Gnolan has wooden balls 😂😂😂 First time watching and love your video and Gnolan is adorable!!! You tick all the boxes for me. Gnomes, beautiful yarn, Dr Who, southeast England ( I lived in Ipswich for a couple of years), Star Wars, and your little ones are adorbs!

I use the cheap glass rocks that are used in flower arranging or fish tanks to weigh down my gnomes.

I made a gnome last week and put some marbles in the bottom which worked well ❤ your gnome is super lovely ❤

Try washing your hands using head and shoulders. I find it works with hair dye on your hands.

Im also doing the Bingo Challenge to give myself some direction with my projects and yarn usage! I do however, need to keep telling myself it's a year long makealong and I do not need to have all the things done immediately 😂 There were also some things I couldn't fit on the board, so they will be bonuses (or I'll change the squares to include them when mid year rolls around)!

I’m working on Gnarley as I am watching this. I absolutely love this book as the components can be mixed to make a different gnome or as inspiration for a ‘new’ gnome. Gnarley will be my fifth gnome from The Gnomes of Grimblewood book.

My daughter and I like paper and pens; stationery. Yes! We like to letter write and I admit I search very focused on which pen to write with. Does it match the stationery especially bringing out a more secondary color. I have the same color pens that have different tips and whether fine, medium, etc. I know. We have planners as well. (Buy them on sale or make our own.) I like a ringed notebook and we really like, and use, stickers. Paper and pens and writing makes us happy. Also happy, excited, about knitting plans. Trying to up my skill. Looking forward to the challenge.

I saw this pop up in my ‘suggested’ videos and said to hubby - I need to find the one my daughter bought me from Tilly Flop at EAYF last March for my birthday! I’ve been finished off the previous planner! Of course, I’ve put it in a ‘safe place’! So now I have decided a new page in that planner when I find it - the page will be titled ‘The Safe Place’ with the idea to write down everywhere I put things for a later date!!! I also love that Ellie wants to do one of the 5 yr diary as well and that you are planning to do them together!

I love your shawl, I look forward to the release of the pattern. I am a knitter and I sew too. I have kept a record of my "starts and finishes" for the past 2 years. I just use a pretty spiral bound notebook. I was just looking through the one from 2023 and I have to confess that there are things I started and planned to finish in 2024 that may, or may not, be carried into 2025 😂 I did a make 9 board last year and made 2 things 😂 I have realised that I don't do well with planning projects! I make whatever I want to at that particular moment in time. See you next time ❤

Sounds like fun! I'm not a stationery person, I don't see the appeal (my husband is and I'm pretty sure he doesn't get how I feel about yarn, but we both respect that it works for the other person and make the appropriate encouraging noises when presented with New Things). I 100% understand about day planners/diaries/notebooks/organisers that are started and abandoned by the wayside: I am also that person. I'm pretty sure I started a line-a-day diary last year, not my first. One of my big goals for this year is to knit with my deep stash, stuff I was given or acquired as a new knitter but never quite got around to. I want to deliberately try and use it, probably for gift or charity knits. I'm not setting myself unrealistic goals like using all of it, but try and see what I can work through. One plan is to use my coop knits sock yeah held double to knit gnomes. The colours all have speckles of other colours so they work together really beautifully.

Let me tell you I ran to the website to purchase 😅😍 I love that you have made all the moodboards available from the start, it lets us start thinking about which months we would like - there are so many dyers putting out amazing clubs next year that I have to pick my favourites month to month or else my stash is going to grow uncontrollably!

Merry Christmas! Is the street actually called Christmas Lane? I think wingspan sounds like what I would say and armspan doesn't (and my auto correct doesn't like arm-span as one word) but both of them convey the same information. It's amazing that you got those crochet toys done in that kind of time. Maybe if plans sound too much like setting up for failure (my ADHD brain understands exactly how that is), could aspirations work? Aspiration, to me, sounds like a something I'm working towards, whether I ever get there or not. My self-hack for finishing projects is going to be visual reminders of what I'm working on and what I want to work on next. My brain needs constant visual reminders of things. (The visual can be written words, but it has to be something out in the open so I look at it with my eyeballs because if it's in a notebook or a tidied away, or just dropped to the side project bag I will forget to check it)

It is very sweet how much you value your children. Two am Christmas morning crochet is dedication! Those purple yarns are gorgeous.

I am knitting on the Coziest Memory as I was watching! It is almost big enough to keep me warm while I work on it! Using up all manner of scraps and two scrappy advent swaps I had with friends. Knitting it with fingering held double, so it has big squish!

I'm working on a Tin Can Knits Vivid blanket. I like to make the squares individually and will lay them out later to decide the colour arrangement when I see how many I have. For me, that's a problem with Join as you go more colour planning in advance needed.

I started a Stella Quilt blanket this year and was surprised at how much yarn it uses. It is beautiful though and my goal is to finish it by the end of 2025.
