That was a cheap dig at boost games. Theyre not as braindead as you implied. I think they share a similar philosophy with the genesis games, especially the Rush games. But I find them more fun. Managing the physics to pin point accuracy in the Genesis games isnt rewarding for me, its maddening. I consider hard-core Genasis fans masochists. I will say that because of the type of person I am, I always instinctively go for the "mellow" route in these games. I get bored easily but never challenge myself because the game doesnt force me too. I think I like the boost games more because they force to reflect on my performance because of the ranking system and force me to get creative. And because I find it inherently fun im willing to do it. I dont feel the same way with the Genesis games. Theyre not the visually captivating spectacles that I look for in Sonic games. Its funny that you compare the CD intro to the feeling of skilled Genesis gameplay. I think Genesis games look boring compared to pure spectacles like the CD intro and the boost games, but there is a lot of depth to them.

I'm disappointed that you would use your music theory knowledge just to try and pinpoint someone as a thief. If you can find a song with something in common with another, you can change it up enough to get a similar or even the same melody. It doesn't make it stolen; it could be inspired, a coincidence, or even just a mix of common techniques in music. If someone with enough knowledge tries hard enough to prove something, they can probably make a convincing argument. The riff you’re focusing on predates spear of justice, you can hear that exact melody throughout undyne’s themes and encounters, it’s just a basic ostinato. The keychange of a semitone up was already firmly established throughout undyne’s tracks, especially her eponymous theme. To add onto this, toby specifically rewrote spear of justice to better fit undyne’s bombastic and heroic personality. With all this in mind, does it not seem more reasonable that the spear of justice we have now was composed organically and not a co composition?

I mean, I firmly believe something was lost when Sonic added the rank system. This video seems to say that we haven't properly played the game unless we play it as if it HAD said system.

Good video. I think you don't like speedrunning because you imagine you have to aim for a personal best. Imagine if you went for a personal best score every run. That wouldn't be much fun. So I think you'd have fun speedrunning if you just stayed in the moment, like what you've done with score. Edit: Your voice is fun to listen to. Although i think sonic 3 is the best of classic sonic games, The problem is that there are many other games that i like more than sonic 3, so if i go for a self inflicted challenge to play a game i would probably choose another game, because this concept is not exclusive to sonic 3 and knuckles, you can play like this in like 90% of 80s to 90s games. Also that thing about not being qualified to judge a game quality because you played on easy came out of nowhere and makes no sense.
