Some good sense in here. I prefer a cart with drawers all the way down. Also, don't just sit there and watch a PCM program, please! Or play on your phone while an AC system is evacuating. Use that time elsewhere!
This video is awesome dude, my 4g63 brings me here😊
I remember doing my first remap on a ford fiesta. Then I did it on a fiat mini van, I done this when I was 18. Of course, I put the battery terminals the wrong way around and fried the ecu😂 Have fun seamless, thanks for your continual posts. I enjoy watching them
Pointing at zero on the graph. Interesting
I talked to a tech at a Dodge dealership. Where they charge $235 an hour for labor he had been a dedicated Dodge /Chrysler mechanic for 25 years they still only paid him $27 an hour. That shit don't add up to me.
I would have to agree with you there. He needs to find a place that will pay him what he’s worth. Keep in mind that it is up to us to make sure that we are compensated for what we’re worth. It goes both ways.
@@seamlessgarage5830 true that.
Over here a single bunk snap on box would set you back easily £1500. I’ve got a Clarke box which cost me £600 and it’s really decent. I’m thinking about investing in a Kirkland box from costco, which is £650 on a promotion and it’s literally the same box being showcased but black n red. Hope you’re doing well seamless, thanks for always making these vids👍🏼
The real ones get it. Save the money for the tools.
All the techs I know that own homes have cheap boxes from Harbor Freight. All the ones I know that live with their parents or rent apartments have Snap-On boxes. Something to think about…
That’s a great point. Tool boxes are basically a flex at this point.
Shitttt. Give me the cheap general ones from Harbor Freight. I don’t need no Snap On neither. 😂
That’s right. Save that money and buy more tools.
Hit the nail on the head haha, it’s not easy but at the end of the day, we know that iron sharpens iron. Eat the meat and spit the bones, take what’s good and leave the bad out. Have a blessed day from uk man
You’ve got it man!!! Now pass that along brother!
Thanks for saying this! Sometimes its hard to feel like I have a future turning wrenches when there is so much negativity about it online. While I definitely think there are a lot of issues with the field that often get taken advantage of by bad dealerships, if you find a good one a lot of those issues can be corrected in my opinion.
You hit the nail on the head, my friend. Finding a quality dealership that takes care of their technicians can be difficult, but once you find the one it changes the game.
Firee
u wanna do the most bs n make tge same?listen to this guy
What seems to be the problem?
I realize this might be funny to a guy who's working on cars and trucks, but I'm trying to learn how to repair golf carts at my job. I'm the gopher for a guy 10 years my junior but he really is the guy your describing. Patient, a wealth of knowledge and willing to explain that knowledge as best he can to me. I've always loved working with my hands so the mechanical stuff doesn't slow me down, but if I wanna be a good repair tech at this job I gotta be hell on wheels with a multimeter and that's mainly what he's teaching me. Anyway, i think what your saying will resonate with a lot of guys in the trade. Good advice, let's hope people heed it!
That is great Matt! We just love repairing things in general. Turning wrenches is the name of the game. Using a multimeter is a great skill that’s highly needed into today’s auto repairs. It seems like everyone has a multimeter but very few actually know what to do with it. Soak in all of that knowledge that’s being passed to you. It will prove to be valuable.
This video is exactly what I needed, I just started working at firestone 2 weeks ago, and I am not very efficient, there are causes from me and other cause I don't have a tool cart or tools of my own at the shop, so I have to keep borrowing and asking for specific tools if the shop tool box didn't have it, so that's prolly another reason why I'm not as efficient, but all these tips mentioned are definitely points I can work on and improve, I'm waiting for my second paycheck to buy the US General tool cart and get some tools from Harbour Freight. Thanks!
We’re glad that this video could help you improve your efficiency and get you growing as a mechanic. Just getting started and acquiring tools regardless of brand will go a long way. Keep us updated on your journey as a Technician.
I may be mistaken, but i believe the orientation of the gaps is for blow-by due to the compression. Could be wrong, let me know!
You are correct, that orientation is like that bc if both of the gaps are lined up with each other, the gases escape, losing compression. But if they are in the orientation demonstrated, its alot harder for the gases to escape.
average subaru owner after their car blows up:
It feels like icarus flying too close to the sun
This is why I enjoy my smaller cart, I’ve had my ramp overtaken by a few mechanics and they always ask if it’s an issue and I always say naaa don’t worry, since I can just work anywhere with all my tools :)
That's the advantage of using a roll around. It's an advantage that I don't think every tech knows about.
Damn sorry bud that one looks pricey 😅
Rip bro😂
Theo can make anything funny 😂 but fr that sucks.
Dam shit sucks happen to me about a year ago . Good luck
Thank you. It's never a good feeling.
so you are proud of overcharging customers?
You clearly don't understand our line of work.
@@seamlessgarage5830 I do, who do you think fronts the money? Customers. You want to rip of customers, you do you, you’re all a bunch of scammers.
Are you suggesting penalizing the technician for being experienced and getting your vehicle repaired faster?
