If you position the ratchet pointing downward a bit at first, it will have less angle when there's a lot of force on it and be more stable

Just did a customers oil change on their hyundai. The guy tried doing his oil change but stripped the bolt and im sure he over tightened it cause that thing was not coming off... ugh. I'm usually against using impacts on sump plug bolts but had to lightly tap a socket on it and use my m12 stubby to loosen it. It came straight off. Man I love my stubby. Thing virtually fits into any tight space.

I’ve used that trick to loosen bell housing bolts before. A piece of pipe between the jack and the wrench and they came loose.

This is certainly thingking outside the box. I tried increasing the length of the bar by adding pipes on it. Didn't think of using a jack for this. Will try to break my dry bolts free once a storm passes.
