You hit the nail on the head. I’m glad you liked the video! Corufell is a nice feeling weapon, at times, but I feel like 2 handed scythes need a stance overhaul. They just aren’t in the greatest place at the moment :)

Or it could build up Iron Skin. There’s no way it’ll constantly be blown off unless you are standing still.

Its far more effective than health tank rhino at that level because at least the overguard acts like an on-demand shieldgate.

I would like his passive to be momentum based, like Juggernaut from Marvel. Basically, he builds momentum by moving, slowly increasing movement speed, sprint speed, and parkour speed while in motion. The numbers don't need to be massive (something like a 15% buff would be great already). While the Momentum buff is active, maybe he could also have a small damage reduction buff, to "shake off damage" like a juggernaut. Again, this could be small like 10%, and affect Overguard, since his main tool is Iron Skin. Seems like a fun way to revitalize the frame :)

Disruption takes longer to hit level cap :)

I dont precisely get the math you bring up regarding piercing roar, but the rest of this does make solid sense.

@@russmcmacken9001 Rhino's Iron Skin is made to infinitely scale due to the fact that the first 3 seconds of the ability make you invulnerable and it absorbs incoming damage, all damage absorbed is added FLAT to your Iron Skin Overguard value. This means, provided the incoming damage remains similar, the Overguard should last for at least the same amount of time as that 3 second window- in other words, you receive enough Overguard to tank them for at least 3 seconds again. Piercing Roar applies 5 puncture procs to enemies, this means they deal 80% less damage. If the enemies deal 80% less damage, the remaining damage they deal is only 20% of their normal damage. 20% is one fifth. In other words, it takes five hits from a Piercing Roar'ed enemy to deal the same amount of damage as a single hit from a non-Piercing Roar'ed enemy. In other words, from Pierced enemies, you have 5x as much EHP. So if you cast Piercing Roar right at the end of your 3s absorption phase finishes, instead of being able to tank them for >3 seconds again, that is multiplied by 5 to get >15 seconds. Just be careful not to charge up your Iron Skin on Pierced enemies though, since they'll deal less damage to your absorption phase and therefore give you less Overguard.

1. Thank you for the comment and in-depth rationale. 2. Your Piercing Roar recommendation makes total sense, and is likely something I will playtest very soon. 3. Firewalker is a good recommendation, but I run Praedos or a weapon that can increase movement speed to compensate. 4. You mentioned diminishing returns on Strength, and while it's true to a degree, it's not an issue when it comes to damage over time, since the bonus is squared. In another build I'm working on, I will likely drop Transient Fortitude for Piercing Roar, but I won't include Stretch. I understand it would make group buffing easier, but I'm not really playing close to the team, and the buff from the augment should be enought. 5. The range at which Stomp affects enemies is more than enough to recover Iron Skin and crowd control enemies. Adding Stretch would increase the range and thus the regen of Overguard, but I prefer having Rolling Guard because it does not rely on energy to give me breathing room. Thanks again for the input. @@7BLANK Praedos is great and i also run it. I find it genuinely worth it to stack both Praedos AND Firewalker though, at least, more worth than the alternative- a meager 15% more strength. I understand now how Rolling Guard over stretch could make more sense if you're playing solo, and in non-defensive based gamemodes. I normally play in a duo with my mate so i don't have problems finding said breathing room, and the insurance that he's receiving Rhino's incredible buffs is valuable. If you are running defensive gamemodes though, would still give my utmost recommendation to slot stretch. It's nearly a 1.5x radial increase, and due to how area is calculated from radius (squared, if i remember correctly from my high school maths classes lol), it's actually a way bigger _area_ increase than just 1.5x. All the better to exploit the fact that Stomp and Piercing Roar both have no LoS restrictions either. Some of these Deep Archimedia mirror defences have been tough- and Rhino with stretch can be the solution to that problem.

