Well go on change the date, see if it fixes everything straight away, if not, maybe it is not required to change it.
Dont like Australia Day, Fine. Thats your right Personelly I DONT CARE, we all Australians. It does not matter who arrived first, we are all immigrants. And if I remeber correctly Australia was discoved about 1606 by the Dutch, Then again the is another claim from some Chinese admiral in 1422. Going back even futher, The first humans likely arrived when Australia was part of the Sahul continent, connected to New Guinea by a land bridge. Does not really change much, So as I said at the start, It does not matter who got here first, We are all migrated to Australia and humans have been mistreating each other for thouands of years. What makes anybody special !
Happy New Year and Happy Australia Month everyone. 1st January 2025 to 31st January 2025 and every year following will be celebrated as Australia Month. 26th January will be a Public Holiday within that month and all Australians and invited guests will enjoy an extra-special day of remembering and appreciating what the First Real Australians (not those sitting in dirt) did. The celebrations will commence with a Welcome to Country Proclamation: Welcome to my country. I'd like to acknowledge the early pioneers who came to this country over two hundred years ago and developed an almost uninhabitable land by establishing farms, roads, schools, hospitals, towns and cities, railways, ports and harbours, universities, health clinics, telecommunications, factories and industries, warm (or cool) comfortable homes, shopping centres, a reliable abundant food supply, libraries, clean water, electricity and gas, airlines, the mining industry ... the list goes on. Welcome to my country. After that, it's party, party and party.
an unbiased documentary told by ai
I hated the Background Music, but loved the history.
8:25 there was NO 'nation'
NO NO NO it does not matter what 'date ' it is. Say we changed it to the 7th August they would still be out protesting and saying the same exact things they say about it now just on a different date .
Here we go again......blah blah blah
A big portion of Australia voted no to all of this stuff eg 80 percent voted NO.
@@craigsinclair-wood2684 That could be because the native population is just 3.8% of Australia's total population
NO.!!!.

Federation Day would be more relevant. We stood on our own that day.
AI voice over done it for me, please use a real voice such as Jack Thompsn
Why is there a Batman Park in Melbourne? Batman Park - Wikipedia The park was established in 1982 through the conversion of a disused freight train rail yard and was named after one of the founders of Melbourne, John Batman with historical associations as a landing place of the Schooner Rebecca and nearby settlement at Batman's Hill.
Why is it called Batman Ave? However, on 6 June 1999 the Premier of Victoria announced that the new thoroughfare would be known as Batman Avenue in order to retain its obvious significant historical association with John Batman (1801 -1839), thereby "preserving the name of one of Melbourne's pioneers."
We cant deny the fact that John Batman is the founder of Melbourne
The first weslyan church you spoke of my grandparents were the only couple to be married in that church. Mansfield. Growing up in Daylesford it was like a one horse town. It didn't start becoming so overcrowded with visitors until 1980s. I can remember there was only a handful of cars in the median strip at any given time until the celebrations where a parade was held usually NYE. I even attended the little Musk creek school one year. I loved it back then but I don't like the crowds so its lost its magic for me. Great Video very informative.
Very interesting
AI voice mispronunciation made me stop watching
Sorry for that
LOL at the "rich civilization that flourished here before the Europeans".
only complaint is the pronunciation of some place names
The river is called Birrarung Marr, the waterfall at ‘enterprise park’ was called Yarra yarra, and misnamed as the river due to Batman not understanding the aboriginal people correctly
@@JasondenHollander-qj5hp No. Birrarung was the aboriginal name of Yarra. Marr means edge or bank ,so Birrarung Marr means the banks of Yarra. Yarra Yarra means waterfall. John Helder Wedge named it. The meaning of Birrarung is River of Mists
You can't claim to discover something or a place that is already inhabited by human beings.
It is correct to say, '' The first European to discover''
@@UntoldStoriesofAustralia I would say, "The first European arrival"
Batman Avenue is in Melbourne and runs along the Yarra River and was named in honour of John Batman.
I attended Westall High School years later and there was always a fear that was circulated about going to "the Grange" - the bushland where the craft had landed. All kinds of stories about this bushland persisted, but it was a shortcut home so when we were brave enough, we always ran through very quickly...scary place. It's a shame you are using AI images and narration which is not pronouncing Westall correctly, it's distracting.
@@helenab8614 Thank you for the feedback.
Saw this come up on TH-cam & was immediately attracted, BUT, very disappointed in the AI narration. Mispronunciations of place names (should have been checked before being uploaded) could have been avoided if asking a local to edit. The pauses & phrasing in reading were inappropriate quite often, which made listening confusing. Don't be afraid to ask the real locals to vet first & your comments will improve exponentially. Very disappointed that you entirely omitted (my hero) Matthew Flinders & Lt. Linley from your story. They came ashore in 1802 in Port Phillip (Bay) at virtually the end of my street in Mornington. Pretty significant, I would have thought! Keep trying; you can only improve.
Would have been heaps better with real voice over , AI voiceovers are annoying .
Clayton has it's own Hadron collider. True
Who translated the "Batman Treaty" between the English and the locals?
