Will it last and is it safe
@@dmoney843 yes, so far it’s lasted and it’s been safe. It’s called Fast 2K and is a better and more convenient alternative to concrete for setting fence posts. It also eliminates the need to mix or wait around for it to set. The only downside is that it is a bit more expensive than concrete mix but definitely a time saver and worth it in my opinion.
this literally DOES NOT WORK ON SEPTICA TANKS THIS IS LIKE YOU DRAINED AN AQUARIUAM CLOWN
How did you know you were getting leakage? - Also, no need for cement. The sealing tape is more than enough + the weight of the sand/dirt is enough to keep it from ever moving.
I knew there was a leakage because the tanks were not in use and were empty initially and the leakage started only after I hired someone to install the risers. Every time it rained, both tanks filled up completely. So I knew there was some kind of damage that was done when that person installed them. It was trial and error to figure out where the problem was located and that ended up with me replacing the risers with new ones and I know the cement was overkill but didn’t want any chance of them leaking. Initially I thought the leakage was due to them not being sealed properly and hence the cement use.
Those risers are dog water! Primarily due to how the lid attaches. You’re gonna keep punching holes in the corrugated pipe. So just try to keep “hitting” the same holes when you screw the lids back down.
Is this a joke?
It shouldn't leak from the inlet unless the water level is too high.
Leak resolved after that fix
yay, cement board and rock wool.
My system is an aerobic sewerage treatment system with sprinklers for the effluent. When I clean my tanks out I use a waste water pump and suck out everything from the bottom of my holding tank and the clarifier tank. It comes out looking like thick, used, 90 weight gear oil as it get to the bottom but no stink. I live on acreage so I just move the dishcharge hose around evenly. It quickly dries out, grass grows through it, the rain waters it and voila after one or two weeks during the summers I do this I have clean tanks, and renewed lawns.
Ok, but you ain't getting them off again if damaged.
Glad to know there was no brain matter in there.
Too bad you gotta live on a hill , or have a ditch nearby . Not working here where it's flat .
You would need a hose pump for a flat area. A drill pump is about $12 on Amazon. You just connect your hose to each side of it and run it with your drill.
That holes plenty deep to set a post anyway lol
😂😂
My grandfather had automatic gate openers for years, first it was his kids and then his grand kids
Is setting posts with foam a normal thing now? I seen a youtube video of it and thought it was one of those fake life hacks

I've yet to see a foam product that didn't have significant shrinkage, and thereby post wobble, issues within a few days. I strongly don't recommend using it.
@@samanderson7745 I used Fast 2K Deck Post Anchor 2.5-lb Fast Setting Concrete Mix. I’ve tried other foam brands which didn’t do so well but that one is hard as a rock and gets the job done.
You just created a deadwood.
Um…is that tree not going to grow over the years and take the wood slat up with it?
They actually grow from the top up I recently learned while building a treestand. From the tree house master guy 😂 they also get fatter which is usually the problem. And why they make "floating" supports for structures on trees. Hell get years out of that fence rail untill he runs into problems.
Free wood
Doesn’t even need cement to hold it down
Were did you get that lid with the key lock for the 50amp cable???
I found it on amazon. Here's the link to it a.co/d/53ueZql
Endless fun! 🤩
Was that scarlet begonias
Yeah you got it right
Get some noise canceling cusions place wn around the interior and when you close the door you should get little to no sounds
Thanks for the tip. I used sound deadening material and it helped reduce the noise.
This is why i choose makita its much better
Bro your kidding me right?
Please Somebody tell him! 🤦🏻♂️
Build to last. Consider the long term effects of exterior wood. Just because its treated doesn't mean it wont rot. A few extra steps will save you time and money in the long run.
What do you recommend for T11 siding?
@@wildtiny oil based primer like kilz or zinzzer then caulk cut edge then coat with latex paint to blend with siding
Wow! You did this all by yourself!
Didn't use any window flashing it's going to leak and rot
Oh yeah, good point. Definitely adding flashing.
This guy must be a pro. Wow
Who in their right mind runs a hole saw both ways 😂😂 easiest way to ruin that tool
Made that look harder than it is
Why not center it between the lines?
Great eye! I want to get even insulation around it and there’s a stud in the way.
Bruh your backyard is going to smell like death for the next 2 years

