How many yarns do i need to crocheg it?
250g for each color (3colors)
found my next project:) this tutorial was actually the first one ive seen that makes since
Just give it a try it's worth it! You got this <3
Thank you so much✨
How many rows is the bottom ribbing? 8:37
Actually you dont need to count rows, just keep adding them until the ribbing fits all around your cardigan (which means you have to sew first the squares together and have an overall view of the cardigan)
I've been attempting to make this, but my Squares keeps on becoming 18 cm even though i followed everything correctly. what could be the problem?
I think you're working with a thicker yarn or a bigger crochet hook, but actually it doesn't really matter as long as you end up with a square (18cmx18cm) but if you want to have a 15cm square I recommend working with DK or light worsted yarn with a 4,5mm crochet hook
I love your work! I want to ask how many roll of yarn did you use for this project?
2 of 100g ball and 1 of 50g ball (250g) for each color
How much grams of yarn did you use?
250g for each color
searched harry styles cardigan --> saw hijabi --> instant subscribe
That's so sweet thank uu <333
Such an amazing tutorial! Can't wait to make this as my next project 😍
Its really worth the try!! you got this
how many squares did you use
60 squares
Hii, thanks so much for the great tutorial! I have a question tho, so I made my Bottom Ribbing only 96 cm how big do I have to make the Squares for that?
Actually the ribbong should follow the length of the Cardigan as a whole ie after sewing all the squares together and having a overall view of it and not the other way around
@@dexterousdorothy4691 ahh okay thank you😊
Is it okay if my yarn is cotton and acrylic fiber combined??
Actually it doesn't really matter
@@dexterousdorothy4691 thank you so much! I really appreciate your time for responding to my question 🥹🫶
Hi Even if i doubt you'll reply but i would really like to know how to make this cardigan a bit longer If i can just add a row of squares at the bottom but the issue is that it can end up being to long I would really appreciate any recommendations from anyone ❤️ Also do i need to block the squares I'm a beginner and this is my first big project and your answers will be a great help
To make the cardigan bigger you will want to add one column (vertically) and one ligne (horizontally) both in the back panel and make sure to alternate between the colors of the squares just to end up with a beautiful panel. As for the sleeves I dont think you need to add any further squares because they are really ( I mean really) oversized and I believe they will fit on you even if you are overweight. So you will crochet not only 63 squares but 70 squares since you are adding 7 squares in the bag panel (4 vertically and 3 horizontally)
Wdym by block the squares, also Im sure you're gonna nail this project just give it a try <3
@@dexterousdorothy4691 no i didn't mean make it bigger im actually size S i just want to make it longer And from what you said i can add a line horizontally i guess ?
@@dexterousdorothy4691 An concerning the blocking i saw some ppl put the squares in water and stretch them or something like that Or is it just fr granny squares thank youu soo much fr replying ❤️ I'll definitely give it a shot
Yes that's right but make sure to add fhat line horizontally in boththe back and front panel

So glad I have a sister from Egypt, Im from Morocco <333
How many yarn balls did u need in the whole project ?
I used 2 of 100g ball and 1 of 50g ball (250g for each color)
Did u use just 2 to make the whole 20 squares??
No 250 for each color so you need to get 2 of 100g ball and 1 of 50g for the same color
Thank you so much for this! I made one for my little sister as a high school graduation gift.
That's so sweet of you <33 she's so lucky to have you!!

