Chill Star Citizen Gameplay and Music by Space Banana 3000
Star Citizen 3.24 - Hauling & Trading is kind of meh BUT...
Fellow space trucking citizens, in Star Citizen 3.24 we’ve been robbed and now or hyper realistic method of loading an entire cargo ship with just a single press of a button is now replaced by freight elevators that make us work hard for our money. What a Scam! What does this mean to us regarding commodity trading? What are these all new cargo missions all about? Is it good? Well, nah, but we’ll find out together why that is. Overall we encounter a pretty much a mixed bag, but maybe, some time in future we’ll get the real immersion that the screenshots and trailers promise. Eventually. One Day. Soon. Ish.

มุมมอง 13K8 หลายเดือนก่อน
Hello people of the Verse. Just a very quick update on how cargo trading goes in Star Citizen 3.23 so far. In Short: Not so good. A specific bug concerning the cargo grid makes regular trading kind of impossible, while others exploit this to make millions. Other than that, trading isn’t as peaceful as before. 0:00 Intro and what I had initially planned 0:55 Cargo Grid Bug 2:27 Gameplay changes ...

Hello people of the Verse, Space Banana 3000 here with another video! I was curious as to how beneficial the Salvage Loop is currently in the game if you limit yourself to the Drake Vulture. And: Is it actually chill? Not so much for me and my play style, but yeah, you can grind some cash if you're somewhat low on budget. With a price tag of just 1.2M aUEC, the Drake Vulture is available to buy...

Hello people of the Verse, Space Banana 3000 here with my first video! I'm giving a quick overview as to wich trade routes I'm currently playing in Star Citizen (3.22), whilst I mostly other stuff like work or dishes. My ROC don't want to chance the mod to extraction... what I have to do?
They changed the default key binding, it is Left Alt + Left mouse Button now to Switch Modes, as far as I remember
Short, to the point and loaded with great information. o7
I use to love trading but honestly. after spending an hour manually loading my ship for 80k profit, i won't be doing that for a while!
I feel you completely!
Same I used to make 450k in 20 mins now I am stopping space trucking.
wait no dude you can press alt + h to take helmet off and press it again to put it on!!!! 🎉
there is a point where realism isnt worth sacrificing player enjoyment
Exactly! And that enjoyment falls kinda short right now on so many ends
I enjoy loading my cargohold, it's relaxing but it definitively needs some QoL
@@targard.quantumfrack6854 me too it just feels so incredibly tedious especially with the handheld tractor nerfs, thankfully my friend said atls is finally available in game?? not sure i havent checked.
That helmet thing you saying that you have to drop it No you dont, stop spreading miss information U press “alt H” and it works As a TH-camr make sure to check the game fully before making videos and telling about how annoying things are ❤️
Thanks for the info about that! I'm just here to share my experiences with the game, That's why I asked if you had better options and it seems you do! <3
So glad alt H actually works now too.
Yeah sorry if it sounded like I was angry. We all know SC isnt a real” game yet but have to make sure we don’t tell people smth that’s not true You as a content creator need to be more thorough with your research of the bugs, and stuff so people get the right idea No matter what it was a chill video hope to see more from you 👍🏼 Your honest and calm answer gained you a subscriber❤️
@@unknowngreen7640 Thanks mate! Appreciate that! Yeah, I agree, still learning and trying to improve.
Which was the point, where you decided to stop hauling? 😶🌫
This was the point where I actually started hauling 😂
@@mrsasquatch4828 Well that's fair enough! :D
I did the missions a couple of times, but from the day it was introduced I knew it would be a pain to move all those boxes. So I stopped moving boxes and went back to cargo hauling the old way. I make a lot more money that way anyway.
I thought CIG learned their lesson when I saw 40 missions available, that there'd be so much variety in cargo size, destination, difficulty and payout. Nope. Just 40 missions paying between 9k and 14k with either 8-12 SCU or 80-90SCU. Sometimes with two destinations, mostly not, and payout doesn't reflect this heavier cargo or double destination. Cool. And I have to do a million contracts to get my rep up to see what comes next Cool.
Well, for only $40 you can buy the ATLS, that makes that makes you progress that million mindless missions a lot faster while still being! 🤡 I'm seriously mad. Like the entire Community I guess... You'd hope they learn, but what they learned is they can actually perform such BS and there will be people out there defending that and buy whatever you throw at them. I doubt I'll continue the grind myself for now, when there's a literal pay-to-win option that's "totally not a cash grab." They shot their own foot times before, but this one hit their entire leg.
Are those routes still valid?
Yeah, should be fine on live. I haven't played PTU yet, so I can't say anything about 3.24 so far... However be careful about hostile (npc) encounters, as they increased quite abit
So is this the gameplay? You're buying loads of RMC from pickers field (or the like) and go sell it Area18 and ther places?
Well you can still try, piracy seems to have increased quite a bit since then and those places are a lot busier since the release of this video. I'd say, only take the risk if you're entirely sure that you're safe and willing to take the chances, you're losing quite some money if you get attacked.
