Only finding this video after almost two months, but I have to say, that I love Emily, hell I've been listening to her nonstop since LP's return at the beginning of september. Mike Shinoda knew what he was doing, he definitely knew better than the people in your comment section. She's the perfect choice, and I honestly couldn't be happier.

loving their new path so far, and Emily is one hell of a vocalist - massive grit, range, and skill - and inspired to learn her grit from hearing Chester in 2002 (who knew and loved her band). Some people just gotta hate without reason, or invent reasons to justify hate. (hate is a disease, just let it go)

Your take is reductive. She's a Scientologist. That cult doesn't believe in mental health. Everything Chester wrote and sang was about his own mental health struggles. A "person" (using that terms loosely) like Emily shouldn't be profiting off poorly covering the aforementioned songs, nor off the aforementioned artists bands name/IP. There would be nothing wrong with 3/5th of Linkin Park forming The Emptiness Machine with their new drummer, new stage guitarist, and Emily on vocals. It's the fact they're bastardizing everything that Chester was, and are too money hungry and cowardly to forge their own path forward with their own intellectual property, that's the problem here. It's sick and tasteless. Fuck this Linkin Park.

I love when they live perform their songs that have a censored curse word, because the audience always just YELLS the actual curse word, at least in the US, and it's hilarious. The guys always hold the mic out to the audience to let them do it, it cracks them up. Very fun moment to be a part of, lol

I'm just gonna say this. I love their new songs. "The Emptiness Machine", and "Heavy Is the Crown" are both very well written songs. However, I will agree with many when I say that she can't replace Chester. I personally believe they should strictly focus on new music, and not covers of songs that we'd much rather listen to Chester sing. They should stop the covers, they are not doing it for the fans. The new material can be a whole new chance for them to thrive again.

just discovered your channel and I will say I will def be staying!! also I came to say that recently they have dropped a live concert version of iNSTEAD! with Yoon Dohyun and as you could probably guess.. it was better than both the studio version and their live clip version 😫😫 they absolutely kill it on stage every time,, hope you get around to watching / reacting to that and their other live concert versions !!! Loved the video 🖤

For the second song: The hangul title means “Rock” but also happiness/pleasure, pronounced “lock”. And the English title is LaLaLaLa which is a vocalization of music. The 3 monsters looming over the kids are also represented in the kanji on the one wall for anger, sadness, joy (also happiness) As the kids overcome their fear and other emotions, each monster disintegrates as does the corresponding kanji character until the monsters are gone and only the character for happiness/rock is left. The action in the video is all happening in the kids imaginations which is why the camera keeps zeroing back to the kids’ eyes. Their minds are reimagining different movie scenes (bank heist in “the Dark Knight”, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Max, etc) as them fighting off their stage fright and anxiety. And there are 8 little kids performing like there are 8 Stray Kids members. At the end it’s just them victorious over their fears because they followed the song’s meaning, let go of all the negative stuff, let the music take them over, and found happiness in that moment. They all sing, rap, and dance and participate in creating the sound and visuals of their songs. 3 of the members do all of the writing and producing and then for some songs the others also do some of the writing. I love the mix of genres they have. Also Changbin has been clocked at I think an average of 11+ syllables per second.

Coming form someone who never really got why people like linkin park so much. apart form a few songs i found them pretty unremarkable or worth my time. but they don't sound at all the same. seems like a ploy to ride of their previous success instead of making their own new things. Emily is a bad choice to replace Chester and just doesn't sound good overall in general. Granted LP isn't my cup of tea anyways but man that new song fucking blew.

This was truly a time. I have never been so invested in a comeback like I was for this one. It released during peak lockdown, they went viral. This was the album where they finally "found their niche" and were propelled the furthest they'd ever been in their career. An exiting time I remember fondly. In hindsight, it was the first real taste of the massive success they'd come to find in the following years. ☺️

Agree to disagree, Mike should have just made it a new band. They sound like a Paramore cover band trying to do Linkin Park music, its terrible. Their is no replacing Chester, EVERYONE KNOWS THIS, so why are they trying to? And you can't say this isn't trying to, when they literally could have just made a new band with her.

she has no vocal range, her morals and character are straight opposite of what chester was about, no we dont blindly get behind the band. we are more a part of the band than emily will ever be and this was a terrible move. just make a new band or get some one who has talent.
