OLD forests of TUNTSA wilderness next to the Russian border!
Tuntsa Wilderness Area in Eastern Lapland, Finland covers 212 square kilometers, and features rugged hills, calm lakes, and dense forests. Ideal for hiking, camping, and fishing, Tuntsa offers scenic views along the UKK Hiking Trail and a rich natural history.
I hiked Tuntsa area in late June 2024, when the forests were still wet from the snowmelt and greenery was just starting to bloom. Thunder chased me for several days but never fortunately appeared directly overhead.

Digging SNOW CAVES and pulling pulk in THREE countries! Ski EXPEDITION to Northern NORWAY.
In early March 2024 I joined a guided ski expedition from Kilpisjärvi (Finland), towards the Norwegian mountains. The expedition took a week and covered a distance of roughly 100 kilometers, passing famous mountains Pältsa and Barras. Our group of 12 plus two guides set up 3-person tunnel tents every evening, two persons per tent. Days were spent skiing expedition-style in 50-minute "legs" with...

I participated in INTRO TO ARCTIC SKI EXPEDITIONS course organized by @avotunturit1095, in preparation for a longer tour this winter. The course took place at Syöte National Park in Finland in early January 2024. We had a group of 10 students learning about our gear and packing it into our sled pulks, with the aim to overnight in our tents at Ahmatupa hut. We learned about how to safely use mul...

SUN NEVER SETS at MUOTKATUNTURI Wilderness - MIDSUMMER hike! [SILENT][4K][CINEMATIC][2023]
Midsummer in Lapland is magical time. This year I hiked (again) in Muotkatunturi wilderness! Muotkatunturi Wilderness area is one of the 12 wilderness areas in Finland. It is often referred to as “the wildest of all wilderness areas”. There are no marked hiking trails, though adventurous visitors can trek to see the huge Peltojärvi Lake. An experienced hiker can come here to the edge of nature,...
WADING along HOSSA National Park Trails in early spring! [4K]
In May I went for a three-night hike in Hossa National Park, just as the lakes and trails were (almost) free from snow. The route started from funnily -named Hevonperseenmutka (Horse's Ass Bend) lean-to from where I walked to Lake Kokalmus southern banks and back. The trails frequently disappeared under flood waters and some huts along the way were sitting in a shallow puddle of water! I slept ...
SYÖTE National Park - SnowSTORM and sun! [2023] [SKI HIKE]
A two night ski hike at Syöte National Park in the Finnish Lapland. Syöte is famous for snow-crowned boreal trees and deep snow. I spent one night in my tent near Rytitupa hut, and was forced to take shelter in Raatetupa hut during the second night's snow storm. Northern Finland received 20 centimeters of fresh snow, driven by moderate winds so the idea of setting up a tent was not appealing. T...
HOW to make a HIKING VIDEO?[PARODY][FUNNY][COMPILATION]
Ever wondered what it looks like to shoot a hiking video in real life? It's mostly videoing your own butt walking past the camera, and then editing those parts out. (*) Take a look at 43 minutes of footage taken during 5 years of hiking...condensed to four minutes! That is, 43 minutes that actually ended up on this video. Countless hours, failed pose attempts and unpublished gigabytes of footag...

Looks like an amazing adventure through the old forests of Tuntsa! The wilderness there is so beautiful and rugged. Must have been pretty wild with thunder chasing you, haha. Glad it didn’t get too close! Thanks for sharing, really love the calm vibes of the area 😊
🙏
Very nice video! What kind of shoes and foot protection you used for such a muddy and sweampy conditions? Thank you
Thank you very much! My shoes are Topo Athletic Ultraventure Pro trail runners, non-goretex. I use Kahtoola light gaiters to keep most of the dirt and mud out of the shoes. In the evening I clean my feet well and put some cream to keep the skin of my feet from drying and cracking...
BTW I have a GEAR section in my photoblog that also talks about footwear: exposedpaths.exposure.co/categories/gear
Kiitos! Tykkään itse luonnon äänien ja musiikin sekoituksesta 😂
Thank you! IT's amazing.
Fantastisk vackert. Fint filmat. Otroligt vackra höstfärger. Jag längtar tillbaka.
Fantastic video ❤ New subscriber from Norway 🎉
Spent ten days alone in Sarek this summer and fellin love.comoletely. Your video has convinced me I need to go back to experience fall as well. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I'm planning an autumn hike to Sarek at the moment but perhaps I'll go a bit earlier this year... 😂
Just got back from Norway myself and loved it! Your campervan tour of the Lyngen Alps looks amazing. Blåvatnet lake and Steindahlsbreen glacier hike are such stunning spots. Thanks for sharing these beautiful places. Cheers, Simon
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏

