I love this!! You have given me an idea to not have to tear out my tile❤❤❤❤❤
Yay! That’s why I came up with this plan to paint. It buys TIME for sure. It’s been over 2 years and still perfect.
If you like woodworking just look for WoodPrix instructions
this was an ok tutorial i guess. but what you kind of forgot one of the most important steps. what you did to prep it. i happen to know from personal experience that without proper prep it will peel right off regardless of what kind of paint you use.
Yes, prep is key. This is a comprehensive video that includes cleaning and prepping your shower before painting.

Thanks for posting this video, so helpful and great advice of not using any abrasive cleansers. I was looking for days to find these. Thanks for a great video
Sounds interesting 🌻
I use the hole on the tool to cut tip on stuff and a large nail to puncture the inside before I start applying caulk. Or I buy the self stick caulk.
I’d rather listen to a longer, clear and concise video than a short one where the creator speaks too fast and you can’t understand unless you slow down the playback or put on the cc🥹! To each his/her own✌🏾 Old advice: If you don’t have anything nice to say… think of something; before you criticize!
I’m here to learn ( longer videos offer that). I’m not here to be entertained (instant gratification doesn’t )! Don’t be so rude!
I hope you will make a condensed version as this is too long. Good information but too long
Clips too short and too fast :(
PERFECT, I'm going to try this. Great job and explanation
You got it! Let me know how it goes!
Will this work for porcelain tile as well?
It will! The primer makes it so you can paint glossy slick surfaces.
Stain
Is it ok to do 2 coats of paint with the sprayer?
Absolutely! Just wait 2 hours or more between coats when spraying.
@ they look awesome! Thank you so much. I guess I can’t share my photo!
@@kimmitchell3139 YAY!! So glad you are happy 🤩
Just in case for those beginning to do this THIS is for WHITE cushions only, as bleaching non white fabric will f*** it up😅
I've used bleach on solution dyed outdoor fabrics like Sunbrella. Yes, to be safe white only 😂
Thanks for taking the time to share. You might want to paint from the furthest door and work backwards so you're not going to have to worry about dragging cords in wet paint. I'd also would have used a small roller for inside the house on the faceframes for a smoother finish after you used the brush
Agree, when I film I don't work the way I normally would so my behind is out of the way! I find using a roller on the face frames pushes the paint out on the roller causing drip. By using a brush, I have better control of the amount of paint I'm applying in such a small area. Thanks for your feedback and advice! It may help others.
Why would someone ‘not interested in whether or not their closet inside are aesthetically pleasing or not’ watch a video titled “ DIY Wire Shelf Cover for $25”? 🤡 😂😂😂
What color is in this video?
It’s Sherwin Williams Niebla Azul.
The actual switches are. Brown for mine. So idk if you can spray the whole thing
It's really easy to swap out the switches too! They are cheap. I have an OLD, but basic tutorial to install light switches: th-cam.com/video/21M7wXQHiGA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ORZqowZb9VvAFk5j
I absolutely LOVE this! I am trying to make my black office chair rose Gold! The shimmer makes it difficult, perhaps this pretty pink is a better idea.
Thanks! Yes, the shimmer may wear off on you...
Help! I think My primer was too thin on the 2nd side
Not a problem! Wait an hour and apply another coat. You may need to increase the power of the spray. Test on cardboard until you get the coverage right.
@@passion.project I hope it works! I will try tomorrow. I had to use my brush because it was going to pool and drip. 🤦🏻♀️
cool
This is awesome 🤩
So glad it helps!!
No paint can last in shower, period. There are products that are used for tub and tiles that are way better than this
Hmmm, I beg to differ and worked in the paint industry plus consulted with the product experts at Sherwin Williams (they own Valspar) before painting this shower. It can last a long time - 5 years, but isn’t permanent. It’s a great option if you want to be able to choose the color, sheen or do a faux marble effect like I did. Can’t do that with an epoxy based product. Mine has been in use for over 2 years and is still perfect 👍🏻

The video is too long with unnecessary too much talking
Or it’s very thorough to teach you how to create a faux wood finish with paint. Some people want all the details and a little hand holding. Hope you find a less informative version that fits your needs…
@@porchdaydreamer I did
@@JB-gs4ipmay I ask which video you found that was less wordy? Thank you in advance

Way too much cost. Look for off cuts and trim them yourself. 10 bucks and i covered 8 16x24 shelves.
How did you accomplish this?
I'm all about finding ways to save money too, but I wanted to create a solution for anyone that doesn't have the time, space or tools to cut trim!
Why TF would you paint a beautiful stone? Somebody find this lady and arrest her 😂

When I did this the only modification I did was place the tiles and cut out the outlets instead of cutting around them.
Yep! Wish I would have done that!
Reason? Because it's CHEAP!

How long does the paint last with cleaning the shower at least weekly?
It's been a couple of years for me! If you prepare the surface, fill cracks, and follow this method plus be gentle when cleaning it should be find for years.
Could this method apply to a sectional sofa with multiple pillows going from the native light peach colored, silky material to a dark plum, emerald, or cranberry paint? As you were applying the Scotchgard, I wondered if your recipe would work with a spray gun. Spray in the direction of the nap. Flip piece and spray in the opposite direction. Or for those who do not have a spray gun. You create a line of upholstery ratlle cans with your special recipe, and I will only ask for ten percent for the original idea...lol. I'm just saying. Furniture upholstery painting is for the brave. There is no going back after that first brush stroke. Thanks for the infusion of courage.
Hi! Wow, so many good questions. I also have a written tutorial with more information: porchdaydreamer.com/paint-upholstery-furniture-fabric/ So I thought about spraying the paint too, BUT I am concerned the paint wouldn't fully penetrate the "nooks and crannies" of the fabric. I very thin cotton may be able to be sprayed. Applying with a brush gave me control to make sure I didn't over apply and could work the fabric paint mixture into the weave/nap/seams of the fabric. Honestly, it doesn't take that much extra time to hand apply. Spraying truly is best to get a smooth factory finish on furniture and cabinets. Not necessary with furniture fabric 😂 Love the paint color ideas for the sofa! See if you can look under the cushions to find out what type of material it is. When you say "silky" that leaves me wondering ha ha. You can't paint silk or taffeta. If the sofa has a drop skirt covering the legs, you could always try to paint the underside to see how the fabric responds before going full on fabric painting mode. Hope all of this helps!!
