Leica Loop | 3D commercial
@LeicaCameraGlobal
I don't own a Leica anymore, but still wanted to do a thing hence blender and CGI. It's the same as filming in the real world, with the one difference. The time you save on filming is in turn spent on rendering/compositing/color correction. Fun stuff.
Btw, I've been doing Blender for 10+ years and lately Houdini as well (VEX, Python, Vellum, FLIP, RBD, the whole lot). I don't plan on leaving either program, in my mind they are complementary. I do prefer Karma XPU renderer though!
Done completely in blender (cycles), openEXR to Resolve color correction.

Why is the FX3 in its ISO-ranges always darker than the GH6? I own both cameras right now and I don't get it. 12800 iso is not beatable by GH6, but I feel like 800 ISO for example let's in more light on GH6 than on the FX3, does anyone know why? The video kind of shows the same result
I'll find a video tomorrow that explains it nicely 👌
Try searching Tony Northrup videos on FF vs Crop equivalency.
awesome!
Thanks man!
I love this lens. I use it on an A7R III (43 MP) and you can't tell the difference to the 35 GM as long as you don't zoom in 5-8x on a big 4K monitor. So basically, IQ is stellar. My 2 wishes for a G2 version of this lens: 1) I would prefer an f2 at least for general shooting. 2) Focus: There are a couple of possible solutions here. For video work, the most annoying is that the focus doesn't really stick or lock on. It is constantly micro-adjusting. This activates the motor and its noise again and again. I think the focus speed isn't really a problem, for photos not at all, and in video I tend to like slower transitions, but it has to be reliable without always readjusting. I don't know what they can do best to find a better AF version, I guess putting a VXD inside instead of the OSD might definitely do the trick but I don't know what that would do to pricing and size. Tamron seems to be the only manufacturer for Sony E out of the big 4 to deliver really trustworthy weather sealing. The gasket on the mount is very solid, and everything else is sealed, too. No problem to use in rain, ice and snow. I wish they would start to port their SP primes to Sony E in 2025.
Thanks for the input, I'll pin the comment. It's good to know that it compares well to the g master series equivalent. Yes, focus in video mode is the biggest issue with it, I don't even mind the noise as I always use external audio recording for my work. Ye, OSDs are outdated. I think that there will be no more Tamron primes made at all. I've read the announcement that they're focusing on the zoom lenses solely.
@EndlessEnergy I heard of this announcement, too, but the same guy kind of revoked that 1-2 weeks after (I guess it was someone from Tamron France). As they ported their 90/2.8 Macro, I think his statement did not make a lot of sense anyways. On the other hand, yes, they are definitely focused on the zooms. Nevertheless I hope for their SP 35/1.4 or at least the 1.8 version 😂
@@fotosvond_ That's great news!!!! Currently I'm focusing on rebuilding my medium format set though. Mamiya 80mm f1.9 is on the way :D

Great work! It's good that you kept the original aspect ratio.
gotta love 4:3 :)
They lens really shoot much better on mid 2000s news cameras, low light performance is kinda crazy considering its only 2/3 sensor
it's very good, but corners are super soft when wide open (especially on the wide end), so it's a give and take in a way. Thanks for watching!
Your videos are of way too high quality to be burried so deep ! You just made me buy one of these, I was searching for videos about it after stumbling on a low price one and I got convinced. Time to heat up the 3d printer and make an adapter for my d800.
Hehehe, thanks for the kind words. Don't worry I'm still making these, just trying to avoid making slop (videos just for the sake of schedule devoid of any soul). Regarding the lens itself, I've used this one, volna 80mm and mamiya 45mm with the medium format speedbooster for multiple paid gigs. Medium format lenses hold up quite well!
♥
🤌
I love your image making. That Tamron lens has astonishingly good image quantity that can only be surpassed by a small margin by very expensive macro lenses or APO glass.
Thanks for the kind words! It is surprisingly good. Used it for a professional shoot few weeks ago, client loved it :)
@EndlessEnergy You are welcome!
I want buy one,do u wamt sell it?
@@andyshang2882 Hey man, I'm not selling it at the moment, its part of my set. Did you look it up on ebay?
I get what you are saying but hear me out. A speedbooster is an adapter with a corrective lens. So basically, we are adding a glass element to the existing optical design of the lens. This is what a manufacturer would do if they were making the wider lengths. So when you use a 45mm lens with a booster it means you are using a 32mm lens. That's it. The sensor will only change when the actual real estate of the sensor increases. This is like saying if I use a wider lens on a camera, it becomes medium format.
@@guptageneralstores5243 This is absolutely correct! And yet when i look at the photos from my mamiya and compare them to sony with a booster they are surprisingly similar. So even though it is an illusion, it is a damn good one 🙌
Very helpful thanks
You're always welcome👌

