Engraving Travertine tile on the xTool P2 Laser
มุมมอง 770ปีที่แล้ว
I decided to see how engraving travertine tile on the xTool P2 Laser would do. I used 80% power, 150mm/s, 3 passes, and 200 lines per cm. It took about 20 or 30 minutes if I recall correctly.

Any idea why my machine suddenly started to have smoke come from under the machine?
The link says it’s no longer available
Hello! My laser pushes the alternator out after it's turned on. It can't get it back up.
Need a video on how to use the cup holders because I’m having a fit trying to engrave child size bottles
I get Qx14 2 I’ve took off the cap and cleaned the sensor for it and error still pops up could it be I didn’t flip the cap on correctly?
Great video. Placed an order.
Just received mine, and they are AWESOME!! Well done sir!!
Awesome!
Just ordered a set and they arrived so fast! Thank you for designing and manufacturing these quality clips! I appreciate this video.
i tried the link that you said to reset the laser and it isnt letting me reset it at all am i downloading the correct one?
This was a huge help for me! Thank you!
I see you have a lot of videos. I am new. I just bought my M1 less than a month ago and my laser module is making a loud noise. I have tried so hard to get through to technical support and everything is done through email. Any ideas of what’s going on with it?
If it's making noise when it moves to the left rear corner, then the chances are that your air assist hose is getting behind the laser module or gantry. It would be best if you joined the "xTool M1 Official Group" on Facebook. People can help with your problem there. A photo will show if the hose is a problem.
Big thank you for the help and great exeplanation.
I would like to order this for S1 and F1! If I keep the stock fans in the machine and run an line more powerful fan, is it still a big improvement or the stock fans in the machine if I don't remove them negate the added benefit (ie they just get in the way and cant handle the added air flow).
Yes, there's still quite an improvement if you don't remove the internal fan. With nearly 30% more area for airflow, and a larger hose, it works great. I do suggest at least a 400CFM inline fan, which will probably be a 6" fan. Most of the smaller 4" fans do not have enough airflow.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
How do I tighten my X and Y axis? All of my images and words are off centered by like and inch.
I just got mine - and I can't tell you how happy I am!!! I have been struggling to get things square, and the xtool clips just don't make the cut, even with my small hands. You are awesome, and your products are game changers!!
Received mine! Thanks so much; and thanks for the video. Very satisfied customer. 🎉
I noticed you have a ruler on 2 sides of your honeycomb. Where did you get those? are they adhesive backed?
That's the way mine came from xTool.
Super helpful, I was trying to figure out why the tumbler keep spinning, thank you so much
Thank you for the video, my exhaust fan does not work, do you think its related to this maintenance?
Hello, I just bought my F1 and started using the RA2, when I wanted to center the piece I couldn't locate it correctly. I also can't get it to return to the starting area, to record the same image again with IR to perfect the trace. could you guide me?
I don’t have an F1, so I’m not sure how to do that.
Just got .. I am glad i googled Xtool S1 Exhaust Port....😃
I'm here now researching.. thanks for your comment now my search will get better 🙏
You've got some great designs! Any recommendations for smoke escaping out the tops of the light shielding plates?
Thank you for the vid! Can you do one on properly reinserting the ribbon cable in the track?
The slat clips and locators work so amazingly well, that I am disappointed they didn't come with my P2. :-)
I just received mine from you and can't wait to use them. I too drop the xTool ones all the time..
The sound of the xTool clips dropping on the metal tray (and the associated grumbling noises when the clips inevitably fall underneath the slats) is something we all recognize. So glad I don't have to deal with those again!
Definitely ordering this! I’m looking to vent out of our side door in the garage with an inline fan, could you recommend a good 6” exhaust hose?
I have reduced my 6" fan down to 4" tube, so I can't really recommend any particular hose.
Great Video. Thanks!
Hi Mike, Thanks for sharing the video about the M1 Laser maintenance, lots of good stuff in there. Im having issues with camera alignment in as much as the picture shown by the camera is not where my engraving ends up. Can you help please? Be gentle with your answer as I am a newbie to the laser world and not very tech savvy. Thanks in advance. David
The first time I did a deep clean, my ribbon cable was never back in the same way. I think it's twisted. Can you do a video on how to reinsert it correctly if taken most of the way out? Does the blue writing on the cable face upward or downward?, etc.

The air craft connector comes with ra2?
Are these able to extend? I’d be a buyer if able to put 1/2” material under these pins.
Great video. I'm trying to engrave on a tapered wood mug using the P2 and RA2 Pro chuck attachment. Round logo on a taper is challenging :(. This layout info is helpful. I've been using the major diameter of the mug cylinder to calculate the perimeter in software and my square design ends up shaped like an isosceles trapezoid. I am going to try using the diameter in the middle of the design location to see if that "squares up" the engraving - as opposed to 'warping' the design to try to match.
Greetings. I purchased your leveling tool for the RA2 Pro and just wanted to let you know that I can really appreciate the quality of the design and the manufacturing. Top Notch, sir. Thanks. Sub'd
Thank you for the great feedback. I really strive for top quality in all that I do.
And this is why I so badly want a co2 laser. Thank you for sharing your results, it looks great.
Congratulations, at least you got something to work on the M1 . . . I'm still trying to remove the steel base plate so I can install it on the riser portion. Alas, one of those five tiny screws is uncooperative - three of the four I did get out showed signs of a thread-locking compound, not exactly evidence of brilliant engineering when you need a removable part. Other than the fact the riser base is held together by gravity and the acrylic panels don't slide correctly, the design is at least aesthetically pleasing. Thanks for the tip on the dry lube; I'll give it a shot.
I had the same problem with the screws. Thankfully I stopped when it was half stripped, and my builder could get it out with his fancy right-angle screwdriver adapter. I'm not very impressed by the precarious riser base and all the blue light I can see while using it. It's disappointing to me that I need to use it to use the honeycomb. I might just go back to using the prisms for now.
I did all that, and the laser hub came off track and now is shaky and loose. can't get the cover back in place over the fan. Had the Qx14 issue right out the box.
How can I get the laser tight again on the track? And having an issue with getting the top back on the fan. Help..
TREMENDOUSLY HELPFUL!!!! thank you so much! best instructions I've seen so far for the rotary tool on the xtool M1.
mine just came! im so excited!
Xtool M1 worked fine for me, and now when it goes to the place of work and when it returns, it draws a strip along the way. help me please
You'll need to contact xTool support on that one, it's probably an electronics issue.
Just looked at your store page for this product and there is no digital option. No reason to ship plastic to me I already have on hand. Please sell the STL/OBJ/STEP, or I might just reverse engineer from this video.
I did consider it earlier with some of my other products, but when people only wanted to buy the STL's for $1, I decided against it.
@@lakeshore3dI agree $1 is way too low for the digital download. If you offer them for $4 or so, I'll bet you'll get a lot of takers that otherwise wouldn't buy the plastic from Etsy... me included.
what would you be willing to sell them for? @@lakeshore3d
What a peach...always somebody gotta say something or try and ruin a good thing
Thank you!!!
What if i do all of that and it still doesnt work ? it does nothing when I tried the reset too :(
can't wait to try these out. order placed 😊
Great, thank you! Let me know how you like them!
My P2 just arrived today. These look great! Ordered!!