@@SPACEBANANA3000- Aye, I started testing a few sites with just little or no cargo...often there is at least one scumbag hiding in the piles of trash, like Gollum.
Awesome video man this has helped me a ton as a new player!! Really well organized video and easy to follow. You explained it super well and concisely
Thank you so much, glad you enjoy! More content coming when 3.24 goes live! :)
This is another amazing video of exploration with great suggestions on how to get the most experience out of doing it. Thanks
Thank you so much! <3
Soooo much of the game is missed by people just focusing on making aUEC as fast as possible. Nice vid mate. I have had in the past a box delivery to a roof on one of the Ice Breaker buildings, but yes its underutilized.
How beautiful that planet is....
Nice video. 1 tip from me. I always take a backpack in with me and fill it with rocks (hadanite) I often go to Abardeen so i have to use the Pembroke suit and the Pembroke backpack. That gives me 120scu in the backpack. So if you are unlucky and the game or client crash, you still get a little out of it.
That's actually a very good tip!
Thank you for comparing the aUEC per hour at the end. I've been looking for that kind of info recently and it's really helpful
"call atc as late as possible, because... Star Citizen 🗿"
Sorry but you'r not even explaining how to adjust the scanner . IT 90% of the job.
That's true, honestly! Thank you for the feedback, I'll consider this and I'll take better care in future videos!
super guide, thank you !
Thank you!
Sadly with 3.23 the storing and then selling the cargo of the stored ship kind of duplicates the cargo and to remove that you'd have to claim your ship or sell it from a non stored state. Which is rather annoying. Really annoying -_- So its other stuff for me than RMC sadly, I don't know any way to land my ship at Area18 without it getting stored. If anyone knows I'm all ears
It's bugged for every commodity unfortunately... And selling RMC or basically any other stuff is a real pain, since there's no demand for so many things, since those idiots keep exploiting the bug ...
Every time they push back cargo it basically invalidates the patch.
It does... Most anticipated thing for 3.23 and all we got is bugs and crashes
worst experience since ever. Did Roc mining every patch since it is possible. But wtf... right now I am looking since meanwhile 2 1/2 hours on Aberdeen and Arial for ROC rocks... not even one patch found till now... every low signature is a single Prospector/Mole rock, but no patches so far...
Where are you flying? I've always had the biggest success near mountains so far
Ive had the unrecognised cargo grid but multiple times now. I have two fighters and a cargo ship. I like to use the fighters to get starting money to do cargo, then upgrade everything and go back to mainly fighting. Howver this patch every time ive taken my cargo ship out its resulted in being blasted by players thinking im duping or my ship bugging and being unable to sell cargo. Its really put me off of playing until they fix the cargo grids.
Hopefully that's coming with 3.23.2 soon,
What's your experience with ROC Mining?
Four Weeks since 3.23 release update: - Is the cargo grid bug patched? Yeah, it's been "hotfixed" since yesterday! Two Weeks since 3.23 release update: - Is the cargo grid bug patched? No, but their statement reads: "Yes, there is a fix internally. The fix will go out as soon as its ready" - Can you avoid the cargo grid bug? Kind of, apparently not storing your ship seems to not trigger the bug. Risky, but apparently the only way. - Are people exploiting the dupe-issue? Hell yes, at times you can't sell anything, especially RMC. - Would you recommend "regular" trading right now? Absolutely not.
I fixed the grid bug by not putting my C2 away at CRUL5, visiting the admin terminal, then going back and storing my ship. When I went back to the admin terminal the second time, my grid was empty. Mind you, this is not great data as I only acheived this one time but, it did work.
Yeah, not storing before seems to be the key! Risky, but kinda works
For the bugged cargo bug was it there after a log and relog? I'm thinking in order to avoid the bug it may be possible to sell cargo then log out and relog on your ship before buying more cargo
Yeah, it is, sadly. Even having a day in between your sessions and switching servers didn't help, Claiming seems to be the only way to temporarily fix this.
@@SPACEBANANA3000- Ah, gotcha. Well.. here's hopes they can fix it someday 😅
Im new to the game. For me personally trading is really bad, tried to sell stuff the terminal rejected me, went back to ship. Cargo dissappeared. Some people in global said i only have invisible cargo bug, but after i tried to land my ship 2nd time, my ship insta blown up in mid air losing all cargo. Or doing package mission and cannot put down package, sticks to hand, cant complete quest. I like the game even tho is a buggy mess, ill keep trying maybe it justva me problem. 😅
Hahah I thought so too, that this would be a me-problem! But after getting all the resonance on this video, I'ts clear the update is veeeery messed up! You really gotta try to love this game, even though it's sometimes doing everything in its might to keep you away from having fun :D
i havent experienced a single issue but i have onnly been hauling WiDow, E'Tam & Neon idk if that makes a difference?
Where did you sell? Brio's etc? The issue seems to be related to storing your ship, you probably don't do that when running drugs, right?
