I want to learn more about passive sentences
,Hi
would you mind exlaining about the use of "le" in chinese please?
您好!
Hi
0:48
sister is jiemei. Brother is xiongdi. Sibling is xiondi jiemei.
Hmm I am a bit confused on how to tell when "yao" is "I want" or "about to do". I am trying to understand how I don't misinterpret that phrase as "I want to go do homework"
give us a complete lesson on passive voice in Chinese including all the tenses please
The grammar seems so logical and simple. The language just employs a designated single word to add in order to indicate each tense. So much better than the nightmarish flood of unnecessary, complex or irregular verb changes (which also change based on subject) in European languages, especially the romance languages.
4:09 "He" is not a first person. It's the 3rd person singular?
Unfortunately "I go to do homework" is not English.
Chill out. The point is to convey the meaning of the Chinese phrase, and "I go to do homework" in English, gets the point across just fine.
your good teacher xie xie I want to speak Chinese
By the way, will you be doing a series on complex Chinese sentence structures?
Thanks for the lesson. So, are you saying that in the word ji3 dian3, that both parts get changed to the second tone?
Thank you. It sounded like you pronounced the shao with the second tone. I could not tell whether or not you had placed the tonal mark over the " a " or not.
Another excellent lesson. You are a fantastic teacher!!!
Excellent lesson.
Thank you for touching on the tone changing rules. You are an excellent instructor.
Awesome!!! I have just subscribed.
Is "shí" the verb to be for all pronouns? for example: tā shí (he is??)
xie xie..
Thank you so much!!! I don't know if you still see this comment since it's such a long video but it really helped me. I'm watching Journey to the west by stephen chow right now, and I'm writing out the hanzi to get the the pinyin. The pinyin is yao shi diao dao shui li hui bei da longxia, The english translation was if you fall in, the big lobster will grab you. I didn't finish the whole pinyin sorry It's a bit confusing for native english speaker since he for us is a third person. Could it be 1st person is the subject and 3rd person is the object? subject ba object but to use bei, object bei subject. Perhaps I could say, Wo ba wo de nu peng you mai dong xi le, i bought my girlfriend stuff Wo de nu pengyou bei wo mai dong xi le, the stuff was bought by my girlfriend Also, we could also say "I ate the apple", Wo chi le ping guo . When do we use the passive voice? Also from your info, it says that you know Cantonese. Could I learn cantonese using the knowledge I have from mandarin but just change the pinyin? Like for example, wo hai mei qu guo mei guo, I still haven't been to america but just change every one of the pinyin to cantonese? If anyone can help me out, I very much appreciate it
I like your simple way to explain active and passive!
very helpful. thx.
now, this is very helpful. thank you.
Good. Very helpful. Thank you.
Holy f*ck that is simple as hell :O We in German have so many tenses :/ E.g. If you do something in the past, which is done -> Präteritum tense (Ich aß - I ate). But if it comes from the past without being finished it would be -> Perfekt tense (Ich habe gegessen - I have been eating). If something is in the past before something different in the past it is the -> Plusquamperfekt tense (Ich hatte gegessen - I had eaten). Same with future, e.g. A thing that is in past, but within the future; so like someone will die (-> ending action) but this one is anyways in the future dead -> Futur 2 (Er wird gestorben sein - Something like: He will be died ;D).
your videos and way of teaching are superb :D thank you!! PS: Put "Chinese learning" or similar in your titles so more people find it because your material is great, keep it up!
