Do You Have An Emergency Bag For Your Dog? Prepper Dog Bugout Bag
Our dogs are our best friends. They’re part of our families. When becoming more prepared for any potential emergencies or natural disasters, it’s important to remember that our furry friends need a bugout bag that you can quickly grab while you evacuate. Don’t forget in a shtf situation our pets are still our family and deserve to be just as prepared as us preppers.

Power is a very important component in emergency preparedness. Most of our prepper gadgets and devices require some form of electricity to operate. being able to generate your own electricity without being reliant on the grid is an excellent first step into your journey as a prepper. Portable solar panels are a great way to get you there. This marbero panel is a great option when shtf #prepper ...

This new device is one of my absolute favorite survival gadgets to release this year! As a prepper I'm often looking for new upgrades to my preps and stockpile. For 8$ is pretty good. I wouldn't really say its everyday use but it seems to fill the shoes of an extra large camelpack. Would likely be great for water respply runs bet deffo not long term storage, would require cleaning once in a while too if the water inside is not chlorinated it could form algae. Thanks for the idea, been thinking about my own bug out kit. Water is a diffucult thing where I'm from, surrounded by sea the well water is salty and the electric grid fails when storms hit.

    I’m curious about crank generators, for when solar isn’t possible, and clearly the technology exists, but my curiosity would be how long it would take to charge a small power station, maybe not by using this one specifically, but something within a certain cost but powerful enough, pedal powered possibly? With the recent quasi solar flare incident it made me worry about those who may be relying on solar battery systems, not that I understand that there would be or why there could be a direct risk caused by solar storms, but it just rekindled a very basic concern of having alternative options to generating and storing electricity…

    • @GetReadyPrepping
      @GetReadyPrepping 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah definitely I think you would definitely get more output with a pedal generator like the K-Tor generators. Zeus Dynamo makes a hand crank one I’d like to try. Hopefully one day I can test all of these out.

I would stay away from any systems that use a usb port to deliver power however. The idoo system I have for wheatgrass doesn’t output enough power to grow anything other than wheatgrass. I haven’t noticed a significant bump in my bill at all but I’m sure that would completely depend on the units being used. I bought an over priced Berkey System because I was stupis at the time in knowing about this stuff. I have used Berkey and filters and is over priced crap. People on TH-cam endorse them because they get system and filters for free. When the free stops they turn to other filters. If they say they are not sponsored by Berkey it is only because Berkey is not paying them but sending them their products. Soo Sorry I spent the kind of money I did on such 2 stainless steel pots and over priced filters that have continually gone down hill in quality. Black film on the insides of my stainless steal pot. Checked water before and after filtering with a TDS water meter tester. Went in @250ppm, came out 264ppm. What a Sham.

      @@GetReadyPreppingBerkey is a good product. You just have to clean it out about every 6 weeks. I do once a month. Once a month I run it out, take the 2 stainless steel pieces apart and wash it out with usually good clean water and a lint free white cloth. If it has ant sediment build up I use vinegar on the bottom container, rinse very well and put back together. Fill it back up and I'm good. Sometimes Amazon has a sell on filters, sometimes cheaper universal types that work with my Berkey goes on sale and I stockpile those. The water does taste good. As with all new filters, sometimes you may have to run a half a tank of water or so through the filter first for best flavor. BERKEYS ARE NICE. NO I don't get anything from Berkey. I just love mine and bought my 2 grown kids 1 each. We all love them and we all sometimes buy off brand filters that are universal and on sale

    We have used these zero water filters in one of their pitchers for about a year. They do filter very well but are not economical at all, at least with our water. We are on city water in San Antonio Texas. We get about 30 gallons maximum out of them before the water starts to have the citrus flavor. @@GetReadyPrepping it turns back into real peanut butter when you add water, so you can use it by itself as well, i just like using it with oatmeal or pancakes because it mixes so well. I would try that stuff out if you're interested. The brand i use is PBfit

    • @GetReadyPrepping
      @GetReadyPrepping 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Water contains such trace amounts of those minerals that it doesn’t make an actual difference in your diet. That’s why people on keto or the carnivorous diet take electrolyte supplements despite drinking tons of water. We get those minerals from our food not our water

    • @GetReadyPrepping
      @GetReadyPrepping 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@frederick4367 no you would need a distiller or a reverse osmosis system to remove chemicals. if your only option is tap water you might want to look into either one of those. if you're harvesting your water by other means you don't have to worry about those chemicals. Hope that helps

    This is pretty cool, and even though a small solar generation would probably drain within an hour or two that could be a good thing in terms of safety since it will just run out…. I was looking into electric blankets though and am pretty new to them….

      excellent points. I recently did a video about heating solutions for an emergency and I spoke about heated blankets and heating pads. Both are excellent solutions. heating pads use less power but are smaller so there are pros and cons to both.

      @@GetReadyPrepping awesome! Thanks I will watch that video again because I think you showed some hand warmers which I was also interested in and thank you for specifying the heating pad vs blankets, I might actually consider the pads to save on the initial cost as well as the power cost and was thinking that if they are smaller to designate them from my feet on up….