@@SPACEBANANA3000- yeah i dont store it i just do multiple runs at a time. Usually pack it full of E'tam, WiDoW & Neon at Outpost 54, Necropolis & Ravens Roost before heading to Devlins at microTech. Afterwards i warp to Orphanage in Arccorp and NT-999-XX, Neon Waste Facility & Jumptown on Daymar and then back to Devlins rinse & repeat. On average make ab 6-800k profit on 64SCU
Lol, just lost 400k doing the Gold trade route on Microtech. Bought for 1 mio, then sold, only to notice I only got 600k back
I've got the grid bug on every ship. Unfortunately it seems like the only way to clear the grids are claiming the ship after every full load. I have accidentally sold the same load multiple times but I haven't been able to replicate the bug like others have recently at Lorville.
So sad, this patch is out and going like this for almost two weeks now.
I dont even play much during fleet week. too many bugs. Most of the crap just gets wiped after anyway. I just use fleet week to figure out what kinda ships I want to melt and keep for that half of the year. I honestly wish they wiped the game once a year until it came out.
I completely understand you!
I think a lot of problems are server based and not a real code bug, some might but mostly its server related, slow server response time creates lots and lots of issues. It is clearly that when server meshing is in and a working state. We can probably spot real bugs much easier.
I fixed the bigger cargo issue by not storing my ship and then selling, it gets rid of the cargo and you get the full aUEC amount of the cargo
Heard, this works, but is it reliable? I've landed ships in Hangars before and when checking the ASOP, they went "unknown" so the TDD wouldn't find it. Didn't happen very often, but still every now and then.
Thanks for the video :) take care.
Nice. It seems like SC finally starts to shape to be the game they promised. If you want to trade, you will need to he acompanied by "guards", if you want to pirate, you need to fight those guards and team up, aso. Maybe, in a year or two, SC will finally be a real game. :-) 3.23 certainly is promising. 4.0 will bring along a lot of issues, as SM will touch on nearly every system. 4.1 will likely be a lot of adjusting and fixing. So I assume mid to late 2025 gameplaymerges and real loops will start to be trickling in.
Yes, that's definitely what's coming more and more. They're saying that crew team play is becoming more important and solo players are going to have a way harder time. The level of hostility will eventually be balanced, I'm not saying the increase for 3.23 is bad, but it's simply different than what we're used to solo space truckers.
I just want to salvage with my vulture and be able to sell RMC without TDDs having no demand because of some traders selling full loads of RMC twice.
Yeah and since they apparently take ages to fix this issue, the entire economy is already off to a bad start
A friend lost 1.7 million in rmc because of this bug. Salvage and trade are very risky and annoying. Good video.
Thank you, yeah indeed, probably best to avoid until fixed
like what else you trade than RMC? nothing is profitable
Gold, Beryl, Laranite, Diamonds... not as good as RMC obviously but pre 3.23 pretty chilled
Thanks for the update! NPCs raiding safe-zone ground stations is really very annoying.
Yesterday I bought cargo twice where it didn't put it anyway in my shop but took my money. Cargo hauling is just broken atm....
yeah, hopefully some fix coming soon
Was going to do a zero to hero with delivery/ trading only this patch. After grinding out delivery missions enough to rent a freelancer I realized all the fun that comes with this broken patch for trading :/
I feel ya! I was hoping to keep going with chill game loops like trading / salvaging / mining.. but everything that requires to load a ship with cargo is kinda messy
New cargo load should be in 3.23.0 but they delayed, so many bug appers because of it
the cargo bug only happens if the ship is stored away while selling the cargo. don't happen if the ship is in hangar or anywhere else
Oh that's interesting... I've stored pretty much all the time during my testing, except for once or twice at NB, where I landed directly at the commons. Can't remember if it happened there as well or not, probably not. Either way, hopefully this gets fixed, cause not storing the ship isn't a solution, considering how many ships I've landed in a hangar went to an "unknown" state when not storing.
I keep losing my cargo I can buy it and it goes into my ship. When I land and want to sell the cargo is gone! Not invisible but gone. :-(
yeah, it's bugged as hell, best to avoid this until it's patched :(
@@SPACEBANANA3000- Indeed. Patch and then looking forward to have hauling missions be the real space trucker.
Business as usual then
unfortunately yes...
Have they said how they're going to handle loading cargo at outposts after next patch?
They said, autoloading is going to be an option for places that don't have hangars. Interestingly, they said, outposts are not going to be the place to trade large volumes any longer... For Details check the Hangers Q&A at around 48 minutes: th-cam.com/video/YVKJUBs0UY8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=cxDf8W68lfqNG5MI&t=2895
@@SPACEBANANA3000- Awesome, ty so much!
Standard CiG fare: Add new things for the current update, break everything else.
Almost like it is a game in development or something.
@@JohnVanderbeck nah, look even the indie dev one man op-developed game doesn't break EVERYTHING over and over again for 12 FCKING years!
buggy cargo grid means I have to transfer RMC from a Vulture to another shop to sell everytime. it's very annoying and time consuming
I wanted to give salvaging a proper try, but all the stories I hear are pretty bad, including yours. :( I just hope this gets a proper update soon
Hull-C does not transfer cargo from or to the station
So bad right now in so many aspects... Hopefully we'll get a fix soon
To make matters worse with autoland borked even docking the Hull-C is a PITA
nice
