine shooting yes, im speaking in regards to ethics and hunting.) The marketing that lead people to believe this is ok that are the same people who have no buisness trying this is too much.
Idiots…
That guy from fierce was a cluster getting set-up lol
New Mexico is the best! Even Metallica knows
There are lots of ways to hunt. I'm not sure driving around in a truck and shooting 6-700 yards from the road is one of them. I won't be a repeat viewer.
I’m running the Scythe on my MTN Reaper as well. Awesome combo.
This is not new, have had it for months now
Should have made a longer bipod it's way too short for real hunting situations.
Can anyone tell me how heavy the bipod is? It looks awesome
I can weigh mine later
I bought your bipod and it’s great! Looks good on my Mtn Reaper. Everyone that has seen the gun loves it.
I got my carbon rogue last year…very nice! Don’t get the void this gun fills. Why would you want this over the carbon rogue…me asking?
What ammo you using? Looked like nickel brass so that narrows it down to Federal ELDX, Hornady CX Outfitter, maybe Federal Terminal Ascent? or Barnes 160 LRX unless it is handloaded.
High fence hunt.
“Hunting”
This is disgusting. Stuff like this gives hunters a bad name and contributes to lots of wounded animals. Anyone who shoots long range knows all it takes is a small updraft, cross wind, etc and that bull would be suffering and run off
The new fad of yuppies hunting is pretty annoying
Second shot was off further than the first! But hey, it will get views so they can pay to go hunt another one.
A good rule it never shoot farther then you feel comfortable shooting. If you only feel comfortable out to 300yds then don’t go beyond that. If you comfortable out to 800yds then go ahead and take the shot. Practice makes perfect and the more you practice you do the comfortable you will feel taking a longer shot
A little back...way back. Lol.
Pretty bad shooting. Especially when you're trying to advertise a gun!😂
There was wind adjustment. If he was aiming for the shoulder on both shots, the wind pushed the bullet 18”-24” left.
I love mule deer hunting…but watching your video is like going to a rock concert performed by a juke box
I give a lot of credit for being honest and not editing the first shot. Nice deer excellent follow up shot.
I bet he didn't mean to shot it in the neck. Pretty bad shooting!
@ I bet he didn’t ether. 😂
