Advice About Peace Corps Now That I'm Finished

This video contains my personal opinion and does not reflect the opinions of Peace Corps, the United States Government, the people of The Gambia, or the government of The Gambia. Thank you to The Gambia and its people for their hospitality.
This video is inspired by Peace Corps' Third Goal about strengthening Americans' understanding about the world and its peoples.

Awesome
Good to hear about your experience! =)
If I get accepted into the Gambia program I’ll bring my laptop and we can start a Vlog site together if you want! I have a lot of web development and marketing experience and you do a great job bro.
thanks! I actually finished in July. But would love to pass the torch
Hope all went well my friend. I am looking into the new 2025 program for Gambia
you absolutely should! rooting for you
Just applied yesterday...im curious to see if ill get an invite
Well done and good luck!
Going to miss you. I agree about being present. I am 59f and in health sector in Malawi Africa. Absolutely love it!!!! Learning new language and working with the locals is awesome. Makes the challenges less harsh!!! Great jobs guys and gals, good luck in your future!!!!
Would you be against hiring a video editor? 😊
I have 6 months left ov service, my borehole project is up online. Ive been working on it since october 2023 but didnt get up on tne pcpp site till now. I appreciate tne advice! Im unfortunately headinf into rainy szn but w climate change its hardly rainy. I have had one person already want a personal faucet and lives too many feet away to do that so i said no. My community isnt as willing to work as yours but i do have motivated cps, these things have a way of working themselves out.
I just randomly typed in Peace Corps Cameroon to see what was going on these days and I have the biggest smile on my face now seeing Ben and Jenny from the stage before mine . What are the chances?! Hope y’all had a blast!
I shit myself when I saw one

PST in 2 weeks. Woop woop. You are awesome Campbell along with your fellow volunteers.
OMG! Enjoy America while you can
WOW - amazing experience.
Just Amazing 🤩
Great job Mr Kandeh! The importance of access to clean drinking water cannot be over emphasized and it has been a challenge for the community of Sare Chewto. Thank you stepping in and tackling the problem. 👍
We need to stop poverty tourism in Africa. African governments need to do better to prevent these 'You tubers ' from hunting slums and remote villages exploiting Africans for views and helping propagate wrong stereotypes about Africa It is time governments start suing them also
Congratulations on finishing this project! It was really cool to see the whole village working on it.
Hey Campbell, where did you get your hat? I left behind the same hat on the GPTC bus coming from Soma to Basse by accident.
I bought my hat in America before coming to Gambia. But I hope you find your hat :)
I never found it so I ended up buying a new one from Costco when I came back.
Hi Martin how are you doing I love your tours they are lovely you are doing great soon you will be having 1m subscribers 😊 watching from Uganda 🇺🇬
Congratulations on such great work by your village on this project which will impact everyone everyday. I'm so proud of you ❤
You are amazing - this is such important and sustainable and permanent impact you are having on the community,
Great video Campbell. Congrats to the village and to you for spearheading this project.
Yesss. Love your videos. I like that 2 women were trained as well. That is actually pretty huge in their culture I know. Way to go in progress all around. 71 days before staging!!!! A public works is set up with a bore hole. Nice.
Super awesome!!! So happy it all worked out. Keep on keepin' on!
Hi
Been waiting for your videos. I depart Jun 2 for PST in Malawi. Your videos really helped in the process in my decision making for becoming a PCV!
Oh my gosh! I'm honored to be a part of your journey. Good luck in Malawi!
Writing on season 1 was a little weak. But this series is really hitting its stride in season 2. I think switching out the actor playing Campbell was a good move. I love new Campbell!
Love how you picked up the pulaar. Pulaar ma na Labi .
Luke warm water on a hot day hehe 😂😂😂
Yae I have been waiting for your video. I had my interview for youth health advisor in Malawi (2 weeks ago) and now I wait for the invite🤞trying not to be to obsessive on looking at my email. I want to jump through you tube and be there with you all! Lots of good little tidbits thanks again for sharing❤️
Love the videos and love the t-shirt too.
PS Campbell, I'd love to interview you for my PC website/blog. Interested? just let me know how to contact you. Good luck with the rest of your service! :)
you’re amazing
It’s like the Pope has arrived. Glad to see this positive reception.
❤❤❤
Loved this! ❤❤❤
Well, you were right I did need a tissue to watch this. 😭 I felt everything your mom was feeling and understood it all. What lovely memories you have all made on this trip!
I love everything about your family. I see where you get all your sweetness from. And I agree with that conversation at the end, "Campbell is a good man." I couldn't have said that better myself.
Wow, you’re already a year in!! Congrats 🎉 I’ve commented before but I’m a current Cameroon PCV (I just started my 7th month of service) so I appreciate the advice they gave you. And I think I know which Peter the RPCV was referring to because he still works for PC ahaha. Yeah people do seem to love you, I do my work and come home since I’m a health volunteer but definitely don’t know nearly as many people as you do haha. Bribes and all 😂
Thanks so much, that's so sweet! And don't sell yourself short. Just being present does a lot for folks in the village :)
OK lost me with the chicken run in the house
I've been following your VLOGs for a while now and would love to interview you for my blog. I'm also a PCV (Armenia). How can I contact you?
Hi Jim. I've sent you a Facebook friend request. Could you message me on there?
I love the opening muzak :-)
1:37 momma is hilarious your family trip was a wonderful trip. Interesting to see the difference in apprehension from first to last day. This appears to have been equally good for the people in your village area to experience your family dynamics as well. Love it all. 🙌🙌🙌❤
😁🙌😁🙌😁🙌 I love your matching family outfits.
Omg I want to hug your momma. But it’s funny I hear the same fears from folks that I tell that this is what I am pursuing. Thank for your videos they are my inspiration as I continue forward with this journey. Oh and my eyes were sweating too when you entered the village❤
Absolutely inspirational- beautiful family so blessed! !Mammy Jane has not changed a bit!
So proud of you campbell!!
Aw! Thanks. And the feeling is so hecking mutual, miss Teach for America!
These videos are well done. I was in the Peace Corps in The Gambia in 2002. My village was near Basse. I'm thinking of returning this November for a couple weeks along with another former volunteer. I'd be interested in seeing what you and some other PC volunteers are up to these days.
Great job! Your blogs or so awesome so current. Hope to be and on my way somewhere this time next year.
OMG - this is probably my favorite video of all - and for obvious reason!!
Love that you shout out for the teachers that helped you. You're a first class guy!!