Now that I know how you play, I can understand your build choices. I think you have very valid points all around. I prefer to play with a friend or two, and have them stick close to me. They mainly play defensive frames, so that’s why I don’t use Stretch. However, I like your logic, and I will probably adjust the build a bit to reorient the stat distribution. Power Drift will likely be subbed for Cunning Drift to get slightly more range. Much appreciated my friend :)

The Xoris' passive has infinite Combo duration.

​@@furyadcom7333 I know, but that means he's not using heavy attack explosion, which is a big loss in damage.

Two things: 1. You’re right about me not using a heavy attack. 2. The Xoris build is benefiting from A LOT. It has Nourish, Roar, Melee Influence, and Melee Elementalist. For reference, Roar and Melee Elemenalist are multiplicative buffs, so they raise the damage so much that I don’t need to heavy attack at all. Essentially, I leveraged the Rhino build a ton. The light attack Xoris also has Weeping Wounds and Blood Rush for additional DoT scaling. I will try to get around to making a video though!

@@7BLANK I assumed the part about Blood rush and Weeping wounds, and that you're using Volatile rebound, seeing that you get multiple combo hits with each throw, but that leads to the issue of having to build combo, making the scaling slower until you get to 12x With a heavy attack build you get double explosion damage at base, then 2x more damage from Corrupt charge, and faster recall for more throws in the same amount of time. I'm not saying the build is bad, it's actually pretty neat and unique, but the playstyle feels odd until you get to the full potential, and falls behind in damage when used on any other frame without such powerful buffs. On a sidenote, I'm tired of seeing Nourish on every YT build, and try to avoid using it if I can. My default Rhino build uses his base kit, with 1+4 augments, meaning with just a few enemies I can get around 100k Iron skin, (using Nautilus' Cordon or Magus anomaly helps with the grouping for Ironclad charge) so I don't have to recast it for the rest of the mission, I just have to cast Roar and the ocasional Stomp, making it very energy efficient.

Astral Twilight, Whirlwind Sacrificial Steel, Shocking Touch, Condition Overload, Organ Shatter, Weeping Wounds, Blood Rush, Melee Elementalist, and Volatile Rebound. Sorry for the late reply. I appreciate the comment! :)

There are a lot of different choices. Tempest barrage is one of his best friends, or you could have some different kinds of damage buffs like rage or sentient wrath. Occasionally, elemental buffs like shock or thermal sunder are quite useful; armor strip subsumes are welcomed as always, or just get yourself a grouping ability (expect ensnare) since it breaks stomp 's cc early and allows total map control with high range. Or you can take the killing into your own hands by subsuming thermal sunder, aquablades, and majority of the subsumes that just deal damage. Basically, Rhino is a canvas. Choose whatever you feel like it as he pretty much had synergies with literally anything (or precisely, interaction with his base kits)

Tons of other options, to be honest. Nourish is my favorite for this build. To be honest, I tend to stay away from Nourish, because it’s just too good, and kind of overboard. Like Amolistic said, you can use nearly anything :)

@@filar33 Best of luck with that! Ocucor and Torid Incarnon are beasts for sure. Personally, I just like using comfort weapons, like Kuva Nukor. Remember that DoT receives squared buffs, so slash, heat, toxin, electric, and gas damage is amazing. Thanks for sharing :)

@@7BLANK Was using it on Arca Titron with the heavy slam. It didn't really seem noticable there. I know about the base crit interaction, but does modifying the crit with abilities affect the performance of it if it already has 90%+ base crit chance? Does that break the interaction?

I still think having a Tauforged Emerald Shard is best. You may not shred all armor, but it’s good enough. Of course you can use 2 normal ones if you want. I love having max armor shred because it nullifies a lot of enemy defenses. Sorry for the late reply by the way! Work n school calls. I appreciate your question :)

Cedo, Boar Prime Incarnon, Strun Prime Incarnon, Aeolak (multiplicative CO), Phantasma Prime. To be honest, you could pick anything. It comes down to skill in level cap, and Rhino makes everything viable.
