So glad you enjoyed it! The foot bass is a digital sample driven by a touch sensitive trigger, so the harder Dave taps it the louder the bass drum is. This particular instrument is not made anymore, but similar does exist in other brands. The tambourine is a self-build and the mini hi-hat is called a low-boy. I don't have any notation or tabs for any of my parts, but I can give you an indication of the notes played: g0-g2-g0-d4-d2, g0-g5-g4-g2, g0-g2-g4, then repeat but add to last line g0-g2-g4-g5-g4-g2-g4. Bear in mind that I've converted it up an octave for the bass. George's original guitar solo is on e3-a0-e3-e2-e0, e3-a3-a2-a0, e3-a0-a2 etc. This would put it at the same pitch as my bass notes. Charlie fills with hi-hat triplets in the Stones' version, giving it a 6/8 groove. With foot percussion this fill is not possible as you would need to ride with sticks, so we take it a little faster to keep the energy and the momentum going in the 4/4. Thanks Christopher, that's so nice to hear, as putting smiles on faces is exactly why we play! My acoustic bass is a Stagg, which I was given about 10 years ago by someone who wasn't really playing it, and which set me off on the acoustic journey that was to become this latest incarnation of The Tickets. For an originally inexpensive instrument it plays really well with the comfortable neck being its strongest point. It took me a while to get the right sound out of it, but a faulty pre-amp replacement, a truss rod adjustment to eliminate buzz and a change of strings to black nylon tape wound did the job. I also strike with the nail of my index finger to add a percussive edge to the vintage upright bass thump that the strings produce. Everything is recorded with EQ flat straight into the digital interface, so what you hear is as close as we can get to the natural sound of each instrument. Glad you like it! - Nigel

Thanks Edilson, we really appreciate and value your loyalty and appreciation of our music! As is so often the case, the delays have been caused by a combination of factors: a laptop in need of a double hardware upgrade, a persistent studio gremlin causing clicks in our recordings, a busy live schedule which stopped us from setting up the studio which uses the same gear, and indeed even a few unavoidable ageing challenges. There is at least one more video "in the bag" which will be published as soon as I've (Nigel) finished editing it, so we're not done yet. Hugs back from Holland!
