Hi! I’m so glad the video helped. It sounds like you’re doing all the right things, and having your lab mix as a role model is a really big bonus! If your pup starts to go potty inside, pick them up and take them right back outside - even if they are still going. This will help drive it home for them that outside is the correct location. Praise and reward when they are done going outside. Keep it positive. FYI: Around 5-6 months old, you may notice some 'puppy potty regression'. Sometimes it feels like all of that progress goes out the window, but what it really means is you are almost there! Hang in there and keep going... potty training dachshunds can take time, but consistency pays off! You’ve got this! 🐶👏

Oh my goodness, It can be so frustrating. Sometimes when my Eko eats too fast, I split his meals up into two parts and give him each one about 15-20 minutes apart in a couple of slow feeder bowls.

@ yes it is, she is psycho when she eats. I’m pretty sure it’s the breeders‘s fault that her dogs eat vast when they feed all the puppies in one big bowl and I think mine was therunt of the litter and she needs to have food so now she thinks her brother is going to get her food. Lol I just purchased the whole spin around dog bone slower. I get it Friday. Hopefully it helps that she throws up all her food. She eats so fast I smash it down in the ball. It helps, but that little booger still can figure out all puzzles.

I know it can be so frusterating. Doxies of any age who are struggling with potty training need to start potty training from the beginning. Watching and letting out every hour until they start to get the hang of it. No free roam of the home until fully potty trained and lots of puppy gates and playpens to protect your home from accidents. While it is possible to leave a dachshund home for 7 hours, they thrive on being around their family. To keep them happy and healthy, consider options like a dog walker or doggie daycare to help with potty breaks and prevent separation anxiety. Dachshunds are social and do best with interaction during the day.

Hi, we bought the medium size hammock. It's a little big for our black and tan doxie, Gretta, who weighs around 11-12 pounds. But, it fits right for Eko who weighs 14-15 pounds.