What an amazing expedition! ⛷ The journey from Kilpisjärvi to the Norwegian mountains looks incredible, especially passing by the famous Pältsa and Barras. The mix of skiing, setting up tents, and even building snow caves must have been an unforgettable experience. Kudos to the knowledgeable guides Venni and Jaakko from @avotunturit1095 and everyone who joined. Thanks for sharing this epic adventure! ❄🏔
impressive shots, beautifull nature, a relaxing and motivating video as i like. thanks for sharing.
Thanks 🙏
Your videos are wonderful 👍🏻😁
Thank you 🙏
Miten hieno video! Kiitos kun jaoit. Ihanan rauhallinen ja kiireetön tunnelma välittyy retkestäsi <3 Ihanaa kesää ja kepeitä pyöräilykelejä sinulle.
Kiitos paljon!
Simply wonderful film….👍🏻❤
Hej. Vart hittade du kjolen? 🙌🏻🙏🏻

Beautiful film, well done! 👌
Kiitos!
I'm curious what kind of rain skirt you're wearing ?
This one is ULA Rain kilt. I also have Northernlite one that is a bit longer (and more protective).
Fantastic ❄️👍
Beautifully filmed! 👍🏻 As a Scandinavian myself, I'm attracted to the grandeur of nature and 'tiny me' being immersed into it. And autumn brings both beauty & a sort of sadness - an irresistible mix 🙂 Your film inspires me, TQ 🙏🏼
Thank you! Melancholic atmosphere is exactly what I want to do 🙏
Hej. Väldigt snyggt filmat och presenterat. 👍🏻🙏🏼🥰
Tack so mycket!

Mukavan näköistä 👍
So beautiful. Was that late August or early September?
Thanks !🙏It was the first week of September.
Kiitos hienosta videosta! On siellä upeat maisemat. Vuodenvaihteessa käytiin, mutta olisipa hienoa päästä joskus keväämmälläkin tuonne. Ei tainnut olla paljoa muita? Oliko muuten Moskanjärven autiotuvalla puita?
Kiitos!
Looks lovely, thanks for sharing!
🙏
8:46 Am I missing something? 🤔
The number is bit out context, true 😁But obviously, it's a street number at the entrance to the snow cave 😂
The Nordic region, in my humble opinion, stands as the epitome of breathtaking beauty. Its vast expanses of rolling hills adorned with endless lush forests and beautiful countryside, each boasting its unique character, whether hilly or flat, evoke a sense of magical. The multitude of lakes and streams in Finland and sweden, alongside Norway's majestic fjords and mountains and Sweden's distinctive mountains, paint a portrait of unparalleled natural splendor. With winters draped in pristine white, teeming with incredible wildlife, and illuminated by the mesmerizing dance of the Northern Lights, the Nordic landscape truly captivates the soul. Everywhere one ventures in the Nordic expanse, beauty unfurls in all its glory, making it undeniably the most exquisite place on Earth.
skyrim irl
Nice video. I think I met you, started also at that time from Kilpisjarvi. We were lucky with the weather.
🙏Yeah, the hotel was suprisingly busy, usually the ski season starts bit later in the spring. We indeed had a great luck with the weather that week, forecast looked a lot duller than that. I hope you had a successful hike also! edit: you have a video also - must watch!
Hieno video! 👌Piti heti kurkistaa miltä Ankarien Avotunturien reissulla näytti, kun pikaisesti retkellämme teihin törmättiin 😄 Meidän telttaleirikin pääsi näemmä ohimennen kuviin 😊 Todella hienon lumiluolan kaiverruksineen saitte tehtyä!
Kiitos!

We are planning a trip to UKK in August If you have a GPX track, could you please share it?
Great production quality, very atmospheric. Having good sound quality, where you can hear the wind blowing through the trees and the grass, is a crucial component for making hiking videos truly immersive. Can't wait for this years hiking adventures after watching this video, thanks!
Awesome, thank you! I agree about the audio - makes or breaks the immersion!
Absolutely fantastic video
Thank you very much!
The best video on Sarek. Excellent filming and attention for nature‘s treasures. It needs no words to witness that this was a tough and uncomfortable hike with all the rain. Thank you!
Thank you! 🙏
Thanks for this beautiful video! I visited Sarek in September 2023 and can recognize some of the some of the places in the video, where I also been to.
Thank you! Did you catch the storm winds in early September?
I was there in Oktober 2021, I walked over the mountain from Tarfala and that view in the thumbnail is even more breathtaking in reality.
That's true, photo has only a small part of all the mountain peaks you can see from this point!
You should ask Christopher Nolan to follow you on your next adventure...
🤣🤣
