Man, when they did the OG season and Remix now it really felt different. Like chapter 5 really felt like a soulless game

First time i dropped onto the ch5 s1 map and saw the realistic lighting and symmetrical buildings i was genuinely turned off. It didn't look like fortnite, it looked like cod.

To be fair, if Fortnite had stayed the way it was, it would’ve died out over not progressing. Yeah I miss the OG days but I understand economically why it had to change. Just another reason to get hyped for the return of OG

I remember my first drop.. just to the right of anarchy acres in one of those two story houses and picking up a green burst, not knowing it was a burst and getting destroyed by someone with a tac shotgun 😓

I agree with all this, the addition of bullet drop and travel was another thing on top, i mean, i like to be able to move and shoot instead of standing still to shoot and while doing so trying to shoot one bullet at a time to maintain the accuracy, now if i play (i almost never play since a very long time, i just launch the game sometimes, do my daily quest of STW to farm V-bucks, look if there is something cool in the item shop (usually not, its full of dogshit colabs with famous people instead of videogame characters) buy something if im interested, waiting to see another barefoot female character to buy and hope they do a more realistic feet, in this case i do want more realism, i hate 2 blocks for feet, 1sr block = 4 toes, 2nd block = big toe >:/ i want "5 blocks", you know what i mean, anyway, most of the shop is always the same for days and just a little portion of it changes everyday, some cool skins are either blocked by a old battle pass or inside the item shop with no way to know when will it be available. And dont forget the most important part of all these changes, the FPS, poor FPS i miss them so much, before, in the OG fortnite having 144 fps 1080p was easy (with max graphics) now its impossible to have them like rocks even on low graphics, im running a 3080ti i9 9900K i know my CPU is kinda old but should keep up easily, i cannot change it without changing the motherboard so im not going to, in if i do eventually i will switch to AMD, i dont give a fuck about intel, i have a friend with an older pc than mine, much older and he doesnt have to change the motherboard to upgrade his CPU, just because he used AMD. I recommend to everyone to use AMD instead of INTEL, not necessary to use AMD graphics tho, NVIDIA is better but more expensive, i prefer NVIDIA, also has better AI than AMD for frame generation, and DLSS.

Heres to the next chapter that may improve on these issues.

the vibe kf fortnite too, the old shading looked like the fog would flow in, and night time would always look cool because everything glowed so much. the old zombie apocalypse vibe is gone too. there used to be random camps set up, windows would be broken, etc. just the old graphics and atmosphere just had its own feeling. when i remeber it i remeber wesson 6 mostly, when it was always dark. i feel like i’m in a dark room with my brother and his friends some time in october and hopping on fortnite. i love how at night it was all purple

recently i fell out of love with fortnite, and i got bored of it. i would only have fun the first week of every new season. and recently i came to the same revelation this video talks about; it's the design choices. it's so much less whimsical now, the map being bland and realistic, and every battlepass there's usually just one skin i like, and it's always the meme skins (maybe because they're more reminiscent of older designs) but even now they're getting boring, with the meme skin of this battlepass being peely... as wolverine.

I love the Chapter 5 new graphics. Amazing new and detailed models for skins. It elevates the game to meet new standards. Fortnite should use all its resources to make a complete experience. Question creative decisions, not technical advances.

I miss the old art style and aesthetic the game had, but mainly the sound effects, man they were so cartoonish and I loved them so much, but sad to see them go and be changed into something that isn't realistic

I used to play until me and my friend got insta built up to and killed by a purple shotgun then realized, it’s not worth the amount of rage I feel for people like that and quit. Now I’m happier and found games I actually enjoy like HardSpace ShipBreaker, or H3VR, or even Ravenfield.

This is EXACTLY why I only play Save the World.

I play STW so I basically see the old Fortnite. Only problem is those damn wolves, dinos and hogs.

it looks the same to me. playing since OG s2. same game, same feelings, same gameplay (except the fact that i change from battleroyal to zero build)

i think that chapter 2 s1 and s2 were good in their own way but then after that Fortnite became sellouts and used any opportunities they could to collab with some random tv show or game to get a quick cash grab from fans of that specific game. Also I feel like there should just be one event where the map gets sent back to the OG seasons and its the only game mode. like just retire Fortnite or give the people what they want because sooner or later Fortnite will actually be dead.

At least Save the World is still the same...

Hopefully when chapter 1 season 1 comes back on December 6th they'll finally learn their lesson and brink back some of old fortnite. Most likely not gonna happen though knowing epic games
