What sold when your eBay store is on sale
They're really up front about all of this. Their Express boxes say Express all over them. The worst thing about UPS is not the same thing as the worst thing about FedEx anyway.
Couldn’t agree with your more sir
I would assume a multi billion dollar company promotes sales based on a complex algorithm that guarantees them the most money. (Never going to be perfect of course but im sure what they do for themselves is successful) You need to use that to your advantage and schedule listings accordingly. Use their algorithm to your own advantage. Promoted listings i would only do when you have very good statistics of your own store and the particular items you sell. Then try promoted and see if it works for you. Conpare your statistics over a 3 month period and see if its worth it. Ebay remains an absolute juggernaut of a platform worldwide and ive bitched and moaned myself but i have nearly a 1k sales now and i think that you have to learn and adapt to the positives of ebay and you will be successful. If your not selling items you are doing something wrong its as simple as that. If your focused, manage your time well and use ebays platform the way ebay likes you to use it you will make money and you will be successful on there. But it is not easy
I’ve been selling on eBay since 05 and it’s not the algorithm it’s the economy…. Everyone is spending all their money at the grocery store and other cost of living things that have gone wayyyyy up in the last few years.
I list items every day. Almost always. 3-5 per day and I usually have the drafts ready ahead of time. Some weeks I make $75, some weeks I clear $400-$600. The algorithm is a hazy mystery. I’ve found having a few “anchor items” helps. These are items that bring lots of viewers, watchers, offers or all 3. Can literally be anything but it needs high sell through rate, such as a limited edition CD or DVD. If you have the only one available then you set the price and harness the viewers towards your algorithm. Keep at it mate! Romans 8:28

Here's a tip... DON'T USE USPS.... it's a government agency do you expect anything less?
Just use UPS or fedex. Go ahead and pay more 😂
You dropped off at third party business…you want them scanned go to post office
Great work on your weight loss. Health is our wealth, without it we have nothing.
You are wrong on the part of "it does not matter how many packages you drop". If you drop three or five they will be scanned, but you need to create a manifest when you have several packages. Stop whining, it is not a scam, it is simply that you are too lazy to create a manifest. Otherwise, it will be scanned at the processing plant.
Just remember Dejoy caused all this! Someone that had no reason to be put into that roll with no experience. More corporate greed. Why I use UPS or FedEx the most.
9:02 Thinking about tomorrow. Yesterday's gone, yesterday's gone
Wah wah wah
Some people, are lazy & do less as possible. Know your rights!
I got fired from a job for saying that! 😮 😂😂😂😂😂. I walked out singing!
If you don't get a scan receipt when you drop it off, then there's no proof you dropped it off.
The USPS in roopville is the most evil post office on the planet
As a retired clerk, definitely have a clerk scan your packages. You can’t prove you actually dropped them off if you don’t have an SSA (Sales and Service Associate) receipt.
Try sending packages registered mail. Losing registered mail is one of the few things a USPS employee can be fired for, and the post office staff will do everything in their power to dissuade you from using registered mail.
Usps is terrible, glad i have limited business with them. This week my package was in the neighbors box, the other package said delivered. It was delivered for real the next day
Wouldn't you agree, Mr. Flips, that making false accusations is "un-Christian," that is, against the basic morality that most people know they are to follow for everyone's benefit? Your making up stuff against our government undermines factual, productive criticism of our government and works against the morale of government workers. Who raised you to attract attention this way? The accuracy of my perspective on this video of yours is given validation by you taking your one personal experience with one post office and then maligning the entire U.S. postal service. Everyone gets to vote. Everyone gets to comment. But show some humility given your low level of understanding and willingness to make rank accusations.
Mail carrier here. We’re all required to scan packages or we get in trouble, if they’re not scanned when you drop your packages off, it’s because there’s no need to scan that package until it gets to the distribution center that night. All packages and letters are required to leave the local post office and make it to the distribution center by that night, last truck usually leaves the po at 6:30 to. 8:30 depending on the installation, long after the main customer portals are closed and the blue boxes are picked up. There’s no real need to scan a package at the local post office because all packages are placed in a bin and are then rolled to the center to determine where they go. Drivers do not scan any packages, only clerks and carriers . Useless video to be honest with you, if it’s not scanned at the post office,it’s scanned somewhere by that night when it’s unloaded and put on a conveyor belt
Not always ! I had an eBay package never scan til it was out for delivery 5 days later? How is it not scanned at the dock or distribution center?and eBay was trying to give me a negative strike for not mailing it within 1 day. Plus the customer was asking for a refund ! I drop all my packages off at the post office now and they scan them all before leaving the building , plus if the carriers aren’t scanning the packages when taking them from customer or mail box there’s no proof you mailed it and they literally could take any package they want . It used to be they had to scan them when they accepted a package .
@@maximussilverstacker3928 not every label is scannable, sometimes there’s inconsistencies in the print of the bar code and packages are to be sorted and routed with human intervention
My Post Office is six miles away and they always scan my packages and give me a receipt. I would just ask for the supervisor if she said she was not "required" to scan. The supervisor would clear it up I would think.
she told me she would call me back to "conferm" that. It has been a week and no ansewer.
that's why i don't mail anything anymore don't trust the post office 😊
As a mail Carrier in Texas.... all packages that come in are scanned by clerks and then put in each Carriers bin for their route. Then scanned again by the Carrier to be put in sections and then scanned again when we drop the packages off. We are required and are supposed to scan each package before we leave it.
That doesn't always happen. I've had registered mail that was only scanned at the post office where it was dropped off. Even though eventually delivered (which took over 30 days due to initially being misdelivered), the packages were not scanned even once after leaving the post office. To this day - years later - the tracking system still shows the packages to be in the original post office.