I dont understand how I can join the squares by the sides, I mean I can join them at the last row like in 09:55 but that would leave me with two sides that has no similar patterns...? Im sorry for my broken English
As you can see the sides of the squares dont have proper stitches, it's just the side of the stitches, so to join the squares by their sides, just insert your crochet in one random gap you can see and join it with another gap from the second square. I wish I was helpful, also if you speak arabic or french I can explain it in another words
@@dexterousdorothy4691 thank you for the answer, didn't think you would read the comment but I'm glad you did! Thanks again
Hi, quick question. Is the size of the cardigan just average for everyone, or do I have to adjust the size based on my body?
Actually This cardigan is really oversized so I think it fits on all body types, however you can make it following the same steps I did and then try it on (after sewing the front and back panel) then you can adjust it by adding or subtracting squares
Good job 😩❤
💙🦋🥺
would this work with plus size people?
Yes because its really oversized
MashaAllah I appreciate this video very much! One question, how do I attach the sleeves to the front and back?
Im replying from another account, anyway you need to know first that you have 18 stitch on the side of each square, 4 squares in each sloove, so you will want to attach these 4 squares to the upper 2 squares of the front panel and the 2 upper squares of the back panel, sew every stitch to it collateral, I wish i was helpful
How much yarn you need for this please reply fast
You will need 250g for each color
How much balls?
2 of 100g ball and 1 of 50g ball for each color
Thanks
Best tutorial video btw
❤❤❤❤
What is the general size of the cardigan please? I'm asking because I'm on the the bigger side
Im 5'5 tall and I weight 64kg and as you can see it looks very oversized on me so I dont think you'll find a problem with its size even if you are overweight, however you can crochet it following the same steps I did and try it on, then if it doesn't fit on you you can add mor squares on the front and back panels
Are you speake arabic
Yes you can ask me in arabic if you want
How many Balls did you use of each color?
Since I used 250g for each color I, picked 2 of 100g yarn skein, and 1 of 50g yarn skein for each color
How much squares of each colour did u make?
You can watch 2:09
Hi! may i ask how many squares EACH i need to make with 6 colors?
You will want to make 10 squares for each color six time until you make 63 squares in total
@@dexterousdorothy4691 thank you so much!
About how long would this project take? Is it doable in a week
It took me a month actually but I was super lazy while doing the squares, so if you make 4 squares a day you may end it by the half od thr month
i wanna make this but with normal and tapestry squares!
Wdym by tapestry squares
@@dexterousdorothy4691 idk what other call them, but like the squares you made but using grid patterns as well, which are used for making tapestries and stuff!
Oh if so yes ofc you can do ot
Heyy im sorta new to crochet so i wanted to ask, my square is a little see through (like i can see the holes from the stitches) when i hold it up to a dim light so i was wondering if i should make tighter stitches or change the hook size or if there is actually nothing wrong. Ive only made one bc im scared it might turn out bad bc of this.
Yes you guessed it right you're using a bigger crochet hook than what it is supposed to be for a thinner yarn, so you will want to either work with a smaller crochet hook(which may affect the overall size of your square and make it smaller) or look for a thicker yarn, however I recommend to work with 4,5mm crochet hook with DK or light worsted yarn
@@dexterousdorothy4691 thank you so much, that's really helpful. I'm glad I didn't get too far 😊
isnt this patchwork cardigan? edit: NVM IT JUST APPEARS WHEN U SEARCH IT UP BUT IT ISNT SORRY

hello! can you substitute milk cotton yarn to the acrylic yarn you used??
Actually milk cotton yarn is indeed durable, though it may not be as long lasting as pure acrylic, It can pill and wear over time, especially if it's not cared for properlybe so if you intend to make it with this yarn just make sure to handwash and good luck
How many yarns are needed for it? Please
You will need 250g for each color
Thank u 😁
This looks really pretty, and I’m looking forward to making it :D I love how you made everything super easy to follow because I am not that great with complicated instructions lmao ^︣ ᴗ ^᷅
Im a bit confused at the end of my row and i start a new row it starts to look somaller i did 18 rows and i only did five stiches even tho i did 23 chains. So im a bit lost can some one help?😅
It's okey just make sure you have 24 chains and you crochet in each and every stitch until the end, then turn it over and start again until you make 18 rows and your square measures 15cm in height
@@dexterousdorothy4691 thank you i try that now!
@@dexterousdorothy4691 thank you that really helped ill continue the rest if the video
That was very adorable. Thank you for making this video! I'm gonna try it out myself. :)

Do you think it’s possible for an absolute beginner to crochet this lovely cardigan? I’d like to start crocheting as a summer project :)
Look trust me it's a very simple cardigan which I made sure to make only with beginner friendly squares, if you know how to hold a crochet and a thread of yarn, I'm sure you're going to make it! Just give it a try
Hello! How much yarn did you use for this, for each color?
I ised 250g for each color but you can grab an extra 50g skein just to see everything together
Can i use 4 ply yarn?
Yes
Hey, quick question. To make the sleeves do we have to fold them in half and saw them that way? Also, do we have to make 2 of the middle ribbing?
After crocheting 16 squares and sewing them together (for each sleeves) take the edges of the piece and sew each stitch with its pair in the other edge, as for the middle ribbing, no you just have to make one long ribbing that you re going to attach to the right, the neck line and all the way through to the left part, I wish I was helpful, its quite difficult to explain it in text lol
@@dexterousdorothy4691 this really, helped, thank you so much!
I really wanna know, How many yarns for each colour that you use? Cause I don't think one each is enough for that many squares😢
I personally used 250grams for each color (5 of 50grams yarn skeins) but I grabbed an extra 100g just for sewing
@@dexterousdorothy4691Thank youuu so much! You made my day! I just started my own crochet cardigan today!❤
Can I do this using fluffy crochet yarn? ♡
Yes why not
Couldn't quite understand the last part. Especially how to do the sleeves and joining the cuffs part too. But rest was really helpful thank youu :)
I didywant to make the video extra long but I can explain to you how to join the sleeves, so basically you will want to join the squares together to make 4 columns and 4 lines (16squares in total for each sleeve), you will end up with a piece of squares thay you will join its edges by another thread of yarn, join each stitch of the squares to one stitch of the squares controlatéral
Then join each stitch of the cuffs to 4 stitches of the cardigan to make it look fluffy
@dexterousdorothy4691 thank youu it was really helpful
How many squares would i need for a 13 years old? Please reply..
It depends on how tall you are and your weight, but what I recommend is taking off one column from the bottom of the front and the back panel I show in he video, and taking off 1 ligne from each of the sleeves
So you will need to make 48 squares
Thank you very much.❤ i really needed the information 🥰❤️
