C7 sounds and looks a lot better to me. Not a fan of the C8s. I hate the taillights and the big black plastic storm drain grills on the nose of the C8s. Add a cam to the C7 so it has some chop and it will be perfect.

I hate paddle shift and automatics. My 2013 ZR1 is only got a few mods on it. Cam, intake, straight pipe exhaust. And some suspension mods to compensate for the extra horsepower. I went from 660 horsepower to 780. It's violent and it's all the car I need. 2.45 pully, Titanium headers, titanium strait pipe exhaust, BTR stage 3 cam the blower package. Titanium valve springs and retainers on the heads and the ARP head studs to keep it sealed. Oh. And the flex fuel conversion. E85 only.