@@Houstonbeach Why would I lie? What I've stated is the truth. USPS employees are not incapable of doing their job, but many of them are simply too lazy to do what they are supposed to do.
So is your suggestion is to mail packages from a real USPS Post Office? My local PO has a lobby that is open until 10 PM with a kiosk. I usually use it in the evening (after traffic congestion hours). So far, my packages seem to get scanned that evening or in the morning. Is that a standard? Or am I just getting lucky?
Kiosk is great. I get my mail at a place like the UPS Store but cheaper. They DO scan UPS and FED EX stuff before the driver gets there. But there syatem does not interact with USPS system so the driver is Supposed to scan it when they pick it up. But this day was a different driver and they did not do there job. ( I had this problem before there). WhenI called to ask the post master I was told they were busy. so I explained it to the "assistant" and was suspose to get a call bback to confirm. been a week and nO call back.
The USA was founded on Gods laws. But more importantly we need divine morals to elevate change.
But yea, it looks like she switched them.
Anytime I use measurements, I take photos so they can see how I measured. It really helps.
I usually do, don't know what happened
Would you want the opportunity of returning an item you bought from eBay, Walmart, Amazon etc? Buyers remorse is something buisness deal with and as long as the item gets returned the way it is sent why be so dramatic about reselling it?
This is absolutely correct.
I ordered a set of smartwatch chargers off of eBay before, they only sent one charger and it was the wrong one, not even part of what was pictured. When I contacted the seller they wanted me to send the product back to them on my expense and then they would return my money... I went to eBay I got my refund, and I told them I was keeping the charger... I think I threw it in the trash😂
Do you offer free returns? If so, stop it. In fact, just don't offer returns. I sold on Amazon and eBay, never offered free returns, I always required a re-stocking fee along with the customer paying for returns. I was shocked people knew this in advance and still purchased it. On eBay it boldly said "seller will not pay for returns". It's always a crap shoot. But I maybe lost money once on a sale.
The whole which carrier supports which 5G bands can be annoyance to anyone not familiar, of course the big two Google and Apple decided to make one NA model for them now.
"Tough luck sell it yourself" sellers don't belong on eBay. Buyers are paying your bills not sellers... eBay needs more buyers, not sellers that cry over every return. If the buyer can sell it then you as a seller can as well. Returns are a part of business, don't take them personally.
Aside from the locking issue, it *will* work with a *new* T-Mobile SIM. I just went through this with a Verizon phone. But the greater issue is that eBay is a cesspool.
Some people just don't understand the concept of a locked provider phone. They think just because a provider advertises that you can "bring your old phone" to a new service that it means you can take any phone. Nope. It has to be an unlocked phone. The rest simply don't take time to properly read the description. That's why I rarely sell on eBay anymore.
eBay is trash. Always immediately remove money from the bank account associated with your eBay account.
eBay is trash. Stop using it. I sold for 25 years and had a return that was listed as SOLD AS IS. They forced a return. I stopped selling with them. The fees and policy all benefits the buyer. Now I know and can take advantage of it buying on eBay.
Could have been damaged during shipping
I sold a juicer that I tested and it worked. The seller could not have had it for 1 hour before saying it didn't work. I checked the serial number and it was the same. It could be they needed a part from it. I subscribed.
I had a issue like this i just block the person on ebay so that i could never do bussiness with them again and waste time
That garbage is why I quit after 12 years. That counts on your service metrics so they can double screw you.
middle man problems
Many times I sell a functioning item with pictures that it is functioning as for sale for parts because of this. I used to sell lower value items but I do not do it anymore just because of this. It really sucks. Vintage electronics are off the menu as well or for sale for parts because a person will get the item claim its not working but had taken a part out they need that is not obtainable any longer.
I can tell you as a buyer, eBay now HIDES the description on every listing... If I try to find it, it's almost impossible - a small line between massive pictures of different products and links. I can end up presuming there's no description at all.
I started inserting my description as a photo and text, and another photo that says "Please read the description".

Yeah, I look for measurements and such scroll past the tiny little bar numerous times...🤦
So you made it clear that it was for Verizon in the listing. The guy buys it and then figures out that he is not set up for so he sends it back. Does he have to pay for the return shipping or is the seller the one who pays? Bummer if it is the seller.
