Thanks for video. Trying to help my nephew make some as he’s a new tattoo artist. Any chance you’d share file for the 9 card holder? I’m trying to be the wow “you can do anything” Uncle 😆 and I’m struggling with these!
Just the file for the template? If so, Send me your email
My comments disappear as soon as I type them 😔
Thank you for testing my model! Unfortunately, it was my first model, and I was still at the beginning of my CAD work. In the meantime, I have created new models that work much better. I would be happy if you could give them a chance. Best regards, Tommy 👍
@@Tommy3DLab No, thank you! Honestly this was my first time ever playing with a boomerang so I wouldn’t be too quick to blame the model 😂. We had a lot of fun testing these and would love to test some new ones. If you can, send a link to bmehrkens@ladyandthelineman.com. I’ll tag you in the video once it’s posted!
We have a paid collaboration offer for you. Please provide your email so we can discuss the details.
Honestly I would prefer having no inside excess scratching & rubbing my forehead. I believe if a customer came in & had both options shown - they'd probably agree. It's still 100% an embroidered patch but it comes down to whether or not it matches the pros without the cons & if that's the case it's a no-brainer for me
I couldn’t agree more. Also, if you were REALLY tired of the current patch.. you can pull it off and put a new one in its place! 😝 Thanks for your input!
@@LadyandTheLineman ty. I'm a learner & will be doing my own merch. So I appreciate any tips as useful as something like this. All the best

It’s just a benefit of parenting 😂❤️

Does thr artspira app still chsrge you monthly to upload uour own designs??
No, but you are limited to 25 files saved in the app when using the free version, and 100 with the paid version. The fact that the machine does not have a usb port is a huge downside in my opinion.
@@LadyandTheLineman Hi there, hope you doing well. Could you tell me please . If we have all 25 positions filled, can we replace them with new samples, removing unnecessary ones?
@@pavlony54 yes you can
Top notch parenting hack 😂
And so versatile! Any sport that involves fetching a ball will work! 😂
Do you create your own files to embroider? Having the ability to or a source to convert my vector designs is the missing link for me.
I outsource my detailed images such as the Deadpool Wolverine Hat on our website, but using ink/stitch or Artspira for Simple font has been easy enough. My digitizer charges $7-$12 per design and is very quick. If you’d like, I can send you his info. Alternatively, you could join an embroidery Facebook group and make a post asking if anyone can digitize a specific file for you. You will be overrun with offers to help. Let me know if you have any more questions
Great video!!
Thank you!
In the last 5 days i've been looking for good tips on Lightburn and yours were the best!!
Honestly this is the best comment ever! Is there anything specific you would like to learn? I have a few new videos to post this week! Thank you for the support!
great video on the skitch. I have 2 brothers one a dual embroidery and sewing machine and the other is the prs100. I am debating if I want to get this to do small designs like onesies. Only thing you missed was cutting the jump stitches, No biggie but it would have made the patch look cleaner!
If I am being completely honest, I wouldn’t recommend this machine. The software greatly limits the versatility and the machine itself has very few tuning features. I love having one, don’t get me wrong, but had I had one for a month to test, I would not make the purchase again. If it wasn’t $500 I’d say it’s worth having for individual products, but it just seems too expensive for that. Thank you very much for the tip! I was actually curious if I was supposed to cut those or not! 😅😂
@@LadyandTheLineman greatly appreciate the feedback on the machine. I keep going back and forth. Also you are welcome yes sir on some of the larger machines it actually cuts the jump stitch or leaves very few and I thought this one was supposed to of it as well. Use fine detailed scissors to cut those so you can get super close. They turned out great though!
That makes sense! I think it may be another minor defect of the/my machine. I have noticed the jump stitch is removed/cut on some projects, and is not on others. Thanks again!
@@LadyandTheLineman it may be how the file is digitized. Don’t quote me on that though 😂😂
Just subscribe 🎉🎉🎉 amazing work 👏🏿 now sub#54
I appreciate the support! Thank you!!
