Lifting massive weights off the floor tends to give you some rather awesome facial expressions. Behold the beauty.

    Is it weird that they always have to interview them after the event? Im surprised Eddie didn't get annoyed, just sweating and suffering after an event getting dumb comments in his face.

    • @ShyBoy6ty9
      @ShyBoy6ty9 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. They do it in other sports as well. It just happens that strongman is a fair bit more demanding, and it's harder to breathe after an event.

    I saw The Great Strongman of the 1950's Paul Anderson, also known by many as the "Dixie Derrick," dead lift 850 lbs. barefooted during the Virginia "State" Olympic Weightlifting Championship in the year of 1965...and it was not that difficult for him. I stood there astounded. Remember that was over 50 years ago...incredible. Remember many of the Strong Man feats that Paul Anderson performed were never recorded for posterity. Why? Because back in those early days we were all "Amateur Athletes." Sadly Paul Anderson lost his Amateur status when he received monies for strength shows he would put on for the public. Those monies he made went towards a home for wayward Boys. A "Christian Home" as Paul was a Christian. I met him that day and I must say for all who never met him that Paul Anderson was by every stretch a Gentleman, not ever exalting himself above anyone as His Strength was the witness bearer requiring no one to have to say a word after his performance.. Yes he was a real Gentleman and it was a Privilege to have had the opportunity to meet and speak with him. (By the way I received my Trophy for first Place in the State championships that year from Paul.)...."friendfromyesteryear"

    6:05 it looks like Benni started his lift too early and on his toes. He tried a second time with the bar closer to his shins but that never works in a deadlift.

    These guys have no idea how to lift. No wonder they've all had multiple surgeries. Sure they lift heavy, but their form is horrible. Just accidents waiting to happen. And they do happen. Every single one of them has major injuries.
