Abandoned Heritage Protected Converted House Stables
มุมมอง 4118 หลายเดือนก่อน
Was on the market for many years until it fell into Abandonment and a state of disrepair, this historic building known as the "Stables" was originally built in the late 1800s by the well known businessman A J White to house his horses, and with a hay loft on the upper floor. Converted in the 1950s into three flats. We believe it went on the market as it would'nt have met the requirements for th...
Seddonville History Explore
มุมมอง 5K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
Seddonville was named after Prime Minister of New Zealand Richard Seddon. It was established in the late 19th century as a mining community after the discovery of significant coal reserves in the area. Several mines nearby opened, with varying degrees of success,[7] until the last one closed in 1986, due to having up to 6% sulphur in its coal.[8] Coal was first discovered in 1862,[9] when the N...

Blackball was a centre of New Zealand radicalism and workers' militancy. With that music I'm thinking the doom man is about to jump out and start slaying 😈
In an undisclosed publicly place in the Nelson Tasman region, there is abandoned mine or quarry , that even has steel structures standing, it’s not known to many as it’s in the middle of the bush and hard to spot on Google maps, many stories of sightings of paranormal there, I only been once and it’s scary af - i don’t necessarily believe in paranormal but, i have to admit in old abandoned buildings there is a weird energy you feel.
Is that the one with the steel door going underground?
@ not too sure about a door going underground, but there is a large pond that has eels in it
@Alfiy_Wolf very interested to know more, perhaps give us a message on our Facebook page, The Forsaken Explorer NZ
Good to see you got to it and it looks pretty much the same as it was when I was there.
Nice, yeah love this explore because the history of this old building i find fascinating

Hi Nick. Yes sorry been flat out so haven't had a chance to get in a video. I can't remember the cyclone name but this one is South island. Thank you for watching and commenting Merry Christmas 🎄

Chasm creek walkway has been closed due to the building of a new walking bridge at great expense and is either open now or not far off.
Looks so cool
Underground, needs a flash light, and has sunnies on. Mate that’s when we know you value image more than content
Hahaha, nah i needed the sunglasses so i could look at the bright camera lights, they are blinding
This house is beautiful! Good old sistema on the coal range 😆
The pound with a storage shed built early 1980,s Also that beautiful red brick building was very a very diffrent design from all asylums around the world it had a day room with a watch deck on top. I know more than most about Tokanui as much as I despise the place I know exactly why how and allways the reason why I do love but hate the place so much.
MAD PROPS 2 MAD PROPS 🤏
Taylor s was always a bit unsafe especially on high tide and always remembered when we went over their for two nights we went a bit hungry and ran out of food we had to be ready to leave if the tide got to high but the roar of the waves was really loud it is a very spiritual place good to see their are some of us who have not given up on the real Ness of nature and have a genuine respect for nature and the way life used to be sea sand fishing and walking climbing 🎉
This video/ place haunts me. I saw it about a year ago and every now and then I think about it. Had to come back and watch. I love nz history. Thanks so much for your channel.
My grandmother used to work here, she still has her set of keys somewhere from when it shut down. My cousin and I have always wanted to go and explore. It's great to see what it looks like behind the fences
Awesome video dude. I have "Go South" on DVD, and it has a cab view of the newer version of this tunnel in its entirety.
Thanks for sharing keep doing what you're doing all the best take care
went to school next door, xmas shows at the hall (ok 5-12 years olds performing).
Are you sure you had safety people on the outside when you entered the mine? I can't see how a GPS locator can work inside a mine tunnel under ground. Doesn't it need to be able to "see" & pick up satellites to show your position?
Yes, always have a safety person outside, yes it's a specialized equipment can work until you reach 800 metres, thank you for watching and commenting 😎👍
The pattern on the Carpet is called 'Fleur de lis. The fleur-de-lis, also spelled fleur-de-lys (plural fleurs-de-lis or fleurs-de-lys),[pron 1] is a common heraldic charge in the (stylized) shape of a lily (in French, fleur and lis mean 'flower' and 'lily' respectively). Most notably, the fleur-de-lis (⚜️) is depicted on the traditional coat of arms of France that was used from the High Middle Ages until the French Revolution in 1792, and then again in brief periods in the 19th century. This design still represents France and the House of Bourbon in the form of marshalling in the arms of Spain, Quebec, and Canada - for example.
Waste of buildings homes and land ...
People should be aware that while the Seddonville (North entrance) is closed some way in because of the rockfall, it is still better than nothing and you can get some good sightseeing in until you hit that. The DOC signage on Charming Creek Rd Seddonville explains this clearly. Because if you try go in the Ngakawau (Southern entrance) way it is not going to happen. It is impassable now due to the slip you point out at 23;00. which is no longer a 'wee' one but huge. I wished we had known this in advance but we got so much misinformation even after the fact. Some point between April and now things got a lot worse probably due to the extreme weather through October. Anyway it;s a shame and one day perhaps I'll try again but it's unlikely I will be able to do so.
Yes was completely unpassable when i went too and sign posted but i climbed over all the slips to make this video, thank you for watching and commenting 😎👍
Where is the entrance?
That was not a pigeon it was accurate