@@seamlessgarage5830 I’m saying don’t overcharge customers for a poor rushed job. The pay model incentive’s a quick job over a proper job. Your customers lives are at risk and well obviously you don’t care about that because you’re home eating donuts during the hours the client paid for expecting the job done right. Next thing you know YOU forgot a castle nut pin or couldn’t be bothered to check torque and all of a sudden their child has no parents alive. Well done you though *claps*
I know what he's saying.
Soynds great but the only places that pay flat rate dont have work and the only places that pay hourly have all the work and the hourly is low.

how well was his car running before the engine blew up
@@Sammyb_rcwh I the hell is he? would be a better question.
Hey seamless, great vid thanks for the inspiration👍🏼 Can we get a video on can bus network systems? Would be cool to see your perspective on this Happy Saturday enjoy your weekend!
Glad you enjoyed this week's episode. CAN bus is definitely something we should cover on the channel. I would love to simplify the systems to make diagnoses easier.
i like what your selling the card board for instance lay new water pump on cardboard maker the holes its safer for me when your working on more than one car . then you know were the bolts go or send it to a helper if you cant finish the job or say you quit a shop and walk out the next person can put it back together
It is one of our favorite hacks to make the job easier and a seamless repair. Do you have any tips that could help with becoming not efficient on the job?
It’s true. When David fought Goliath, everyone doubted and thought he was doing a terrible mistake. David knew his identity in God and therefore it was the Lord who sent him to fight Goliath. One of the greatest things that a person can be is self aware in what they choose to be involved in.
What do you think is good pay? My opinion is there is no such thing working as an employee.
I know I’m butting in haha but, I think good pay is to be content with your wages whether they be low or high. A labourer is worthy of his wage, therefore I agree with seamless on this one. People see your worth and often times we are either too selfish or too selfless. A lot of people complain about wages at my job but I honestly don’t understand why they complain if they don’t put the effort in. Its a shame how common the worry for money is, the fact that you’re still here and able to buy food, let alone tools and other luxuries is a huge privilege in itself.
I’d love to see your project videos for 2 reasons, 1, I’m kinda jumping in the middle of your project story so to start on a setback would be really great for new viewers 2, I’m wondering on investing in a project car myself and seeing your ideology behind creating one would be great. Again, peace and blessings to you mate enjoy your weeks ahead
Hey seamless. I want to Thankyou for being one of the people inspiring me to become excellent in my profession. I’ve only known about your channel maybe 2ish months but I want to stick by and see how you’re getting on. Thanks for the videos you’ve made, I’ve been able to do some amazing things at the garage with the help and motivation through the bible and also with your mindset. I hope you have a blessed year and that you continue to be motivated to upload your content. Even if 1 person benefits from your content, don’t stop! I absolutely love the scripture. Thank you so much for the kind words. If I can help one person to excel in their career, then I will have succeeded. Keep pushing for progress and remain a student to your game throughout your life. Doing this will help you stay ahead in your field of work. Sounds like you ain’t making enough money otherwise you wouldn’t be hating. Maybe you need to dip out and find a new career. Let people do what they want, you can’t control their future bud. Only difference they have from you is no debt from school lol
There is no hate from this side. I make a wonderful living doing what I love. Repairing and building vehicles and teaching others to do the same. There is a different level of quality when your craft is your passion.
The belt did not stretch, the cams move a little from the tension of the valve springs, you would had to remove the valve cover and clock the cams to line up the dowels with the gears to pop it on
Right. It was just an experiment. I've done that method on other T- belt engines. I just wanted to see if it would work on this one.
I’ve been learning mechanics since I was 17, from a non professional or systematic point of view, I’ve self taught myself to weld, dismantle and build engines gearboxes and do wiring. I’ve only recently learned about TH-cam and google and it’s leaning properties. now I’m 21 and I just got employed into an independent garage with so many regulations and I’m trying my best to catch up to the level of a certified mechanic. You’re helping me a lot. People like you is what makes being passionate about something, a pleasure and I want to Thankyou from the bottom of my heart. I’ll be praying for you, if you haven’t encountered the love in Jesus Christ, that you’d find it and become someone truly special in this world. God bless you man, love from UK
Keep on learning and growing. There is always something to learn in this craft. It's great to see others passionate about the automotive field. We've got plenty of content based around perfecting your craft as a mechanic on the way. We appreciate the kind words and are glad that you find our videos useful. Are there any topics that you would like to see discussed or questions answered?
@@seamlessgarage5830 since I’m new to the more professional side of mechanics, I’m going to keep looking around your videos and some videos of other channels. If I have a question I will definitely come and ask you, thank you for responding i really appreciate that. Have a blessed Monday and a blessed week man. Wishing you a fantastic week👍🏼
Thankyou!
A master mechanic ? you failed to measure the oil pump gear clearance to see if it was in spec, then knocked out the balance shaft bearings with a socket & fitted the new ones the same way. Making metal shards as you hit them in. Just purchase the balance shaft Mitsubishi tool & do it professionally
A special tool is not required for this modification. No metal debris was created during the process. Checking the gear clearance wasn't necessary as I wasn't introducing new components to the assembly. Furthermore, when you have been doing this for as long as I have, you have a good feel for what's right and wrong. Experience makes all the difference.
This is kinda sad after seeing what I saw today.
What did you see?
