You can't code launch control, it's in the tcu. You can add it with xhp. I'm not a fan of mhd but you need a charge pipe at the very least. Really before you even mod it as it will break on a stock x3. An intercooler upgraded is really needed as well even though it's not said to be a requirement.

@giovannysolis3362 I have one in my 240 and x3 and its been fine and it's been over 90 recently. Shouldn't be an issue but if it is, thats why amazon has a warranty. It'll be at least a week before the video is up.

It should affect fhat but I do not know. Mine didn't have nav etc so it doesn't have the 2g/3g system.

​ @n55david it's written into the onboard memory and online if you do the service at the bmw dealership. I have the same system as you (no navigation) and the system has still a SIM card inside for the connected drive system from bmw. I will just buy the screen and see for myself if the service history will be shown or not. Are you still happy with the system, or does it make problems after 3months of use? Ps great video :)!

You don't need to do any coding with this screen.

It uses the oem mic and everything still. Nothing changes in that regard.

@brakthru2 unless it's built into the screen itself, no. I haven't needed to mess with that since you can utilize the oem hardware to make it simple.

It was the lpfp itself that was the issue. The ekp was just fine.

@@n55david okay awesome I was worried it’s the ekp they aren’t easy to get ahold of I hear and I’m getting a new stage 2 hpfp and spool stage 2 lpfp with the pure 750 for the next little bit so I’m hyped for that

@Dapper.M235i oh yeah, with that lpfp ypu will kill the ekp. It's just a matter of time. So yeah. You'll need a solution or just have extra ekps and wiring handle. Trust me on that .

I sold the cat with just over 100k miles. It made about 550 to 600hp. It wasn't bad tbh. Did full fluid changes and trans fluid twice in that time. I did the water pump as preventative maintenance. The rest was plugs and oil changes. The newer bmws aren't bad at all for maintenance, it's the older stuff that can be.

Honestly, they were an eBay find. Just make you're getting them for an f25. I ran into that same issue at first. I think I seen them on Amazon too.

I've never seen it not be switched, it will kill the battery if it wasnt. It takes a few minutes for it to shut down with the module. You just didn't wait long enough.

It was a little quiet in this nearly 4yo video wasn't it? It's much much louder in all the newer pnes..

It still looks strange to me but I don't hate it. I really like the euro lci version too.

I had the 3.5bar sensor. You need it to run over 21psi.. it doesn't increase performance at all.. just allows the csr to read boost properly above 21psi.

@@n55david Oh ok. Well on my stage 2 only car stock turbo it allowed the higher boost and the car feels way better now. Anyway how do you like the M240. I need a 2 series now that is cheaper and RWD for track use.

Yes.. you can switch back and forth between the oem idrive. You can set this to use the factory Bluetooth channel and it will play the radio still while you use android auto.

Yeah for sure. I never did get a regular stage 2 dragy though but it's a decent gain

You can resell a bootmod3 license.. it comes with everything included cept a $50 cost to unlock all of the ots maps behind 1 free one. Logging is included and has a much better interface... Flex fuel actually works, and generally makes more power if you do the hpfp (applies to n55 and b58 gen 1) mhd does some cool things but for me bm3 is the better choice.

No, it's Linux based so it's not laggy really at all. No issues with the oem interface, zero issues. I think it's 6gb ram though. Not positive. All I knew is that it was food for a buddy of mine and really inexpensive so I tried it. Love it.

Honestly.. idk.. it's Linux and not andorid and doesn't seem to have any lag or delays tbh.. the storage doesn't matter as it has USB for storage expansion but honestly, I'll never use it so again I don't know I just wanted something to upgrade the screen and it worked out better than I expecred.

Charge pipe is the absolute first thing. Drop in air filter that's not a k&n.. and intercooler (this is really the 2nd most importantthing after chargepipe). I prefer bootmod3 but if you like mhd you're fine. Xhp for the trans stuff.. As far as other things you wanna do, trans service is a must do and watch the water pump. If you're at 70k+ I would do it as preventative.

Some multimaps have e30 map in them, some don't. You need to open the multimap and see what maps are a part of the multimap. If it lists e30 then the mumtimap will work.

Hey David yea I would like a link to it, also I'm trying to reach out to someone to find out exactly which connector do I connect the flex fuel kit into on the 2014 F25 x3 35i I did an install just like u did but the model at the kick panel is different n mine keep reading zero (ECA) even in my bm3 app. I tap into a black connector above the blue 1 at the bottom.

@jamiethorpe4145 ohh I don't know. I would reach out to pro tuning freaks directly. You may need the old ekp harness? I'm working on getting the link for the x3 version of the display. I am going to get one myself and will do a video on it.

Bootmod3.. you can adjust the burble settings yourself so they sre how you like it. Use these guys and this link. Get the map pack too. Once you have it, and get all connected and setup I can walk you through the settings.

I double-checked, since i have the plate i can look up the vin etc and it is infact a 2017 2.7 sport. Not that it matters, it's still slow.
