I learned the hard way. Used an air compressor and 99 ipa to prewash before I put the part into the wash bucket. I didn’t realize it at the time and honest I was rushing because I was exited. I think some resin blew off onto the front of my legs. I was wearing shorts. Didn’t notice anything until I went in the sun bike riding and right after scabbing with discoloration on my skin. I should’ve known better, I’ve felt the chemical reactions producing heat before. That was two years ago lol it’s still there. I take that as a blessing tho because it could’ve been much worse. One time I printed a small minion. I tried hollow. I didn’t read about drain holes or maybe I did but just said fuck it. Print came out good. I washed and cured. Good. Support removal good. So on handling the object trying to scrape off one nodule that supports left and next thing I knew the model exploded lol luckily I had my readers on. From that day forward I only printed solid then went to fdm instead. It’s nasty stuff.
Very very nice. At 9:11 my butthole clenched. I’ve dropped many resin parts. My life goes in slow motion and I close my eyes in anticipation of the shattering sound lol

I hope someday Robosen makes a functional Johnny Five Robot toy like they did with Transformers Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, and now Megatron. I seriously think there should be a Robosen Johnny Five miniature interactive robot.

I know, and Short Circuit 2 had built in merchandising potential. They actually built toy robots in the movie. How cool would it have been for the nine year old me to get a Johnny Five replica for my 9th birthday in the summer of ‘88. It’s a concept that could be revisited today. I know they could make a little robot that moves by itself and talks, and it could have glowing red eyes, maybe even a working laser.
