They aren't using relay technology now it's a computer to open Ur doors and then the odb socket to start the car so quick and only the ghost immobilizer and a good steering lock will slow them down.

the steering lock is never defeated by messing with the lock. They are defeated by cutting the steering wheel. Steering wheels are very soft because well, its the first thing your chest hits in an accident. I thought everyone knew that.

LMAO its not the lock on the steering wheel lock thats the weak point, its the steering wheel,,,, it take seconds to cut the steering wheel to remove the device

The interior of the Alpine just doesn't feel special, unlike the TT and the Cayman. They've cut corners and use Clio plastics. So £55-60k nearly new, one would expect a premium interior. Shame, would be an absolute no-brainer with a quality interior.

This is excellent! I used to carry one of those little Victorinox pocket knives with me. They are so useful. But I stopped carrying one after they started banning tiny knives (probably after 911) on planes. This is perfect as you said, I could just toss the blade if I forget and bring it to the airport. Easily and cheaply replace it.

Hi. I understand high end car thieves somehow access the vehicle’ CANBUS system via front headlights with a scanning tool. Is this correct? There is a an immobilization product on the market call ‘GHOST’ which is supposed to ‘shield’ against any external scanning tool. Can you shed some insight into this if you know? Cameron

Probably the most useless video I have ever watched. Put your keys by your head? What about Ghost and other immobilisers? Cut out switch on ignition, fuel pump, etc or multiple ones? Physical obstacles stop the opportunist but not the guy with the battery powered angle grinder, no need to worry if a cheap or expensive lock barrel the whole thing would last less than 10 seconds. Don’t believe me try one. Video cameras don’t help, police will not rely on them even if get a face shot and any thief with even a gram of grey matter would ware a balaclava,mask, etc! A very good tracker, in case your car is physically picked up, as they will report it plus a very good immobiliser requiring a manual input to start the car and a cut out switch is reasonable protection. If you buy an 80k plus Range Rover or similar why skim on on a couple of grand at most to stop all but the most professional thieves. I really hope 300k have not relied on this. US Marine razor blades very good call, respect.

Yeah, it's the same here. In the middle of driving, the center panel turns off, and the AC/Heating doesn't work, nor do the buttons or parking sensors. I have to restart the car (Turn off and Turn on) to get it functioning again. So irritating and my warranty for the car is now over so everything from now on will be expensive.
