for anyone that built this on java. if you want to get 100% of the kelp, put blocks behind the observers instead of the pistons. It will cause only 1 piston to fire, so it can stay a water source block and be able to go to the top

im like 3 years late but my kelp is now flowing up, the pistons destroyed the sources and the items are now stuck below the piston line since the line of water in front of the pistons are not sources anymore :( edit : nevermind, the second piston activation somehow fixed it and it's working now, excellent farm ! 👍

Im not sure but I don't see how this works, the pistons break the water source block every time it triggers... so the kelp will just stay on the bottom tile forever..? no?

It’s taking me so long to get a few levels over 30 with my mob farm but I don’t trust myself to get there any other way, I keep dying when I just play the game normally lol. Gonna be so worth it though. Thanks for sharing this awesome hack

In Java, after the Activator Rail kicks me off, the Minecart stops on the unpowered Powered Rail, so it doesn't run in to the Cactus :(

i just use workstations. place the workstation, wait until the villager reaches it, then break it and place it further away.