Another excellent video👍. Also, I do believe there are no downsides to the way it is patched; a clean look inside the hat is what I would have preferred. At section 6:20, the embroidered threads are not looking good. The bottom of the “L” and “N” in “Lineman” looks as if it was about to create a top bird's nest. It seems the PP1 isn’t consistent once again. Anyhow, fantastic job!!!!!😎
Ya, it tends to happen in the same spot on this patch. Could definitely be Skitch related, but my other theory is the amount of stitches in that small area. Probably a machine downside.. 😂
@@LadyandTheLineman I left a reply to your comment on my channel.
What brand do you use for the sticky back side? Thanks for the video. I’m on the same boat. :)
PLANTIONAL a.co/d/89XbD5D
PLANTIONAL Double Sided Iron On Adhesive Sheets: That is what I use for hat patches …thank for the video
I have the same product! Amazon for the win!
Another excellent job. This now begs the question: during embroidery production with the PP1, did all the patch stitching run fine? Or did any of the patches need to be redone due to PP1 errors (e.g., bobbin thread showing on top, needle breaks, etc.)? Otherwise, the patches look awesome.👍
Surprisingly, the only issues I have run into have been of my own doing.. installing bobbin incorrectly, thread tension, etc. One issue I do have is the sound the machine makes when over stitching… sometimes it has a violent thud sound and I feel like that is not sustainable, but we will see. I really appreciate the feedback! Thank you.
I cant Print simple namens…! It Looks horrible and i dont know why didnt find the Problem…!!! Could u explain how u did it..?!
Sure! I can make a video on it tonight, but the one main key is to create a PES file (fancy name for a Brother file) and ensure your thread is tensioned and bobbin wound correctly. What kind of issue are you having in particular?
Heya great video what kind of stabilizer &needle did you use?Would love to try on my shorts👍
Hey! I used a medium tear away backing and the stock needle that came with the PP1 (I can get you the spec if needed) I would recommend using a cut away backing for anything wearable. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic job showing some basic stuff with the PP1. Keep the videos coming. If you can, section 1:55 video is being displayed at 1080p (wide) I would love to see all of your footage in this format. Otherwise, 👍👏!
Will do! I’ve gotten a few really cool patches made this past weekend. I’ll post some videos tomorrow! Thank you for the feedback by the way, it’s hard to gauge what works best for each situation, I appreciate it!
I’m loving my Skitch! Are you still enjoying it?
I am! It has its drawbacks (as all machines do) but for making patches, shirts, etc, I Love it! What’s your favorite project to make so far?
Section 1:59 wasn’t good at all. Black thread lettering shows bottom white thread on top. A and N in Lineman have birds nest on top. White bobbin thread is showing on top in Section 4:07. Last project couldn’t see the quality, camera moving to fast. And it would had been nice to see the back stitches. Issues are tensions and poor quality with the Skitch PP1. There are more returns of the PP1 then any other embroidery machines and for good reasons, I had two and both sent back. Brother failed on the quality when they released the PP1 -sadly 😎
Good Eye! To be honest, this was my second time ever doing any form of embroidery and it shows! 😆 My tension was off, and honestly I think the bobbin was probably inserted correctly. Check some of my newer videos for some examples of good products coming from the PP1. Also, the digitizing software in Artspira is pretty horrible at this current point and that’s how I made the PES file above. Since then I paid a professional digitizer to remake the image. Thank you for your comment!
@@LadyandTheLineman I will check out the other videos. Thanks 👍😎
So glad to see another consumer stand undefeated against the Brother Skitch PP1
I use it everyday! It’s making some Faux Embroidered Iron on hat patches as I type 😎
don't this machine was poo, Im new to embroidery and thought this wold be perfect. I took it back two weeks late and brought the pe900.... im currently in love and it's allowed me way more creativity then the pathetic artspera app. DONT BUY
I originally had the same thoughts. But I actually only use the Artspira App to transfer my designs to the machine and monitor the progress. I generally use InkScape to digitize, or purchase from another artist. Then it’s just send and start! I’m sorry you had a poor experience. I’ll look into the PE900!
Man when you wind the bobbin put the thread up through the small hole. Hold the thread for a bit until it spins enough so it stays. 👍🏻
I’ll give that a try, Thank you very much for the tip!
I can’t get one to stop unthreading 😭
Have you played with the tension settings to see if the thread may be too tight or loose?
