It's a bit sad that the engine noise running for most of the show is that one of CF-6 DC-10. But I understand back in the day very few camera had sound recodring, if any at all.

1956 New Yorker Flughafen "La Guardia" Während mein Vater darauf wartete, die Crew an Bord der brandneuen DC7C Seven Seas mit der Seriennummer HB-IBK der Swissair-Fluggesellschaft auf der Flugstrecke Zürich - New York über Shannon zu übernehmen, filmte er diese Szenen vom Parkplatz aus mit seiner 8 mm.Ein Super Constellation Lockheed 1049 G "Super G" mit TWA-Lackierung im Taxi und einem Boeing 377 Stratocruiser, der vor der Kamera geparkt ist, während das Flugzeug meines Vaters, der Radio Navigator Nocentini Pietro, ankommt. Von seinem Radiosender aus filmte er die Motoren mit voller Geschwindigkeit, startete von der Landebahn RWYS 4 und flog über die Gewässer des East River.

Da un filmato di famiglia a mia disposizione. 1956 Aeroporto di New York “La Guardia” Mio padre, in attesa di dare il cambio all’equipaggio imbarcato sul nuovissimo DC7C’s Seven Seas matricola HB-IBK della compagnia aerea Swissair, nella tratta di volo Zurigo - New York via Shannon, filmava con la sua 8 mm queste scene dal parcheggio. Un Super Constellation Lockheed 1049 G “Super G” con livrea TWA in rullaggio e un Boeing 377 Stratocruisers in parcheggio di fronte alla telecamera mentre è in arrivo l’aereo di mio padre il Radio Navigatore Nocentini Pietro. Dalla sua postazione radio filmava i motori a pieni regimi, durante il decollo dalla pista RWYS 4 e il sorvolo delle acque del East River.

Wie breit die Sitze in der DC10 waren, nur 8 (2-4-2) pro Reihe, später waren es ja 9 (2-5-2), heute wären es sicher 10 (3-4-3), wie man bei der 777 sieht. Aber dafür ist jetzt Fliegen für fast jeden leistbar, was auch gut ist. Oft ist PremiumEco, das was früher Economy war.