You silly fuckin' gambica =-=
awesome video! The images of the people seems to bring out the best. Are they the same lens? Which lens pls? Thanks.
The lenses you used along with the speedbooster are equivalent to 32mm f2, 46mm f2.5 and 57mm f2 in full frame terms. Even the 80mm f1.9 you mentioned would be equivalent to a 57mm f1.4. Not quite the medium format look when there are actual f0.95 FF lenses made by laowa.
@@Wildridefilms I've used even 0.95 on full frame (not from laowa though) and they do not have that MF look either. It's not all about the depth of field, and ofc a lot of it is subjective.
Sick video bro! Going to add this lens to my collection now!! Haha look forward to more!!

Very Good video!!! I agree with RAW being really heavy for storage, Thats Why I prefer to shoot in Directlog ProRes mode.. having same level of details as raw.
@@InzamamulShaikh-567 Indeed, thats a nice alternative 👍
Can an SD card be used to record videos using Motioncam? A very fast sd card of course.
@@GenSecWPNM a good question, but i'm afraid i don't know. Haven't tried it. In theory it should be possible, you could ask the creators of the app?
@@GenSecWPNM You can use SD card to store raw files directly on it however the I/O of sdcard is too low for raw recording.. recording to SDD is recommended.
Odlično!
Hvala :D prijalo mi da pričam na srpskom malo!
E-PL9 looks more cinematic.
You are the first person ever to tell me that, I guess that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder! What do you prefer about olympus? Colors?
@@EndlessEnergy I love the colors straight out of the camera, there's a flat profile too (not log though) and it makes it possible to tweak the colors even with LUTs. My favorite camera is E-P7 though as it lets you do pretty precise color grading directly in the camera, you can tweak each primary color separately as well as highs, mids and shadows. This way I can see what I am recording and set the lighting accordingly. For me as a filmmaker, it speeds up the process and helps me to be more creative. Surely I could achieve similar results in post-production, creating masks, motion track and so on, but it would take far more time and effort.
@@cineffect Nice, as long as it truly vibes with you it doesn't matter what camera you use!
you have interesting take on exposure because to me all the shoot look like acceptable over-exposure... maybe that makes tests look a bit worse than real life usage suggests. but still on your own real world tests i did not feel it at all. i wonder how sharp in the corners is my kipon booster.
@@zigmej I've yet to see a MF speed booster with sharp edges (I've compared a couple of models with my friends). Do tell if you feel yours is sharper!
@@EndlessEnergy im in a process of buying 45mm mamiya so will see. i suspect it will be a bit better probably but thing here is that 45 and especially 35mm is softer towards the edges naturally. when 45mm arrives i will check that compared to 80mm and that should give us some clues.

I have both the s24u and z60u I very rarely shoot videos. But the camera the nubia takes the cake in 90% of time. Plus the battery life is insane and it has an uninterrupted display with no camera cutout for half the price of Samsung. This phone is amazing and so underrated.
Battery is absolutely osbcene. I get 12 hours screen on time ez. And yes, fuck the selfie cutout, uninterupted display is KING 😁
