Fuel tank from a 440 sno pro to a F7 Firecat is going to be different. The fuel pick up line is at the bottom. I think you have to modify it to work. That I couldn't tell you how you would go about that. Far as fixing the filler neck. Plastic weld it. I done mine on my 2010 CFR. You got to use plastic filler rod from another tank. The plastic has to match. I got an old broken tank I cut up for plastic filler rod. I have fixed another tank for someone that way. Mine I used a plastic welder from Harbor freight. Basically it is a soldering iron. I just melted a V and folded it over and smoothed it out. You got to a little at a time then let it cool then work on it again. It'l takes time. When I was done I put JB weld over it. Let it sit for 24 hours. Before I painted it. I just put spray paint in a plastic cup. Then used a paint brush. I'll send you an IM show you how it turned out.

Pretty happy with how the GRE (gas resistant epoxy) did for my snow pro 440 tank.

Need a efi tank very common problem they do make a insert for them to repair or have to get a new tank

Yes Carb and efi tanks are different

Make sure to check the furl pickups in that f7. There should be 2 and there's little valves in them where they close if they suck air so the other one will still suck fuel. But if they're both stuck closed, the fuel pump will run but won't make pressure because its not pulling fuel through those valves.

The tanks are physically the same, to convert from carb to efi you can make them work. Plug the outlet on the bottom for the carb model and drill a hole in the front to mount the fuel pump for the efi model

Intake carb boots definitely hard to source… if guy wants running larger carb I believe older zrt boots bolt up.

Does the brake bleeder rub on the oil tank? The 3 f7s i had they all rubbed on the tank. 2 of them bad enough to rub a hole in it

Honestly, I was the last one to race Vintage class with Cor Powersports. First weekend Naytahwaush 2024, and before that was Ironwood, MI ski hill. Far too many races in the past several years, I have been the only one in Vintage class.

A set of small bent needle nose pliers for the cir clip its a snap. No problem install even with another cylinder bolted down next to it

Look into the mahle cir clip install tool, not sure if they make them small enough for a sled piston though

Well done Gunner! There is alot of variance in factory belts. They are made on a big mandrel then cut, so some on one end of the mandrel are a little longer or shorter than others. My buddy was a crew guy for a champ sled and they would hit rummage sales, craigslist etc. and buy every belt of a serial number they could. Then prep them in a shower with steam and soap?!?! To remove mold release. The durometer would vary depending on age. It was a black art! Finally they got a factory Gates sponsorship and had whatever spec and durometer they wanted. Alot more consistent! That 440 was also very picky on belts, I believe a 010 was factory, a little softer than the 020, which was needed for that 5500 ram engagement. Mine had notched weights as well, which was great for lifting the front end, almost like a dirtbike. Good to see you keeping it on the track, one of Cats most successful sleds ever. 😊

Plastic razor blades work good or removing decals , heat the decal with a heat gun and scrape with plastic razor blade , after I discovered them I use them for house hold things and mechanical things, they are pretty awesome

Z440 was 56 hp in '99, 62 hp in 2000, and 67 hp in 2001-2003. Final z sno pro was built in 2003. As far as i know you cannot get engine parts for those anymore. 570 fan came out in 2004 or 2005 i think and were supposed to be 70 hp, they reworked those and detuned them to about 62 ish hp due to emissions in 2009-2010 era.