'promosm' ❣️
I use air compressor with blow nozzle.. really gets in there
it’s more compact to keep a leaf blower in your nail bag lol
That's an awesome job! Wow!
Black widow is an insect, not a woman who lost her husband? Sorry English is not my mother tongue.
Just KILL the stupid spider, these freakin things are everywhere. Dudes over here trying to "rescue" some venomous spider that infest literally EVERY region. As though he's helping the world lol.
Just kill it. Smh
I would burry that bottle and come hack to it in a year to see if its dead
Are u braindead, its gonna be dead since it has no water no food and limited air
Unless you have small kids leave it there. Spiders are good, they keep the other bugs out and won't harm you
that's a black widow, they're highly poisonous!!
It's a black widow xD not taking any chances
Yeah then you get a nest and next thing you know, you've got 200 black windows inside or around the property. ANY spider can help kill infects, idk why anyone would want black widows or brown recluses around their house.
@@kingmento1267 black widows are everywhere here. they care more about eating bugs than they do pointlessly biting you
@@Coastal_Cruzer I have a baby not taking any chances
Whatcha buildin'? Firewood shed, dog house, compost cover, toy car garage, boat motor storage next to the dock, micro man-cave, solitary confinment for bad children?
Those all sound like really good ideas, specially the man-cave. It’s going to be a hurricane/fire proof generator shed.
@@wildtiny ahhh nice job then. Don't forget to ventilate the intake and exhaust.
@@dshobe720 for sure, definitely on my checklist
whyd you square your mark when you have a miter saw?
It’s a habit from before I could afford the miter saw.
this screams “on a budget” 😭🙏 the hustle real
I feel terrible for the kid that drank out of that garden hose one hot summer day after you did this! Plus what are using a septic tank for if all you needed was a dry well?? No grey matter my ass!
You should definitely purchase a separate hose for that kind of diy and discard afterwards. If you have kids around your projects, you should always educate them. Thankfully all we have are wild animals on many acres which do not drink out of a hose and are smart enough to keep away during projects. This video is for what we did on our property for our use, for our projects, which will definitely be different from yours or others. When someone purchases a property and want to built on it, develop it, it is important to check all new or existing systems on the property before using them.
Isn't poo in your septic tank? Dumping that down the hill seems wrong.
Guy isn't using this tank because the tank has a leak, so it's getting rainwater when it shouldnt. That water is dirty, in the sense it has mud and soil, but hasnt any kind of fecal matter on it. A septic tank filled with that kind of sludge cant be emptied via a siphon alone.
These septic tanks were not connected to any home and did not have any poo/pee/waste in them other than rain water, dirt/mud. We definitely do not recommend this if your tanks are in use and have human waste in them.
@@wildtiny They're draining septic tanks that nobody is using. That's like unclogging a toilet that nobody uses. I guess its possible. If they drain the water won't the septic tank float away when it rains?
@@brgrote very important to make sure your septic tanks are working properly before connecting them to your home or building a home. You don’t want to find out there’s an issue after the fact and much easier to take care of prior to connecting. The floating question is a very popular question as you can see in the other comments. These are solid fixed concrete tanks and no issues with them floating away.
I'm not sure how this septic system works, but most septic systems are designed to syphon off black water (poo/pee water) into the ground via the leach field/drain field. You have the first half of your tank that holds solids and the last segment of the tank holds liquids. When those liquids fill up, the water reaches a pipe that eventually leads to a drain field that saturates the ground with the black water.
Why would you siphon or pump water from the tank leaving empty such that might float if the ground around it were to become aturated. The purpose of the tank is to fill with water. Most tank manufacurers recomend filling the tank with water ASAP.
Great question. The reason the tanks had to be emptied after they filled with rain water was so to figure out where the leak was coming from. If you watch the video before and after this one, it is explained. It took us a bit to figure out, but we eventually found the leak and fixed it. These tanks are solid concrete and are fixed in place. There was no concern of them floating.
i feel ya bud
Yippie. An easy fix. sort of. lots of labor but no large cost. This may sound stupid but did you partially fill the tanks to prevent them from "floating" out of the ground? This happens around North Carolina. My neck of the USA. Hopefully they are in use so not an issue by now.
We had a bit of water in them from checking the inside of them with the hose but not partially filled. These tanks are concrete so they are in place and won’t move unless dug up completely.
Beautiful

I had an issue in a mostly flat but slightly sloping yard after 3 feet of snow melted almost overnight and heavy rain for a week. Leech field was saturated, and water backed up into septic tank. I used a submersible pump and garden hose to drain the tank into my driveway ditch. Had to do this every few days for a month or more. Highly illegal in most areas, but you do what you have too.
The leech field crossed our mind also but didn't make sense because our system is down a significant slope. Thankfully we got it figured out before having to use the tanks. I'm sure using a submersible pump with a garden hose was a lot smoother process than what we did. Agree 100%, you got to do what you have to do.
@morrismonet3554 did your leech field ever recover after doing this?
@@keypeeyt1758 Yes. after the ground dried, I put several jugs of Roebic K-57 in and it's back to normal.
