How fast can this car go
Pleasee post more clk content ILL FOR SURE B WATCHING 💯💯🤙🏽😊
do you have to press anything like to turn off traction ?? Or you just punch the gas ?? I just gotten a clk 55 Amg Recently n wanna know more about it bossman
I remember watching this run over and over again trying to learn a kickflip. He did them so smooth and his skate style was just real chill to me at that time.
Not only were the skateboards harder to pop back then, you also had the handicap of your pants falling down all the time.
Oh man, the commentator talking about size and mass. ESPN just getting traditional sportscasters to call color commentary on a sport that was essentially just starting is funny
I guess kick flips are front side 180 late shuvits now
I'm a huge fan of the nollie 'oop' trick
You have to haul ass to get around that park. Impressive.
The BOSS of what exactly>????
You want to go bowling? Nico
Those courses were wack
A manual is a nose wheelie 😐
A manual is a nose wheelie 😐
There’s something nostalgic hearing how terrible Paul Higgins was as an announcer and how Jack Edwards, who didn’t know anything about skateboarding, BMX or rollerblading, but you could tell he was trying hard to learn about it.
How many quarter Pipes do you need? The X-Games: Yes!
I changed my Thrasher name to SennHater98 after this contest. I dont know why but i just thought, wow thay guy is beat
G.Rowley - USA. Lol
he was skating out of california at the time he moved to america in 94ish
Loatening to these dumb ESPN paid announcers is crazy....brings back high school memories of correcting them. Lol my dad used to like the skating vert and BMX vert so my dad used to watch EVERY x games with me as a teen and i. My 20s when he wasnt locked up. Hes gine now and fathers days still suck for me. Even tho i have 3 of my own and 1 grandson. Thinking abt my dad still makes me cry off n on all day on fathers day, its still fresh he just died November 16th 2022.
Sick! Never heard of a Nollie-oop. Lol.
Bro the names on these tricks are hilarious 😂
I’ll be darned.. I manual is a nose wheelie!!
Jamie Thomas welcome to hell bs 50 50 I’m intro..
I have this duffs shoe in 1998,Santos signature💯
He rode for Vans though.

"Nose wheelie" epic
I couldn't stop thinking about how he said that after I heard it... 😂
I like nose wheelie
What a crap park for street!
A lot of parks were like this in the 90's... good for bikers, though.
When he unleashed the 360 kick flip, “spinning the board a full revolution” jaw dropped
Lol who is that guy? I thought he said it about the revert
@@PowuhToSeven I don’t know but he’s thorough 🤣
Dude your content is killer!!!! You have these tapes? Where’d you find this stuff bro 🤟
Thanks bro! Back when we recorded shows on VHS, I happened to record an entire day of the 1998 X games with commercials and all. I finally went through and digitized some of the good stuff. Some of my favorites were the Nike skate commercials and were well before Nike SB even started. It’s pretty awesome the platform Nike gave to skateboarding back then.
He's wearing those OG sk8 Nikes
Look at the skatepark, the size of stuff, the angles... They ported a CAP from THPS
Inline and bmx probably used it too
Duderoller blades and BMX had to use the course too, dumfkk
haven't heard "360 kickflip" in a long time
"He is very good at kick flips". - Tell me more... "Errr... Disaster"!
Skating backwards now
Nice golf commentary
Pat channita suck Those hands Pfffffffff Not pro
a full rotation of the board
@@djacroama yikes lol I thought he said that about the revert
I swear the sky was brighter back then
Oh it was......there's a reason 4 this too. Look into bro.
It wasnt so jacked up with chem trails. Life was more pure back then.
The commentators for this were hilariously bad
How's she treating you so far?
Amazing
@@jasonblanzyI own a 2002 CLK55 AMG. Love that car & an absolute BLAST to drive.
The commentators have come a long way
Check the 80s out…makes you laugh
wuz there
Skatepark is atrocious😮
Duxe, BMX and roller blades all used the same course. That one's geared more towards BMX. Which proves even further than gen x skaters had it tougher. Along with their 7.5, 7.62 and 7.75 decks. Nobidy skated an 8 or 8.12 or 8.25 other than vert guys. Back then scarecrow and creature and Santa Cruz and Consolidated (all NHS companies go figure😅) made special cruisr boards that were 9s sometimes even 10 inches wide and had a longer wheel base. Creature had official Misfits decks back then 4 the cruisers!Santa cruz's had the evil dude surfing the big knife. Go look at an old school late or mid 90s CCS catalog online dude lol look at the shoes, pants, tee designs and decks pay attention to the dimensions of the boards it'll blow ur mind how many pros rocked 7.5 and 7.62. Skating damn Santa Monica triple set in some huge shoes huge pants tiny wheels and a 7.5 x30 deck😅 MAYBE 31 lmfaooooo concave almost non existent, couldn't feel it anyway cuz of our shoes😅 Pros back in the 90s had it WAY harder. I'd love to see these tik tok "pros" use our shoes, tiny 42mm wheels and 7.5 x 30.25 decks😅ON STREET SHIT NOT FREESTYLE , Cuz nobody would land shit. But they did kickflips , pressure anything flips, and tre flips so quickly 360 n 540 shut its spun so perfectly with little effort, especially if u rocked Titan Ti Lite titanium trucks or on like tensor or gullwing something light ....barely even had to scoop back then lol I learned pressure flips on 3 hits of black pyramid gel tab acid with the gold speckles- rainbow family doses, in 98 at age 14 on a 7.5 quim Cardona zoo York w Ti Lites and purple flip trippin shrooms wheels with China bones....bones reds to you kids out there😅 It went so slow and smooth, I felt pro. I landed like 5 in a row then started doing pressure flip body varials but spinning was too much while I was tripping lmfao I couldn't see shit but blurred lines of everything and trails😅
Pat's very good🙂 at Kickflips😀
haha, I met him right before this.
Can I have your autograph?
@@BB-rt9nc Can I have a free board? lol. he said no.
who remembers them handing out free mt dew and slim jims at this X games?
As it should be😌
the guy who designed that "street" course was stuck in 1985
Those courses doubled as the BMX course too
Thank you for uploading these and your own amateur tapes. I would go back to that time period in a heartbeat
Thanks! The more I do go back, the more it just seems to make sense. Simpler times don’t ever have to be forgotten.
Such a sick disaster on that handlebar going down backwards 🤙
Daaaafuqqqqqqq
Seriously😂. Is that Joe Buck?
Front board, no disaster was in this video
@@paceyourself5652 Whoooshhh
ACkTuALLy ☝️🤓
These commentators didn’t know all that much about skateboarding did they? 😄
FS biggie is also known as kickflip don't question it
It kinda felt a little bit like they we’re gaining the knowledge during the run At the beginning «technical skater? What’s that?» End of run «he landed fakie and wen’t over the hip!»
@@BaggyPop agreed 😂🙏
The first few years they hired random power-tier broadcasters to do play by play. It was only later that Jason Ellis et al got involved