@@campcreekhill8933 Buckley
I was in one of the two boarding houses at St Peter's College, Adelaide, in the late 1980s. Andrew Greenwood was for a time the house master of my boarding house. While he has now passed on, I can say that having literally lived in this proximity for a couple of years, he was completely rational, and a level headed, and highly educated man. He never spoke of the incident at that time. I give his account of the incident 100% credibility.
The minute he mentions men in black he loses all credibility. Also it is super-unlikely that anyone in the 1960's took a camera to school.
I was very much looking forward to this until it started
Absolute rubbish There are NO UFOs
Yes i believe that is was a UFO .But the response by the Authorities was a Typical Government cover up that the UFO DID NOT EXIST . How can you not believe when so many school children all at once saw it with their own eyes at the school .?
Great post
I live right next to the Westall UFO incident, so I did research on this, and found it was debunked decades ago, it was just a weather balloon that was released from Laverton that morning and it went off course due to the weather that day.
Only lasted a few minutes with the AI voiceover sadly
2:40 They're aeroplanes, not "airplanes"!!! This isn't America, where they get every tenth word wrong! 4:42 It's now clear they used computer-generated narration. It's a "row" the same as the "o" in "owe". 8:26 If it's a craft in the air, then it is an air-craft! That doesn't mean it was necessarily made by humans, but it's still an aircraft. 8:30 "The object had no window, no engines..." How would they know? We have one way mirrors that allow people to view from one side to the other, but only in one direction. Just because it wasn't noisy and it didn't have a visible exhaust system, doesn't mean it didn't have an engine. It just means the propulsion system is unknown.
And a tip, get rid of the annoying music!
many videos on TH-cam are very low budget, done for no payment. Cut them some slack
I’m sure you can do better without the stupid Ai voice, besides that thumbs up 👍
That story is more believable than the invisible man in the sky story.
Thank you for this presentation. History is a fascinating subject, even more so about a place that one lives in.
The AI voice over is a huge mistake and there is some confusion in chronology, but otherwise this is interesting and could be useful for those who know nothing of the history of the city.
I cannot stand the A.I. voice overs. Grinding how it creates the sound for "Bass".
Ai voice is terrible, makes the video unwatchable
Sorry for that
I try to send you another UFO photograph over the Pascoe vale primary school on GAFFNEY ST. heading towards the Essendon airport. Following east west landing corridor. The picture was on Google maps us well but it has been removed. I have those photos ( two of them) because the object was moving very fast. My self I am a person involved in the aerospace industry from more than 50 years. And is nothing that I haven’t done on an aircraft ( design build maintain and flight) my last position was as Weapons training analyst for the RAAF. I will say with great confidence that it was not a conventional aircraft or a weather balloon.
I remember the 9/7/2016 I was driving home from work it was at 3.15 am in the morning , I just came around the the roundabout past the Honda building at telermarine airport my car stopped the instruments in the car went nuts and hovering above was a ufo with colour lights I just froze. To this day I don’t know how long I was on that road but I do believe in ufo
Batmania 😂😂😂
Punt Road hill is sometimes referred to as Batman hill though I don't believe it is the original location which was near Spencer Street. The MCG is on Batman Avenue which may explain the confusion. There are still lots of things called Batman in Melbourne.
The Westall incident is on par with the Zimbabwe school UFO incident in 1994. Both totally believable.
Another encounter very similar to Westall is The Crestview Elementary School in Miami, Florida. But both encounters happened on the same day 6 April, one year apart. Westhall happened on the 6th April 1966, Crestview happened on the 6th April 1967.
@@davidhabert yeah, both happening on the same date one year apart is more than a coincidence in my book. We'll have to take note of the next School UFO encounter, and see if it falls on the 6th April ?..
@@eagle1579 I would totally agree that is more than just coincidence. But did you know that there was another UFO sighting which involved school children. This encounter happened on the 17th February 1977 in the village of Broad Haven, Wales, UK. Even though this encounter happened over 40 years ago, just like in Westhall. Those school kids never changed their story to this day. Quite recently there was a TV program which was called *Paranormal: The Village That Saw Aliens* on the BBC. It's worth looking at if you can get the chance to do so. I'm from the UK and this incident is very well known.
@@davidhabert yeah, I've seen the Broawater UFO incident on Encounters, a Netflix production. Another very compelling School sighting. These sort of sightings carry more weight of evidence than other mass sightings. With the recent surge in UFO sightings throughout the world, I really think something big isn't to far away from total UFO disclosure.
It happened . I saw a. u f o. around about the same time .only it was at night about 10 pm .on my Dad & Mum farm . at a place called Tiynong north. Wich is a winery 🍷
Melbourne in the 1830's would have looked like Warrandyte State Park today in Fawkner and Batman's times.
More on the walk between Black Flat Reserve and Jumping Creek Reserve along the river where you're likely to experience what Melbourne could have looked like in that period if you ignore any invasive foliage and homes by the banks of the Yarra River.
There are two things that will get a public servant to speak up, retirement and a superannuation cheque.
Just another cover-up, that's what happened.
That's why it was given the nickname of Australia's Roswell.
