    The 1985 bears lost one game, to the Miami Dolphins coached by Don Shula. In 1972 the Miami Dolphins had a perfect season coached by Don Shula. So wouldn't that make the Miami Dolphins the greatest team of alltime, and Don Shula the greatest coach of alltime?

      McMahon stayed hurt and they had terrible backups so McMahons constant unavailability cost em 2 or 3 total rings... The 49ers beat them in the NFC title game twice! In 1988 McMahon played but he was washed up and only played half that season.. he had been out for several weeks when he came BK for the 88' NFC title game.... They replaced Payton nicely but just couldn't get a QB unlike the skins, giants, 49ers who had solid backups

    Better than the 1978 Pittsburgh Steelers? Outside of running back, where? The 1985 Bears were a great defense (to be fair, from 1983 to 1987 they were great), but look at the competition: 1985 playoff quarterbacks were Phil Simms (above average), Dieter Brock (garbage), Tony Eason (mediocre at best) and a washed up Steve Grogan. The 1978 Steelers had to go through the defending AFC Champion Denver Broncos, the Houston Oilers of Earl Campbell and the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Dallas Cowboys of Roger Staubach, Tony Dorsett, the Doomsday Defense and Tom Landry. Also, the amount of Hall of Famers on the Steelers is staggering compared to the 85 Bears. The secondary of the 78 Steelers are vastly superior to the 85 Bears. No question that the 85 Bears are in the top 5, but no defense dominated as well or as long as The Steel Curtain.

    • @VictoryDayz009
      @VictoryDayz009 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Those are some very valid points! The STEEL CURTAIN is up in the tier as well for me too. What puts me over the edge though is those season's stats. They've only been matched by the 2000 Ravens, by limiting opponents. I should do more work with the Steelers in the future, because they had PERSONALITIES too on that team.

    I don't agree with your opinion. Certainly the 1985 Chicago Bears had perhaps the best defense in NFL History, but their offense was pretty mediocre. They depended too much on Payton's running attack and forcing turnovers from the opponent and still had very low scores in most games. Dan Marino and the Dolphins gave them a blowout with everything and their great defense and broke their undefeated record of 11-0.

      @@nickhead9512 And Mahomes wouldn't have stepped on to a team that was already winning 11-13 games per season with Alex Smith at QB and surrounded talents like Hunt, Kelce, Hill, and many talented filler players along the way like Watkins. Allen took a perennial 6-8 win team and made them a perennial contender. Also, their head-to-head playoff stats are almost identical. Allen: 1,043yds, 9TD, 1INT Mahomes: 1,011yds, 9TD, 0INT I fail to see how the team being overmatched in the first meeting, the defense losing the game in a matter of seconds in the second meeting, and an NFL kicker missing a 47 yard field goal wide right of all places to effectively hand the win to the Chiefs has anything to do with Allen. If you just look at both QB's performances, they both played well enough for their respective teams to win, but Pat's teammates have played better than Allen's. Also, while people continue to shit on the Bills for losing to the Chiefs in the post-season we get the most hate because we are the only ones who even get close on a regular basis and give them the hardest game each post-season. If it were that easy to beat the Chiefs in the playoffs, teams would be doing it. Yet they aren't. Since 2018 the Chiefs have 3 playoff losses. 1 against Brady and the Patriots in the AFCCG, 1 against Brady and the Bucs in the Super Bowl. And 1 against the Bengals in the AFCCG after they played the Bills in a physically and emotionally draining game that became an instant playoff classic. People hate on the Bills for not beating the Chiefs in the post-season because they know their team doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of doing so, so they root for the Bills to do it, and get upset that their team won't have an easier road to a chip because the Bills put in the work FOR them.
