Hey, can this thing hold a solid body electric? I'm old and my back hurts...
I'm assuming this would not function properly on an archtop (and back) jazz guitar?
This is way over priced. You can make it your self for 1/3 the price they charge, in fact you can make yourself two for half the price.
Every guitar support I bought sucked hopefully this one will work but I am not sure because suction cups are terrible and not reliable at all.

I recently purchased a "big" Guitarlift after reading and watching lots of glowing reviews. I cannot say how bitterly disappointed I am. Not only has it NOT alleviated the back pain I was experiencing, as promised, but new back pain has been added to the existing plus pain in my right wrist. Unfortunately, as this was purchased mail order I am unable to return it for a refund. Let this be a caution to others: don't buy before you can try, make certain a refund is an option, don't believe all the positive reviews, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I am now stuck with an overpriced piece of plastic.

If they had affixed them to the case rotated 180 degrees there would have been smiles on both of their cases as they walked away. 🤣
lt seems as though this device could effect the sound in a negative way by muting the sound board.

What kind of guitar case is that? That’s what I am looking for
I was hoping to find which case it is also. Did you ever find out?
I did some research and this is what I found out there are 3 different cases in the video. Karmen has a white Crossrock case, Stephanie has a black Altamira carbon fiber case and there is a third case that can be seen in the background in minute 4:20 that one is a Visenut case. I hope that helps.

Thanks for this review. I’m wondering what kind of Guitarlift you use for the Yamaha Silent Guitar, and how do you attach it to it?
I have been using the guitar lift since a few weeks( home made because I did not know which on would be convenient for me but I am sure I will buy one one day). I also remarked that my guitar sounds louder!
Great players! But don’t like the guitarlift. Footrest works just fine.
I hope they marry too ,and have a lots of babies that will play guitar like their beautiful mothers 😂

80 euro for piece of plexi, 4 suction cups, and glued foam? Material costs zero, labor zero. Duuude this is business!
Re: guitar supports, there's already evidence of the suction cups "impacting" the instrument's finish causing hard-to-remove, even irreparable damage. The Segovia/Tarrega position w/footstool is the best. Let's keep it for another century or two.

The Segovia/Tarrega position (w/footstool) is the best, logically and ergonomically, no matter the century. The Millennials and Gen-Zs have contributed nothing of lasting value, that will endure after the time of the current trends/fads are up.
@@stddisclaimer8020 No traumatologist or graduate in physical activities and sports or similar in the 21st century can ever tell you that it is natural to stand with one leg raised for 15 minutes or more. These "devices" may not be perfect, but they arise and have been developed for a very clear reason. Segovia and Tárrega didn´t know other options but I´m sure they would like to investigate for getting better.

Alguien que envíe a Perou
Yesterday I saw Valeria Galimova for the first time and I thought " She holds the guitar the same way I do ! " ( in a flamenco stylee ) . After getting a new microscope I spotted the guitar support . I'm glad it hasn't taken me too long to find out what it was, and this is the first advert I've ever seen on TH-cam that I want to watch over and over .....
This looks like one of those great ideas that for some reason never quite catch on. I'd like to try one though.

This was very interesting thanks for this!
I recently watched some videos of Stepanie Jones' videos' with other students. It looked like they balanced the guitar on their right knees. I then watched Andres Segovia and John Williams, who both used a prop under their left foot and rested the guitar on their left leg. I am so pleased to know the students used a new invention rather than just holding the guitar wrong.
@E. Miller: The guitar was never held "wrong" by the likes of Segovia, Bream and Williams. They were doing it correctly. If some millennial-minded fool comes along wishing to re-invent the Segovia wheel, he's welcome to try his luck at that imprudent pursuit. But, when all the frets are in, he/she is doing it wrong.

Pochi giorni fa una piccola crepa (causa secco) mi si è formata proprio dove di solito alloggi la ventosa del mio supporto, coincidenza quanto mai strana, ma comprensibile. In quella zona infatti il legno viene sottoposto a stress tramite la messa sotto vuoto di una sua porzione I supporti sono un'ottima innovazione, ma la tecnica deve ancora migliorarsi. Il prossimo sarà privo di ventose Ma applicare delle ventose sul fondo, inoltre su una superficie così grande, lo trovo inefficiente a livello strutturale per lo strumento Il danno è riparabile e non voglio commenti sull'evento, in quanto personale e riportato solo come exemplum, commentate solo riguardo alla questione supporto
